Hello! If you haven't been keeping an eye on this particular project and are wondering what's going on, this is the place for you! The project is as the title says, we're working towards making a complete visual novel, complete with text, anime style characters, voice acting, and opening... everything! (Except for H-Scenes) In light to the majority of visual novels having main characters being guys, this particular one is told from a female lead (Aya) whom has lost her memory. There isn't any set finish date for this project. It would be nice if I had a paycheck to hand over the members heads to give them a little incentive, but everything here's a pure labor of love to get this thing finished. Oh, I probably should have mentioned this first. Making a visual novel was just a random idea sparked on the Writer's Club/Guild. Someone made a little contest, and we decided to make a visual novel out of it. Go figure. We've been on operation for over a year now. Yet there is still work to be done. Oh yes, we have a shoutmix box now. Let your voice be heard! (Sort of) We are in need of Artists, Coders, and people well acquainted with Music! Even if you think you're a novice, what we need the mist is people willing to burn off some of their precious time to help. You might come out of this better at the skill than you where before. ;) ~Specialized Positions~ Art: Is getting ready to start doing CG work and Making Character Sprites. Darky-san has requested assistance for Base Colorist - One who puts down the basic colors on line art. Background Artist - One who does artwork for the background. ~News~ That would be right folks. This project has most certainly been hanging about for a year already. It's actually kind of surprising to actually say we've been working on this for a year already. I mean, it really is quite a feat for a group of users on the internet to actually invest their free time in working on a project. So, a big kudos to everyone on the development team! So, today, I would like to present a gift to the people who've been watching this project. The 1 Year anniversary post-new-update-special! A good amount of the story has been heavily brainstormed in the past year. While one would think someone can just pull out a plot line they like, it isn't quite true for the people working here. The people in writing have had to clear up details with one another regarding character histories, behavior, etc. Considering there are 3 different writers with 3 different writing styles, one needs to make sure they can interpret the given characters properly. At the moment, just about all of the major characters, and most of the minor characters have been created. Writing also did things differently by starting things out by writing the actual endings for each particular character they where assigned to. This year, much of the work will for writing will be in writing out the main story of the VN (Everything before the endings). I also have to say our Art department has also gone beyond the call of duty on occasion when it comes to making art. I swear that they've been pumping out artwork like mad! Thanks to them, they've drawn several designs for the characters. Art has also been a bit of a morale booster, as there is no better sign of progress then seeing it for yourself. This year, art is to make a start on backgrounds, and making finished character sprites. As more of the story starts to get written, they'll also be tasked with drawing illustrations for important parts of the Visual Novel. Personally, I have to give a slight nod of apology to music. Unfortunately, things have terribly stunted for them in terms of progress. Mostly because any need for music at such an early stage of development made any requests very vague. But with the progress we've made so far, we can finally start making requests. Our music department is composed of members with skill and talent as well as impatience to get things moving. This year, we're starting music off by having them meet with each other and decide things such as instruments to use, and some rough outlines of some of the music they intend to make. And finally, good old coding. Also on the same situation with music, these guys have been somewhat on standby as well. Similarly because we didn't have anything to code considering everything was still starting out. However, as portions of the script are finalized, they will find there will be much work do be done! My hope is that this year we can have some of the script done for coding to work around with. Some of the first things they'll be working on will be things like making a main menu, and seeing of they can work some of my assorted requests that ponder the capacities of the Renpy Code. For smaller but still important notes, this year we also made a website! While we still don't have a ton of media and such to fill it at the moment, it is still a good thing to have set up! The best thing about it right now is that you can view all of the artwork that's been produced in one convenient art gallery. Well that does it for the other departments. People interested in things such as the voice acting role will still be in waiting (sorry!) until a sufficient portion of the Visual Novel's script has been written down. When that time comes, expect us to release portions of the script for people to use for auditions. Thanks for checking by! As always, volunteers are still in demand for this project! You can always PM me or even post on