Just wondering what changes everyone has made to their bedrooms, living rooms, work spaces or whatever place you can call your own. Added any furniture, moved things around, took anything out, whatever you want to throw in. Post pics before and/or after pics if you want to (try and keep them small though). Also, feel free to talk about any changes that you plan on making. I only have my bedroom personally, no work desk or locker or anything like that. Furniture: Added another bookcase about a week and a half ago. I've got 4 bookcases in total now, 1 large, 1 medium and 2 small ones. Walls: Put up God of War and Heavenly Sword posters on the ceiling (the only wall space I have left anymore) about 3 months ago. That's the most recent change. I'll be adding a 40' wide Valkyria Chronicles wall scroll in about 2 weeks (hopefully sooner), so I will have to move some posters from the wall to the ceiling. Moved around: Moved my Manga and a few novels to the new bookcase I mentioned since it has more room, then took my PC games and moved them from the new bookcase over to the small one that the Manga were kept in. Will try to get pics tomorrow sometime. I'm probably going to have to get another bookcase soon, running out of room for my movies and games, I tend to fill them up quickly. |

My dorm is pretty cool, almost like an actual apartment. Some members in the single's club have heard me talk about it, but this thread is cool. Anyways, my one roomate moved his bed into the corner living room, so most of his stuff (computer, TV, etc.) is in there along with the router for our internet. My computer, for now, is next to his about two feet away since there's no possible room to fit it in my bedroom. Since he moved out into the living room, my other roomate (who's birthday is today 11/19), has his room all to himself. :/ I'm stuck sharing a room, but it's not totally bad because he's only here at least two days barely for classes. But when I first moved in, I wayyyyy overpacked my clothes. I'm now considering bringing some home, possibly around Thanksgiving break next week, but depends on who picks me up. If my parents do and drive out, yeah I'll pack stuff up a few days before and bring some home. At least one of my two dufflebags, pack it with t-shirts and whatnot, non-winterish stuff. You're here in the city, gotta pay to wash clothes, easier to have stuff at home to change into if there's stuff actually at home, etc. My room, nothing too decorative or whatever, for now. I'm hoping to get my future iMac soon, depending on how soon I get a job and all that (really need money). The iMac takes up no desk space at all, so I might move that into my bedroom, but like the bedrooms are totally small. The ratio of the size from the bedroom to the living room is vast, and that's mainly because the beds aren't bunked. He graduates in about a year, so maybe by then I'll bunk it and whatnot after coming back. I'll obviously have the new roomate in my room, which is fine, and it depends on if my two other roomates move out or not, and I hope they don't cause they're cool dudes. I lowered my bed down, and felt so like, happy after doing it, haha. Before it was raised, high enough to put a dresser underneath it (storage). Plus it's high, like I have to leap up a bit just to get on bed, lol. We have one too many dressers in our room, but the two I'm using aren't on top and below each other. There's two little ones inside to hold the single one up, and my roomate's TV is on top of that. I won't see him for another two weeks, but I'll ask him to help me move it and take the smaller ones out since I don't need 'em. It'll give us more room to move around though I'm barely in my room anyways with my computer in the living room, but before that I gotta pack up some clothes, and at least put 'em in the closest cause I don't even wear barely a quarter of the t-shirts I brought along. I barely wear all of my five or six pair of jeans I brought along since I wear two pairs twice or so a week. ------- |

New bed sheets!! I've been thinking of revamping my room for quite a while but I just don't have the money. My room is the biggest in the apartment, but there's too many things that it becomes quite cramped. I figured out that I have too many unnecessary things in the room and the bed is way too big. And I'm planning to do something about my office at work, maybe I should take a picture of how it looks now and then compare it to once I'm done, it's in a mess when I took over from my upperstudy. With the school holidays up, the school will be empty without it students so I have all the time in the world to clean it up. |

my bed and cupboard are fixed permanently so i can't change their position... the only changes i did was changing the position of my television. now it's positioned at a higher place, easier for me to play games in bed. lol. i also added some Tales posters i got recently, so my room is so full of them now...XD just changed bedsheets the other day, not a new one, but a change is nice once in a while. more comfy too lol. |

Yeah, I helped with a major change in our down stairs basement. . . We had a room that used to be used as a soundproof room studio, but it was very old, so I helped my stepdad fix it up by taking out the plug-in covers and replacing them with new ones, and covering the walls in primer white paint (Its' the stuff you put on the wall before you actually paint it) After we let it set in, we began painting the walls a pretty dark red. Then after looking at how disgusting the old carpet looked, we bought a new roll of carpet and we had to cut the carpet according to the shape and area of the floor. . . After we slapped the carpet down, we moved our pool table inside, but we had to take it apart since it wouldn't fit through the door. . .After we set the pool table up inside, I touched up a little on the red painted walls. . . After all the compilcated things were done, I helped to decorate it a bit with new lamp fixtures. . . We still have to work on the rest of our basement though. . .Overall, the new room looks great! I'll see if I can get the pictures for the before and after. . . |

As far as my room is concerned my four poster bed became really short because my friends all piled on it at once and broke the stats. So now it sits on the floor. I've left it like that since the beginning of the school year and now it's starting to annoy me. I also just got an Akibono cherry tree for in my back yard!!! It's sooo pretty... well at least it will be when it blooms. My family is working on completely re-landscaping our back yard. Then when that is done we're going to pain the garage and turn it into the Teenager's cavern!! complete with a new PS3! |

Organized. Add a bookcase. And more mess with the story books I've brought xD
I claimed someone that I can't remember because photobucket is ended.

Organized my large bookshelf to properly house my games. From N64 to PS3, all of my games are grouped based on their system and quantity. Pretty simple. I then moved books, walkthroughs, magazines and whatnot to another, smaller book shelf. |

Last summer I painted and changed rooms (Although that's not too recent). A few weeks ago I re-organized my manga, anime figurines, etc. on my bookshelves, and I took my Wii out of storage since I've started to replay some Gamecube games out of boredom (Again >.>). For the past two weeks we've been getting new windows throughout our house, so there's now new windows in my bedroom as well. And currently I'm trying to clean up this one corner of my bedroom in order to put a new "entertainment area" type of thing over there (And once that's done I'll be able to get a PS3. Although, I'm not sure how long it will take to clean up this area >.>) |

Recently thought about hanging up all my k-pop posters I bought a few months ago while I was still in the city. I have to measure to see if there's enough space, but my room would look really different if I hunt ALL of them up for sure. ------- |

lol, tried moving my dresser the one day and was like, "ah, f#ck this..." and went back to doing whatever on the computer. XD ...and still haven't hung up those posters, though I did hang up a new movie-related one on my door. Might take the other to outside my room down and hang two new ones up as well. ------- |

I got a new desk recently, so I got rid of my old one, and my great-grandmother's coffee table (I don't even know why that's in my room; when my parents don't have enough room, they use mine for storage), and I moved my dresser completely across the room onto the wall and I have my TV' PS3, and Wii on top of that. Where my dresser used to be, in the corner, is my new corner desk, which on top rests my computer. I've put up some posters, though I'm reluctant to put up a poster of some anime that I got for free at Anime Expo a couple of years ago since I'm almost completely grown out of anime. So I have a canvas poster of Edison Park (Angel Stadium) on one wall, a Chuck Norris Jokes poster on another wall (it's legit man), and a Transformers 2 movie poster on the wall closest to my bed, next to my placards and framed awards. Before I moved everything around, it was a lot different. I'll have to get before and after pics. (I have the before, I just need to get the after). And I just remembered I need to find a place for my various basketball and baseball trophies >.> |
