Mech Anime suggestions.

Well ever since I've started playing Super Robot Wars I've become more and more intrested in the Mech Anime Genre. Any suggestions in Mech Anime besides Gundam, and Macross.

FMP is also a "mecha" genre anime, and it's a GREAT series!

I also highly recommend Full Metal Panic (FMP) ^^ It really is a great series. It's exciting and funny all the way to the end. X) |

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann [the best anime of 2007 in my opinion ^^] Code Geass [if you liked Death Note and Gundam Seed] Eureka 7 [lots of good emotional moments] others worth mentioning: Heroic Age Bokurano Soukyuu no fafner |

For the real robot genre, I recomend Full metal panic. For super robots, I suggest the Mazinkaiser OVA, New Getter Robo, and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann |

Fafner Code Geass (but probably not since you don't want Gundam sorts, which happens to be created by Sunrise like Code Geass) Escaflowne Soukou no Strain Tekkaman Blade Sakura Wars Argento-Soma Gunparade March Personally, Bokurano and Dual! would cause one to lose interest in mecha Anime. Gurren Lagann had "gar" elements of a super robot show like Godannar, GGG, and what-not rather than being mecha (though probably still would be enjoyable to the TC). Some other sleeper/average mecha related shows are Eva, Rahxephon, Neo Ranga, Gasaraki, Betterman, Gravion, Voices of a Distant Star, etc. |

Dont kno if you would really call it a mech series but one of 2 of my favs are Sky Girls Full Metal Panic  |

In my opinion, Tengen Toppa Gruuen-Lagann is one of the best! I Just got done watching it; a must-see. Being dubbed into English this year. |

Code Geass is the only one I can think of that's not Gundam. But its made by the the same people. (Sunrise) Character designs are by CLAMP though (My first reason for watching) It kind of has a Death Note feel.. Give it a try. I thought I'd hate it at first but now I'm dying for the second season (which comes out in April) |

My favorites and reasons: Eureka Seven - for its most dramatic mecha series and Best Television Series Overman King Gainer - has also same Character Design (Ken'ichi Yoshida) as Eureka 7 Brave King Gaogaigar - for its massive "Goldion Crusher" Voltes V - my first mecha series Combattler V -my 2nd mecha series Daimos - my third mecha series   Follow the road you believe in --> |

I'd highly recommend: These are the choices that any fan should see: Full Metal Panic (all of them) Neon Genesis Evangelion TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN (^so good, I used caps lock on the whole title, lol) Side Recommendations for the adventurous: Bokurano Gundam X - I know you said besides gundam, but this is perhaps the single most overlook gundam series of all, which is unfortunate since it's perhaps one of the top 3 I have ever seen and by far is the most suitable if you're looking for simply a fun series to watch. Less war is blah blah talk, no whiny wimps, just the good stuff.

I would say Toward the Terra. Toward the terra isn't the same old same old Mecha anime where people babble technical nonsense. It's about these 'race' of people with super powers, but defects too~ They're trying to defeat this supercomputer woman thing. Yeah. It's pretty awesome. Well... Gundam Seed Gundam Seed Destiny Are good... Hey, does anyone know where I can watch Brain Powerd and Tekkaman Blade? Hehe... I've also been playing Super Robot Wars and I've been looking for these animes for a long time... |