the thread here. But to sum it up, thanks for letting us inhabit the other section to keep this project progressing Gendou.com! Now, presenting some of the finished art for the characters. In Darky's words: "chibis serve as basic color references too, later :D" And no, this gut (Tyson) isn't the only one done. Click on his picture to see the whole album! Darky-san also noted that you're free to use them if anyone wants to make a sig or the like! The sigs he's made himself (Just look for one of Darky's posts) Are free to be used by people who would like to use them as well. If you want to see the rest of the art in the archive without needing to go through the pages of this thread, you can head to the website's photo gallery. (link is in the 'links of use' section) Melanie Rogers "Lax? Do you by any chance know what 'Fatal System Error' means?" Age: 16 Occupation: Student A one of the taller girls in Aya's class, she also ran for track in her first two years in high school. She apparently has known Aya since they where in grade school. She's an overall nice girl who with lots of energy thanks to a high metabolism. Despite this, she doesn't make a large amount of friends, as she is somewhat shy in nature. Nonetheless, she treasures the few friendships and acquaintances she has. Aside from running, she also likes take long naps. For that reason she is a bit on the lazy side. She's also taken a liking to using the computer and going about the internet to look up cool and random facts, but has bad tendencies of downloading bad files. She did her best to get Aya reacquainted with general high school life. She also helps Aya with homework when Lax isn't readily available. Since she quit the track and field team this year, she has lots of free time. However, she also faces the great task of refilling Aya on all of their inside jokes. Felicity Maximilian "I would like my hamburger cooked to medium rare. Also make sure that the ice takes up no less than an 8th of the total space in the cup. I would also like that you toast the bread until it has it's own subtle flakiness. As for the fries..." Age: 15 Occupation: Student - Student Government Committee Member A upright girl with the full faith of the United States stock market backing her household income, she is one of the wealthier kids in the school. In terms of extracurricular, she is also a part of the school's student government committee. Which has recently dealt with matters pertaining to the proxy wars going on between the Library and Hacking Club factions in the school. Given her upbringing, she has that sort of high class attitude that can be insulting on occasion. Felicity is also very critical of herself and to others. Particularly, she is well known for making outrageous requests whenever they go to eat fast food. Despite being a freshman, she is well respected in school politics for more than just her predictably massive inheritance. The summer Felicity graduated from middle school, her parents decided to leave the big city and move to the suburbs to retire. That summer she befriended Aya when she helped her get home when she (as well as her purse) got lost exploring the town. Though she has a good amount of friends, she still holds her friendship with Aya the closest. She jokes that Aya's first reaction to seeing her house for the first time was exactly the way she reacted when she first saw Felicity's house before the accident. Mashiro Friedmont "So what's amnesia like Aya? I'm pretty sure it must feel weird." Age 17 Occupation - Student, Anime Club Member The girl who lead Aya to like anime before the accident. Mashiro is a very social girl who likes to speak her mind. Though she normally hangs around with her particular group of friends, she also goes out of her way every now and then to help Aya out. She also likes to state the obvious on occasion. She was born on the United States military base on Okinawa. Though both of her parents where of American Descent, they took a liking to the name and decided to give it to their daughter. Though she is a part of the Anime Club by definition, she is also loosely acquainted with people from many different people in the school due to her taking many different classes and clubs. She also ran for the track team but quit after freshman year. According to Mashiro, she met Aya her freshman year, and took a liking to her. She took Aya with her to see the club, but didn't give off the best first impression when she got caught in the middle of the group's scheduled team sword-battle match. However, Aya took a liking to some of the shows that they screened and decided to come by and participate in anything not involving violence every now and then. The old Aya apparently loved to cosplay, but... Here's another fabulous bonus! A teaser of the Visual Novel! click here for spoiler April 2, 10 -New characters... and a shoutbox?! That's right! I decided to go try the shoutbox thing! Hopefully I entered the code properly, so let the voice of the people grace the front page! Also, a sort of recruitment call for our Art department. The lads there are interested in getting started on making character sprites and backgrounds. Once again, help is starting to get needed. And finally, are some other characters. Things such as Uncle San, Why the Computer Hacking Club President hates Lax... as well as the identities of other various minor characters are revealed! -> Original Post...or you can scroll down. Here's another sketch