*I'm currently at class* May I suggest other than the voice acting in the journal. Shouldn't it have a scrapbook kind of feel? O_O;; let's add pictures and random memos and whatnots ;~; --- [edit] For bgs all that, I'd appreciate if there were somewhat detailed desciptions. xD I know I got to know about aya's room before, but it all slipped out of me D: for character ref with colors, I'll do Aya, Ty, and Lax's soon for characters who have no design yet (Reiko, Uncle Sam, and others that I missed), I'd have to get on then later ;~; ---

@All- WORST NEWS FROM KOTOHIME MEDIA <--- thats me... in my writer mode The progress will be halt because my main computer crashed... i managed to back them up, but I am not sure if it needs an remake... [quick update from me] new sketch! It has the same treatment from the Aya draft except there is no alternative colors here xD also features a quick sketch of everyone else to follow I kind tried to draw Reikou here. I was going for a typical bishonen for now xD I'd appreciate some input so I can continue xD For Uncle sam, it would be better if I had an idea what he would look like... xD or atleast what you expect him to look xD [Thanks for the comment btw, Terror <3 ]

Sorry for not posting lateley everyone! Lots of school stuff got tossed at me recently! ^^' @ All Hey everyone, here's random idea, should we put a chat-box up on the first page? I'm planning on rebuilding it for the it's current state of messiness! Also, anyone HTML savvy who knows how to make front pages... don't be afraid to help out too! Lets let'm know we're still kicking lads! @ Darky: For Aya Sketch Your design for aya fits her perfectly. Seeing the two alternate color versions, I think Aya with dark hair works best if we ever have a holoween event in the main plot. Except aya is generally supposed to have a bright personality, so I think it does her great! But I do like her with her overjacket.. too. Aya's design was pretty much spot on from the beggining. It makes me want to make a lot cg scenes where she shows up. *dreams* I like the Kazegan Logo as it is! Anyone else say so? For Lax + Char Compilation I've always thought lax's hair was a bit too clumped together and gave him a sort of incompleteness. But it looks great in color! His eye expession for the chibi version was what I had in mind for his "general" expession. Always seeming a little "detatched". ~ Rekou's Bishiness seems perfect for Karuzo's character! But for the most part, Karuzo knows best for portraying his character. Stopping now. ~ I was going to post up my idea sketch for the comp club president. But I guess I'll dip out of it for now since you already got an idea up! Here's my notes on it: The president should have a bit of a more sinister/scheming look. He's the kind of guy who holds a sort of competitive grudge against lax and reikou. He constantly plots his next move to taking out the computer security team. He's commanding, the general antagonist for Lax and Reikou in the VN. And despite the fact he always loses, he's the kind of person who hungers for that one victory no matter how many times it takes. Hope that helps - Still need to get to Moko-chan for the minor details >.< ~ Kit and Cathy seem to be going along just fine! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Come on everyone! Nothing spurs on improvement like constructive opinion! (not to scare you Darky :P) I'll upload the batch of images (or maybe just a couple if there gets to be a bit much) with the next major update.   |

@ All: Basil-san wanted me to inform everyone he's had to resign from the production team for his own reasons. It looks like life's gotten a bit busy for him. Still, it's ever onwards for those of us still aboard. Storyboard has also taken a small halt. It seems like it's difficult for Mokona-chin to give any replies at the moment, so I guess writing is somewhat on hold. Nonetheless, break for me is coming up soon, so unless someone in my household decides to take a surprise trip, I intend to got for finishing Lax's ending, and get the rest of the minor characters' profiles written out. And get to that front page editing too! @ Darky: Nice! Looking forward to more color sketches. I don't want to make any real note on Kit's color scheme till a proper sketch sheet. (Wants to put her side to side with Cathy) For promotions... maybe go for making a sig possibly? @ Jejechi: Doesn't look like much to do at the moment. Maybe want to think about doing sketches for random extras we might need in the future? You might also want to think of making designs for settings such as classrooms and hallways, or find some good source pictures. Also @ Darky: Though, anyone thinking about the possibility of using photo images for BG's in case we cant find a BG artist? @ KM: PM me if you're stuck on anything and want help, I'll do my best to get you going forward. In fact, if you want to send me your storyboard I'll be more than happy to evaluate it and give advice. |

Well I'll be quick about this... here's some sort of task table that I think would be helpful to be followed. So first the main character sprites are a priority right now. or atleast drafts of them. It would be helpful for the coders if we already have placeholders for the characters so it can be tested without the hassle of being dragged down by the cging process Next would be something of matter if I'm the one making the linework, we need someone who can either be the colorist or atleast a base-colorist. A base-colorish is simple someone who adds the base colors. o_o For the bgs, I want to try to do these. If we find photos or such, maybe we can trace/base/reference them so it would have a more similar feel to the characters? Now for promo stuff, maybe we could have everyone make concepts for these? nothing fancy, just drafts of possible promo content, and website content. Similar to what Jejechi already did with that chibi-Aya signature xD Then what about some guys do some storyboarding? But for this to possible I think we need to have the already written story to be readable by now D: Storyboarding is for planning out emotions that the characters would need and plotting out the CG scenes. Then there are still those characters who don't have designs right... and the characters who lack finalized designs... well We should get on that C: I'm kinda not expecting that I planned way to much in my vacation. (which is 5 weeks starting today) so... I hope I can be a great help despite me being on and off here :( tl;dr:

Sorry for the lag as of late everyone. Life's gotten in the way a good amount, but I have a good amount of the ideas ingrained in my head. Here's some profiles that have been long past due... Characters: Uncle Sam "Train, train, and train, you cant get an 'A' in physics if you dont know the trajectory of your grenade!" Age: 47 Occupation: Uncle A good and loving uncle, as well as Aya's legal guardian. He's lived with aya as far back as she could remember (Even before the accident). He's a strongly patriotic man whose had more than his fair share of bullets shot at him in defense of his country. Now retired, he still seems to occasionally have some difficulty readjusting to life outside the base. Though many people debated whether his orphaned nice would be able to grow to be a fine normal girl; Aya nonetheless grew to be a fine normal girl. Unfortunately, he's already starting to hint at being a bit senile. While, things like "Morning Roll Call" and being able to know the military alphabet (Eg. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie... etc.) he now occasional strikes out at imaginary communists in the middle of the night. Aya, even as memory-less as she is, does not seem too worried about this. Miss Alice Hane Age 29: Occupation: Principal West High School's principal. A nice lady known for the prized pearl necklace she wears around her neck. Principal Alice hates conflict of any sort. The fact that the library and computer club have turned into opposing factions that have skirmishes in the school hallways on almost a weekly basis is of great concern to her. She also is albeit soft spoken. Though her loyal staff helps to put her orders to action (and calm down any wrongdoers) of which she finds as a great disgrace to always have to need assistance from the staff. Principal Alice personally took steps to help Aya after her memory loss; including changing her friend's class schedules so that they could be with her in most of her classes. Mr. Carl Marks Age 29: Occupation: History Teacher, Library Worker One of the history teachers for Aya's particular grade. He is well known for his prominent hairstyle and wear of sunglasses. He dosent talk much either, really, but Mr. Carl puts lots of thought into every sentence (most of the time). He seems a little discontent as a teacher. Probably due to low teacher salaries? Mr. Marks also went to school with Principal Alice. However, despite this, he isn't quite as friendly with the principal as one would assume. The only other thing kids see him do aside from teaching is working at the library as a sort of guard (for extra pay). Because of this, he is also somewhat involved in the conflict against the computer hacking club. All of Aya's friends where able to be conveniently placed in the same period during history (Which is Mr. Marks' Class). That, latched onto the library job, makes him conveniently around all the time. Uncle Sam also seems to not like this guy for some reason. Tristan Clark "We'll definitely get Lax this time, I'm sure of it!" Age: 17 Occupation: Computer Hacking Club President The respectable president of the computer hacking club. He's knowledgeable with computers, and hates losing as much as... the thing he hates the most. Thus we have the current situation where his is locked in conflict with Lax and associates. Tristan pursues Lax with an indomitable fury that shall not be quenched until his revenge is realized! Originally the head of the computer security club, Tristan hooked his lavish 1500$ + Tax laptop into the library server one day. He was, with another student; hacking into the library's system to remove a massive 16$ late charge on some of his checkouts from the library. Lax was also on the job that day, and in the end, Tristan's beloved 1500$ + Tax laptop was fried. So whe whent back into his club room, and slammed his fist on the table. Catching everyone's attention instantly. With a loud voice fill of passionate fury and anger, he said: "There's someone I need to settle a score with. Who is with me!?" The only thing more extravagant than his obsession to beat lax is that fact that he still has club members. Allen Garpo Age: 16 Occupation: Computer Hacking Club Member For girls, he's a bit easier to look at then the club's president. He originally joined the club when it was still about computer matinence. Allen somewhere along the line, became good friends with the club president, and has loyally accompanied him on his computer related quests. Allen comes from a relatively wealthy family. As such, he always seems to have some good technology on hand. Which of course, always attracts the unwanted attention of local club terror Kit, who finds hand held electronics as nothing less than interesting objects for juggling. He would be completely alright with Ashley if she didn't come bundled with her annoyance of a sister. He's almost on par with the president when it comes to computer skills. Allen was also a black-belt who won a couple of championships when he was in grade school. However, he has long forgotten most of his skills, and is often easily overpowered by foes such as Tyson. @ KM: Alright. Please give me a profile for that secondary character when done. @ Schaz: I wish we could say. I would like to say we could get enough writing to start pumping out to coders by June, but that is a dependable. I want to have all the decision points confirmed, so we dont have to do a ton of rewriting down the road. You have a good amount of time to work at the moment. @ Darky: Well, here's some other characters. I have some rough sketches for the 3 characters (Heads only). I'll toss them out if you want to have something to work off of. I'll do whatever I can to help. EDIT: Okay, did some work on the first post. Added in a shoutbox if that helps. :P New chars added and all have been corrected for spelling and have their own quotes. Done for now! @ Darky: For promotional items... well, I've always been looking forward to replace Rin on the banner I have with Aya or the like. I might try my hand at making something too. I'll start chewing out on Mokona to get working too. |
