It's pretty unusual to have a blind guy as the main character, kinda enjoyed the first episode^^ |

Nice to see you are deciding to take a look at this series Key-san. My experience is mainly from the game so i'm interested to see what they will incorporate in the series. I assume this is the first part of the story...in the game it is seperated into 3 parts. The 'Past', 'Reunion' & finally 'After'. The 'Past' sets up all the characters & how Takuma Hirose meets all the girls. 'Reunion' is just as the name suggests...at a certain point Hirose leaves for a while then comes back to see the girls who have changed (this is where we see Hayami in her pigtails)...at this point in the game you choose the girl you want to be with. The 'After' arc finishes up the story where most (if not all) the H-scenes are shown. Like a few other games (MuvLuv, F/SN)...H2O often uses scenes where the characters are in Super-deformed style...these are often very hilarious & a nice change of pace from the quite sometimes dramatic moments in the story. You can see a sample of these in the PREVIEW at the end of the episode....the exact same style is used. I'll post some of the game samples when i get the chance to screencap them. @ Kay-san Yes that is true...but if you noticed at the end of the episode where he meets Hayami...Hirose can see. The fact that he is blind is one of the main points in the story...he doesn't know why he's that way....could it be because of the death of his mom?...or is there another reason for it? Those are the questions that will be given to you throughout the story. Also what is the relation between Hirose & Otoha? What is she besides a ******. @ Jamky-san Yes that was unsettling but that is what happened in the game....Hayami is a loner is the best way i can describe her. To Yui Tabata (girl with the goons) she is a commoner since she herself is from a rich family....Hayami's unwillingness to make friends & non-socialble character is the reasons for her being bullied. Why she doesn't fight back...i won't say cause of spoilers. |

I dLed the first episode yesterday night (or like, 2AM this morning) I should say. I read a bit about it, and the main guy is a blind guy. That's pretty unique to read about. But when he transfers into a new school and meets, I think it was three girls, his vision slowly recovers and heals. The story sounds very interesting and I scanned through a bit of the intro of episode one yesterday night before I slept and it looks really good. ------- |

The OP anisong is very nice imho. However, the OP animation was better from the game when I took a look at it. Sucks that the OP single won't be out until Feb... Edit: my bad, the OP single is Jan 25...got Rosario's OP release date of early Feb and this mixed up. I find it interesting that the intro recites the translated version of the Christian poem Footprints, without finishing it...I assumed it would be a religious (ie. Christian) anime at first, which I thought was odd since well...ero ge- based :p I don't know which is worse (better?) in terms of the fan-service though...Rosario+Vampire has 32~33 upskirt shots amongst a few other things according to someone who counted over on nicovideo... Sounds like this will be an utsu anime though based off of 1ep and not playing the game. |

As promised here are some samples of the SD style artwork featured in the game....some of these may appear in the anime (if they decide to use them)...some of them are sort of animated so these don't really do much to show that. *sorry some i forgot to edit so you can see my desktop back ground* If you wanna see more from the game feel free to ask & i'll post some more. |

ok... i've finished DL and already watching it, guess i'm a bit late one word for ya all, INTERESTING. really, i don't know why but it have something not plain but turmoil in the first episode. this one hooked me the most, from the other (clannad, ef, kimonozo) @izumo well let's hear it ^^ but conceal the spoiler ^^ some may don't want to read about it but i don't know maybe this is the one i most like, compared to clannad, ef, kiminozo ^^ um.... since the first ep has out, should i wrote down the review or even discuss the event in the first ep, since some may still haven't saw it yet, and discussing about it make kinda spoiling??? still from what you said i think it really interesting ARGH!!!!KOHINATA HAYAMI KAWAIIII!!!!!!!!! (hate the pigtail though TT) and lastly Izumo please en light us from the game view, i really one to know i hope hayami will be more in the last three pic you post (fightback LOL ^^) |

Sure i can add some more...i won't put any spoiler pics up though. @ Key-san No...i'm not gonna spoil anything...mainly cause i already said too much in the CLANNAD thread that some were a little upset about it. So i'm gonna stay quiet & point out things as the series goes along. As for your question...well we can dicuss episodes but try to do it without spoileing it for those who have yet to see it yet. @ Jansuke-san The episode sort of tells us why Hayami is constantly getting bullied & beat up by goons. First of all Hayami is a 'commoner' & unsociable....she doesn't make friends easily. Next Yui considers herself above all (since she's from a rich family) & hates the fact Hayami is a commoner & a loner basically. She has her goons do those things to send a message. The question is why Hayami doesn't fight back....well you'll understand that as the series goes along. @ MelloBoy-san Yeah...the song is very nice indeed. Is it really based on a Christian Poem....interesting i may have to look it up. Personally i'm more used to the original game intro & endings. 'H2O' & 'Tommorrow' by monet (which you can get at my profile...original versions). There are remixed versions of the song that i use to have up but since i figure they may incorporate them in the anime series eventually i removed them. Also i added some new PC game intros...one of them is "√after and another" the sequel to H2O....you'll see some familiar faces in it. |

I really liked the first episode. The girls are really cute (appearance/personality wise) - no wonder he regains his vision. One thing that's weird though, are those dancing horses during the OP/ED credits, lol. Not sure what that's all about, but it's pretty random and funny. So far, I seem to like, Hamaki, Hinata, and Otoha. =>.<= ------- |