for people who might've missed it. Feb 17, 10 -Much Needed Update? Well considering our last update was last year I guess apologies are in order, people still following this! AT the moment, writing is slowly creeping into getting the main story plotted out. That's right folks, we didnt get abducted by Santa this year! As well as the "Journal" Feature that has Aya's daily thoughts from before the start of the game and the time as you follow her through it. A couple of new drafts for characters coming out from Darky-san to make this update more interesting! Featuring sisters Cathy Ashlander (The Hacking club's secretary) and Kit Ashlander (Ever loving annoyance of a sister) Click for larger size! Huh!?, what do you mean my joke was lame!? November 27, 09 -Passive Job List Greetings, person who just so happened to check for an update- hope you had a great day or holiday depending on the corner of the world your reside in! Today, I simply added a Passive Job List, because most members are usually pretty busy to dedicate to something, I just put up small task they can complete when they get the time or will to do work on this project! September 21, 09 -Not Dead! Wow, how long was it since the last update? Well, for the 1 to 1/2 persons who have been waiting on an update, here it is! Right now, some of the arc writers are starting to make moves to beginning writing arcs. We also have to do some collab with the coding department so we can do some basic coding before they go in and do all the really complicated things. At the moment, the project is in hiatus. Which is basically we're slowed down a bit... I mean, A LOT due to general life. Like the update above, we try to get a bit done as free time admits. Hopefully, everyone will be able to have something to work on once the arcs start to get submitted. ~Upcoming Dates~ N/A (Again?) ~Links of Use~ Kazegan Website Main Terror's Guide to Renpy Code for Arc Writers Passive Task Job List! Writing: Get those endings written, Dept head, start plotting main story when possible. Coding: Stick on (trying out engine). But expect some of the coded endings to come in before/after proofreading. Website: At the moment it's just updating for new artwork. It may very well be time I consider writing updates for the main site too. (Sorry for neglecting it!!!! >.<) Music: Okay, so I have an early Call on... I want you guys to meet up in an IM meeting coming up. I asked Schaz-san to contact you all, for an upcoming date to meet up. Art: I'd like to see some drafts on colored versions of the characters. Also start considering options for backgrounds as well. I have a couple of requests for the website in stock coming up. ~Character Codes for Script~ Aya → ay Tyson → ty Lax → la Uncle Sam → us Rei → rei Cathy → ca Kit → kit (Based off of Mokona's competition story and the winning entry. NOTE! Things may end up being changed as more is determined) Aya couldn't have the worst luck. What happens when you wake up one day, a 16 year old girl in high school, sitting atop a hospital bed - and have absolutely no memory of how you got there? That is the sad situation she's faced with. Her unfortunate memory loss caused by a certain "He" mentioned in her diaries. A previous life with a boyfriend she caught kissing another girl, then to be hit by a car and put into a coma; would remembering this mystery person really be worth it? ~Known Characters~ Aya Age: 16 Occupation: Student A girl who ran away from home, only to be hit by a car and put into a coma. When she wakes up she has no memories of who she was. Aya hopes to regain herself with only her diaries, and precious friends and family to refer to. Most of her family and friends expected her to be confused and withdrawn when she woke up from her coma. That was true, for maybe the first week. Aya according to therapeutic observation is a kind and open girl. With a hint of childishness... though that could be because of the amnesia. Reading back in her diary, the original Aya seemed to be such a different person. If this her second chance at life or is she simply fated to fill in the blanks of the one she forgot? Tyson - "If you're in a pinch, I'll be there!" Age: 16 Occupation: Student An outgoing boy with an open personality. He took his responsibility as one of Aya's friends help her out in a her time of need, as as such: is (almost) always the first one who happens to be there to help. If Aya and her group of friends end up doing something odd. then more than likely they where all dragged into it by Tyson. Tyson has a passion for his truck, which he's invested a good amount of time and money into. He's also good friends with Aya's cousin, Lax. Thanks to various odd and end relationships in elementary school, he's friends with some of the strongest at school. Amongst this secret order Tyson is ranked '4'; for reasons Aya could only begin to comprehend. Like Lax, Tyson has his own share of choose-able followers, but seems to stick around Aya and her friends most of the time. Whether it be something he's always done or just special attention given due to her situation is something Aya has yet to inquire. Could the empty feelings she feels towards him be because of her not remembering their time together- or something else? Lax - "It's alright as long as you don't make a fool of yourself." Age: 16 Occupation: Student Aya's cousin, cool and collected as well as a hit with the girls, though he finds the little quirk more of a nuisance than anything else. Tyson as well as Lax's other friends call him by the affectionate nickname: "Laxative" much to Lax's own dismay. Tyson admits Lax's "silent and collected" attitude works on females at their school just as good as it works in the movies. Lax spends much of his time volunteering at the library, largely for his skill in defrauding the various ways students try to attack the school's computer network. He works a protective labor of love... or rather was forcibly retained as the school network's security dog. Because of this, the school's "Hacking" club declared Lax to be their ultimate rival, though they usually end up losing and get pounded up by Tyson and Lax's group of friends. He made sure to be there when Aya first woke up and also helped her readjust to school life, but recently he seems to be trying to keep his distance from her, -why? Reikou Kizuna - "Everything has its own price to pay." Age: 16 Occupation: Student - Library Defense Committee One of those guys who seems to keep to himself most of the time. Few at school really know much about him. Various odds and ends made him a part of the group protecting the library's computers due to the various attacks from the computer hacking club. Rei is actually quire resourceful, even going as far as cutting the Hacking Club's Power supply on one occasion. His real calling seems to be with machines and gadgets. Seeing as some people say they've spotted him working at a repair shop. Maybe he's good with cars as well? He's also an excelling student, but tends to get bored pretty easily. Rei also has strong feelings about protecting people, which has oftentimes lead to all out fighting, but he really would avoid doing such things if there was a choice. Despite this, the many people he's hurt trying to protect himself and others has placed him very close to being expelled. Uncle Sam - "Train, train, and train, you cant get an 'A' in physics if you don't know the trajectory of your grenade!" Age: 47 Occupation: Uncle A good and loving uncle, as well as Aya's legal guardian. He's lived with aya as far back as she could remember (Even before the accident). He's a strongly patriotic man whose had more than his fair share of bullets shot at him in defense of his country. He isn't the guy on the recruitment posters mind you! Now retired, he still seems to occasionally have some difficulty readjusting to life outside the base. Though many people debated whether his orphaned nice would be able to grow to be a fine normal girl; Aya nonetheless grew to be a fine normal girl. Unfortunately, he's already starting to hint at being a bit senile. While, things like "Morning Roll Call" and being able to know the military alphabet (Eg. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie... etc.) he now occasional strikes out at imaginary communists in the middle of the night. Aya, even as memory-less as she is, does not seem too worried about this. Cathy Ashlander - "Guys, do we really need to go through with this again?" Age: 17 Occupation: Student - Hacking Club Member The secretary and general damage control member of the hacking club. She generally keeps track of things. Amongst the members of the group, she seems to take on the most responsibility as to the fact the head of the club is dead obsessed with defeating Lax, and the supervising teacher couldn't care less about the club. She gave up on trying to beat Lax and infiltrating the library servers a long time ago; as in, she gave up the moment the idea came up in the first place. Nonetheless- despite the groups sudden obsession with the task at hand, she does her best to keep things running, or even more so keep things looking normal. She's also somewhat educated in first aid, as due to the many hostile encounters with Lax's friends. Aside from the club, she also has interest in new and unusual gadgets "Kit" Ashlander - "Computers are so fun! I used mine to play Jenga, Monopoly, Connect the Dots, Frisbee, Tennis, and Soccer without even needing to turn it on!" Age: 15 Occupation: Student - Hacking Club Member The younger of the Ashland sisters, she's also proven to be a bit of an odd duck of a character. Most of the time she seems to be a laid back free spirit -or a complete idiot in some cases, though most of her teachers say they find her completely delightful to have in class. She's also been itching to get herself into a fight- which she's had several chances in diving into. However Cathy has always been nearby to hold her back. Academically she's actually has the best grades out of anyone in the club. No one aside from her family would know her first name. 'Kit' which could be short for many things, is even listed on her ID and even the school roster. She joined the Hacking Club along with her older sister: Cathy just to tag along. But it's a simple fact that she has little no computer literacy whatsoever. Which the club found out the hard way when she destroyed one of the computers in the classroom the club uses. Miss Alice Hane - "It is important that educators maintain a safe and prosperous learning environment for... -oh do you need me to repeat that?" Age 29: Occupation: Principal West High School's principal. A nice lady known for the prized pearl necklace she wears around her neck. Principal Alice hates conflict of any sort. The fact that the library and computer club have turned into opposing factions that have skirmishes in the school hallways on almost a weekly basis is of great concern