@ DAngel-san I see you noticed the dancing horses as well....i'm not sure if it is related but i think it is poking fun at a function that you can do in the game. It is kinda funny & wierd....you know that H2O is a Hgame right? Well just in case you don't want anyone to notice that YOU are playing an adult game the game has a 'safe' button. When you don't want anyone to notice press the specific button & the game switches to 1 of i don't know how many random pictures that have nothing to do with the game...it is like a screensaver pic. Some are of scenary, abstract art, to bizarre pics....like one of a B&W toy horses head with blood spots splattered around the image. @ Suzaku-san Heh...looks like my profile is being put to some use & not just for show...hopw you get the chance to see the series as well. Though probably not as emotional as CLANNAD is going to be H2O still has its moments. ********************************************************** This will be the final screenshots of the game...cause more will spoil it....some of these again may appear in the anime. I for one think that pic 'h2od' will appear. Hayami has a weakness to something in particular that absolutely freaks her out...the results are as you see. Also i'll let you guys figure out what the kanji says in one of the pics. Also if you paid attention to the end credits you will notice something familiar in some of the pics....kids often play with it...does it have anything to do with the series...maybe?(^__^)! & why does Otoha have long hair?....again you'll see...enjoy. |

WHAAAAAAAA HAYAMI KAWAIIII!!!! right now i'm really the fan of hayami!! @izumo well first i tahnk you for the input, cause i'm just as blind as Hirose about this anime, and you're the most inform person on gendou about this kind of anime i think ^^, so your profile that put the list on it really help well here what i got, hirose probably have connection with train accident stuff, for otoha for once i believe she was just ordinary student, but what do you know she a real spirit of voice ^^ i didn't believe it until she appear in hirose room at the end of the film i feel bad for hayami, good thing hirose defend her btw if this from the game then there should be multiple ending in it, does this game have each char ending and bad ending like (the died word in it), coz it would be suck if this anime goes to the (died word) and from true tear thread it said that true tear is not as depth in emotional struggle as H2O is the story really have depth emotional scar all around?? i thought at first this going to be a light story or medium one |
Re: H2O~Footprints in the sand~
|
@Key It's not so much that True Tears isn't as deep as H2O, rather they're very different and True Tears didn't really reveal too much in ep1 except through inference from the characters personalities and what the rooster girl said at the end. H2O started rather brutally compared to a lot of anime, even those that fall into the depressing category so atleast for the time being, H2O does appear, skin deep (no pun intended), to be a little more in depth, but definitely both H2O and TT are worth watching. Going off topic a bit, but if you want another good one, I would highly suggest 「シゴフミ(shigofumi)〠which is katakana for æ»å¾Œæ–‡ which translates into "Letter from the Dead" which just started airing a few days ago as well. I don't think this one is on as many people's radars as no high def torrents exist for it, and the number of seeders/leechers were on the magnitude of 50~60% less than H2O when I dropped it. I think this one is quite a bit harsher/depressing than H2O. |

@melloboy (off topic) i now that anime, it is an ova, i fell it more like shinigami no ballad anyway it still a trailer for what i got on anime suku for brutality nothing compared the first scene of higurashi, i was shock back then, i thought at first this is going to be a romance anime but the first scene already serve a scene where the boy beating up the girls to dead H2O first appearence may off at first but when the scene highlight hirose i'm a bit relieve, well still it is unease to see girl being punch and kick (but compared to higurashi=hitting with baseball bat >.<) |

Thank you Key-san but i'm no expert...there are still things from this game as well as others that i've played that i didn't fully understand. Probably cause of my below average japanese. One day i'll take a course to fully develop my knowledge of it but i know enough to get by games like these. Anyways...yes there are multiple endings in the game...like i mentioned before...there are 3 stages in the story. Past, Reuinon, & After....you make your choice during the Reunion stage for which girl you want to be with...being either Hayami, Hinata, or Otoha. All the girls have a story to tell....hopefully the anime will dive into each one of them. There isn't really any deaths other than a backstory of Hirose mom's accident. However there is something that is sorta like that (if they are gonna use it in the anime that is)...i'll leave it for you guys to figure that out. It's not as emotional as Kiminozo or as CLANNAD is going to be...but the series does have its emotional moments. Things that will make anyone sad...not really 'tear-jerker' material but more like 'choked up'..you feel like crying moments. As the series goes along i'll post my opinions on it & how it compares with the game...like i said i'm not gonna to reveal anything about the story at all. When the series ends than that will be the time i can offer my experience. This is just my opinion but the title graphic i think gives away the path that the anime is gonna take....as well as the particular item shown. I guess we'll see if my hunches are right. |

[@Izumo] Yeah, I knew well in advance this is another anime, based off of a Visual Novel. I don't really care if it's related to h*ntai, cause it doesn't bother me. Some people sometimes classify these types of animes incorrectly just cause it's based off of a visual novel. I don't really discriminate, and h*ntai doesn't bother me whatsoever. =>.<= /dokidoki~ If I were you, I'd take a course to learn Japanese NOW! I'm mean, I'm almost near the point of my life where I need to decide if I'm going to learn it now or later. So take the opportunity to learn it and if you take a course, I heard you get much more than just a class to learn a language. ^_^` ------- |

@ DAngel-san Hmmmm....you think so....i guess i'll take it to consideration. Right now isn't a great time to learn it for me...maybe during the summer when i have some more free time. It will certainly make playing these games & watching anime MUCH mor easier. Thanks for the advice!! **GOMEN*** (bows) for being a tad off topic for a moment there (bows) |