to her. She also is albeit soft spoken. Though her loyal staff helps to put her orders to action (and calm down any wrongdoers) of which she finds as a great disgrace to always have to need assistance from the staff. Principal Alice personally took steps to help Aya after her memory loss; including changing her friend's class schedules so that they could be with her in most of her classes. Mr. Carl Marks - "...." Age 29: Occupation: History Teacher, Library Worker One of the history teachers for Aya's particular grade. He is well known for his prominent hairstyle and wear of sunglasses. He doesent talk much either, really, but Mr. Carl puts lots of thought into every sentence (most of the time). He seems a little discontent as a teacher. Probably due to low teacher salaries? Mr. Marks also went to school with Principal Alice. However, despite this, he isn't quite as friendly with the principal as one would assume. The only other thing kids see him do aside from teaching is working at the library as a sort of guard (for extra pay). Because of this, he is also somewhat involved in the conflict against the computer hacking club. All of Aya's friends where able to be conveniently placed in the same period during history (Which is Mr. Marks' Class). That, latched onto the library job, makes him conveniently around all the time. Uncle Sam also seems to not like this guy for some reason. Tristan Clark (NEW!) - "We'll definitely get Lax this time, I'm sure of it!" Age: 17 Occupation: Computer Hacking Club President The respectable president of the computer hacking club. He's knowledgeable with computers, and hates losing as much as... the thing he hates the most. Thus we have the current situation where his is locked in conflict with Lax and associates. Tristan pursues Lax with an indomitable fury that shall not be quenched until his revenge is realized! Originally the head of the computer security club, Tristan hooked his lavish 1500$ + Tax laptop into the library server one day. He was, with another student; hacking into the library's system to remove a massive 16$ late charge on some of his checkouts from the library. Lax was also on the job that day, and in the end, Tristan's beloved 1500$ + Tax laptop was fried. So he went back into his club room, and slammed his fist on the table. Catching everyone's attention instantly. With a loud voice fill of passionate fury and anger, he said: "There's someone I need to settle a score with. Who is with me!?" The only thing more extravagant than his obsession to beat lax is that fact that he still has club members. Allen Garpo - "Darn it, Ashley, cant you do something about your sister!?" Age: 16 Occupation: Computer Hacking Club Member For girls, he's a bit easier to look at then the club's president. He originally joined the club when it was still about computer maintenance. Allen somewhere along the line, became good friends with the club president, and has loyally accompanied him on his computer related quests. Allen comes from a relatively wealthy family. As such, he always seems to have some good technology on hand. Which of course, always attracts the unwanted attention of local club terror Kit, who finds hand held electronics as nothing less than interesting objects for juggling. He would be completely alright with Ashley if she didn't come bundled with her annoyance of a sister. He's almost on par with the president when it comes to computer skills. Allen was also a black-belt who won a couple of championships when he was in grade school. However, he has long forgotten most of his skills, and is often easily overpowered by foes such as Tyson. Coding: (Coding in general, specifically in the Ren'Py engine that will be used to make the VN) Artistry: (Making cgs and conversational sprites) Language: (Skill in the areas of proofreading and grammatical correction in the English language) Music: (Creating background musics for the visual novel) Unactivated/To Be Determined Staff Spots Voice Acting: (Charged with voicing all speech in the VN - Only with approval and/or lots of volunteers) Website: (Creation and maintainment of a website for the project - Once approved, and when we have enough content to warrant it's creation) Beta-Testing: (Works so that all arcs are playable, and the game is compatible, works to address bug issues prior to release - Once a complete beta is complete. Likely to be composed of staff and volunteers) Currently, I'm assuming we aren't going to make a full voice edition unless lots of people come forward to volunteer making it. The inclusion of H-Scenes HAS BEEN NEGATED AND WONT BE DISCUSSED ON THE GENDOU THREADS! If you want to help out then please say so. (whether it be by PM or Post) All help at this point is being accepted. However, each department is to be headed by certain members within the department. (Namely, artistry). Department heads will be decided by vote or competition... or by who's available. Please note that, along with basic knowledge in the field, to join we need members who are willing to see the project to the end (as long as it may take) and are willing to communicate with the other people in their department and the rest of staff as required. Willingness to communication in my opinion, is even more important than actual skill in the field itself. Structure The game's development team will be divided into a few separate departments, responsible for creating the individual parts of the game. Each department is composed of all the people who do the department's related work. Furthermore, each department will have a head, responsible for coordination within the department, and reporting progress, and relaying what needs to be done. In short, more or less a communications specialist. The heads for certain departments will be determined by contest. The winner becomes head, while all the runners up become secondaries and assistants. Participation in the said contest isn't mandatory. If one just wishes to help out and don't want the responsibility then that is fine. However, we would still like an example of one's capabilities for the head to guess one's strength and weaknesses. (probably, the only department that'll have this is for the artistic department.) Along with Heads of Departments, there are also Supervisors, mainly, they're in charge of overseeing and acting as a mediator between departments when there is collaboration. Also act to head IM discussions, and track progress within the departments. The supervisor positions are also open to people willing to volnunteer. Quaility/Beta testing only comes once we have something to test. Other smaller sub-departments will exist within each said department. Basically, sub-departments are departments that will appear, and dissapear once said department has finished it's job. More or less, mini departments represent the smaller things that need to be done and the people who make themselves or are assigned to be responsible for it. For example, the proofreading department of the Story Board Department will only come about once the texts for the story are submitted. The department is dissolved once all proofreading is done. Here are our list of working staff: Active Department Members Link (Head of Coding) Basil (Coding) RESIGNED Terror (Coding + Head of Voice Acting) Faiz! (Coding) Darky (Head of Art) Jejechi (Art) Lockey (Head of Music) Schwarz (Music) Leonard (Music) Ishi (Music + Voice Acting Member) Unknowntraveler AKA 'LEAF XCEED' (Music) (New Member, Wahoo!) Mokona (Head of Story Board - Head Judge of Story Submission Contest + Arc Writer) Ugopetamia (Project Head Supervisor - Head of Text Editing Sub-department of Story Board + Arc Writer) KM Revolution (Arc Writer) Rai (Arc Writer) Wheezze (English Proofreading) Jonathan (Head of Website + English Proofreading Volunteer + Voice Acting Member) Sayu (Website + Voice Acting Member) Shuyin (Website + Voice Acting Member) Candidates for To Be Decided/Announced Departments Pame (Voice Acting) Appreciated Supporters - I'm pretty sure they're supporting! Dangel Ichi-san Ayame Doomlight ~Timeline~ As of right now, I have made a sort of timeline related towards. What needs to be done. In the spoiler, "Phases" are listed, annoting what will be done during the said phase. There is likely much more to each individual phase and section of development. Just so you see how we intend to have all the departments work with one another and move the VN's progress along in near unison. Each phase may take maybe a month or tow, or even a year to get by, depending on the amount of work connected to the tasks and how active the departments are. The Project Development Levels are measured into 8 Different Parts. Click Timeline for spoiler content. |

Interesting project. I wish I could be a major part of it (the actual artwork and coding for example) but unfortunately I am horrible and not skilled enough in those areas respectively. I would be interested in auditioning in Voice Work (I already tried out for Terror of Deaths project but that kind of ended up petering out). I was thinking about entering the story portion, but I'm a little insecure about my writing and story-telling abilities. ^^; I'm not exactly a confident writer. Just about the only thing I really can apply for other than that is the Website creation and whatnot. I have some skill in that, and come this September I will be fully in to a Website Administration program in college (since the website won't go up until after the project has gotten to full steam then I should already have some progress in the program by the time it's ready to go up). |

I could very well be interested in Voice Work if anyone liked it, xD. I would also be interested with anything involving the story and coming up with any ideas that may be needed. And also, while my skills may not be elite or super awesome like others, I have some experience at least in managing websites and such. If I can think of anything else, I'll be sure to let you guys know :O |

Nice! People are coming in to volunteer! But the biters' goin' with the web page. I wish someone with Ren'Py experience joins. I can't possibly do the coding all by myself. By the way, exceptional work, Ugo! |

Ah-... I haven even sweeped the post for spelling errors and there's already people volunteering! Well, we still are in desperate need of people for the other two departments... but, at least we're at a start! @ Jon: Aye des, well, that's one vote to creat a full voice edition. If we get enough people, a Voice Acting department may be created if we have enough volunteers. The introduction arc should then be ready. If we have enough people, we'll release 2 versions of the teaser, a No-Voice and a Full Voice teaser. Could encourage people to want to do voice acting. If the need for more arcs is needed, then by all means feel free submit even a basic story idea. We'll needs at least many ideas to make several unique individual character arcs. Great! Being a student in that area I highly think you'd be appropriate to head the Website Creation team. Basil-san is also a student, but in game coding, I think. Guess we might vote on it. @ Shuyin: Okay, one more vote for a Voice acting edition(?). And yeah, if the VN is released and becomes popular, we'll consider the creation of a full voice edition, to be released as a patch and/or fullgame. Like stated with jon before, ideas are accepted. Discussions related to the story, it's themes, and types of characters may occur on the forum or via IM amongst the working authors. Even if you dont intend to write an entire story arc, we'll still appreciate any input you have. Great, It's looking like website management dept is looking like it'll be well staffed. @ Basil: Thanks! Maybe we should think about doing recruiting. It could be as simple as posting up a link to the thread on your siggy, and posting around. Since not everyone looks around the other section. Also, eh, just not I also addressed a question or two to you in the Writer's Club Thread. Might be important... @ Sayu: Ah, I just saw your post over Pame's... wah! Lots of votes for voice acting!!! Okay, it would appear the website thing is very well covered. Thanks for volunteering. @ Pame: Ah, well that's great! More voice acting votes, maybe we really can think about doing a full voice edition! Along with that, this is looking far out, but maybe there might be people interested in the singing/karaoke club to try to make an opening song for the VN's opening and endings? E-eh... it might be much to ask, but the option is open to those out there willing! @ Jon + Shuyin + Pame + Sayu : I'll be sure to contact you both when the time comes. Right now, you both can also still help out with the project right now. There's lots of things about the VN we're still deciding on, I would very much appreciate if you two give your input on these important decisions when the time comes. Also, you could also help judge the artist and storyline competitions when those come up to decide the head of the art department and which story will serve as the main. |

That looks great Ugo! You're really working hard for this ^^ for the position... I'd most definitely go with either coding or artist dept I always wanted to learn coding in Ren'py but sadly I lack motivation to get really learning.. And in terms of artistry... well I'm an average artist at most... I'm quite interested in joining, but I'm not sure I'll have free time for this yet.. Dx --- Voice acting? xD wow it would be great if this one would be a full-voiced VN... Makes me more pumped up ^^ |

interesting project here ;] I also planned this once in the CG Club?! but since there are not enough people to make the actual VN I stop working on it... I wanted to join but I think I would pass on this one... I might disband myself in the middle... but if you need some help within the field of checking CG or anything related within drawings just PM me ;] |

weks!! 0_o me as the head of music??? well I propose a resume or judging ^^ before i'm being appointed to...... since (I only play melody in guitar, but have a lot of music in my lappy) so if anyone are better in writing score or making an orches or even play proper musical instrument feel free to be the head of music.. (interest about the job, but I have lack of something) so if convert to game mode (silly mode on) it's half HP condition but as long the music department doesn't compose original music (just taking an already made music) then I'm willing to be the head ^^ If not maybe a contest would do ^^ but right now I accept the position until someone better than me appear ^^ |

@ Schaz: Right. Well, if you do have any skills in coding, making music or artwork then those would be areas we really need people in at the moment. @ Karuzo: I know you'll do your best Karuzo. ^^^ @ Darky: Hah, certainly not as much work as what'll need to get done when the project starts rolling. I'm only being intricate with the planning stages so we don't get stuck later in the future. Hopefully the organization may make progress go by even a bit more efficiently. Whee~! Person interested in helping in the Coding or Artistry department. I do understand this is something that'll take quite some time to finish... But at the least there's staff. If we do have a full voice edition, one or two members from the auditions may have to do proper editing of the sound clips. (Or the music department, if possible). Actors will also have to have the capability to make clean sounding voice clips. For the ever looming question of the H-scenes possibility, actors can also vouch not to voice those if they are made. ^^' @ Shuyin: Okay! An extra author'll mean another possible arc can be written! Contact Mokona for specifics on the contest, or just look a few posts back from the latest post in the writer's club thread. @ Ichi: Okay, I suppose that you could be like, along the lines of an artistic supervisor. Considering you hail from the CG club, I guess the smallest things you can help out with is okay final quality levels of the CG work for coding, and point artists into the right direction when they get confused/unable to do something with CG software? Would that be alright to ask? @ Key: Alright. Yes, heads of the Music and Art departments will be decided most likely by contest. Hahah, I'm kinda not hoping that we don't end up recycling other already made tracks... but if that need comes up due to shortage of skilled people then I suppose we don't have much choice. ^^' (Unless what you're talking about may be original music you've already made) |

@Darky Join the department that you're most confident your skills qualify you. @Faiz Well, I'm still learning Ren'Py too, so we could collaborate, send in the game code, and complement each other's work. I mean, if I specialize in a certain area, I can do that while you do what you specialize in. But if you want to be solely a writer, then you're free to do so. @Ugo Once the story's been decided, I think we'll need a plot flowchart to decide how the different arcs follow each other. |

@ Faiz: If you can manage to make sense out of the Ren'py engine then we'll have another vital coder. Best of luck to both of you! @ Basil: Yes. I'm guessing there'll be a general beginning arc that will introduce the characters. Choices made in that arc will move the focus of the novel towards certain characters, which stand as a middle. The character and ending you end up with is determined by the available choices towards the end arc. @ Doom: Alright! You could probably help out with making another story arc and proofreading. May you also be interested take a supervisor position? Largely to oversee collaborations between departments. @ All: Wow, in a single day we got lots of volunteers. Well, I can safely say we have enough people to cover a website. Still if anyone where knows other people skilled in working art, coding, or interesting in making music, kindly tell them we're out here, in need of talent. Considering the story isn't down yet need for staff isn't that urgent as of yet, but getting out our existence now will help as well as be highly appreciated at very excessive levels. Also, now's an okay time to start determining other questions. There's lots of things that we still need to know what to do. Anyone who has specific questions can start throwing them out now for discussion, everyone's open to put out their opinion. These questions'll need to be determined before development starts. So, to those who are interested, questions I have: Questions: For the visual novel, should we create a full voiced edition, and if so, how will it be done? Will we include assorted minigames for the VN? or will it just be a linear text game? Should we have a limit to how many character arcs to be made? Will the VN have H-Content, or be a regular all ages edition? Should we have the visual novel arcs have a uniting theme? (Such as Clannad's overshadowing theme on family) If so, what? Should we have an objective date for the project to be finished? |

My opinion For the visual novel, should we create a full voiced edition, and if so, how will it be done? (for now let's not do this... doing this full voiced will be more work than what we could do... let's take it one step at a time.) Will we include assorted minigames for the VN? or will it just be a linear text game? (simple minigames will be nice, but text base will do just fine. if people really drawn to the story, they would care less about the minigame... but for a reliever it would be nice) Should we have a limit to how many character arcs to be made? (yes we should, and I propose more specific and detail story, I mean the environment(space or earth, school or work), the timeline(future, past, present), etc, etc oh and genre [male harem or female harem??]) Will the VN have H-Content, or be a regular all ages edition? (I Prefer not having it...) Should we have the visual novel arcs have a uniting theme? (Such as Clannad's overshadowing theme on family) If so, what? (if yes then it will be more easier to control the story, but more constraint to the author, either way I'm fine) Should we have an objective date for the project to be finished? (isn't it going to be christmas present???) my question: as stated above, need more detail on the story, as in time, environment, occupation, problem and all OH and I recommend reading "the world god only knows" manga some enlightenment on sim game and I need your thought (all of you) about the music... what would you envision about it |

For the visual novel, should we create a full voiced edition, and if so, how will it be done? =>agreed with lock~san.... after we knew our talent... we could fix the mute novels become colorful...^-^ Will we include assorted minigames for the VN? or will it just be a linear text game? =>I guess We do need one... but just like what basil said... include a skip action button... (help for those who only chase our story...) Should we have a limit to how many character arcs to be made? =>of course! maybe for the first time we shouldn't eager to make more than three... especially if we want this finished before Christmas... Will the VN have H-Content, or be a regular all ages edition? =>NOOOOO!! even I'm only 16 years old! Not yet!! and didn't want to!!X~X Should we have the visual novel arcs have a uniting theme? (Such as Clannad's overshadowing theme on family) If so, what? =>um... I'm netral in this one... be sure to be careful if it was used ... we don't wanted our present ruined of small things such as Copyright right? Should we have an objective date for the project to be finished? =>ummm... isn't Lockey right? @Lockey hmm... about the music... as long as it is good and fit for the situation it is okay for me...^-^ while about the story it is based on Mokona's right? so we'll wait...^-^ edited oups... sorry @Basil: 10-4... I'm going to download it first... |
