Yeah, I read a story on Kotaku last week regarding that. Sounds pretty cool. I will probably get it, because Gold and Silver were awesome. I just hope they give it the Platinum treatment and add a lot of features, not just remake the sprites and call it a new game. I still have Gold, so I'm going to wait and see if these remakes will be worth the money again, especially when coming off of Platinum.    |

Just by looking at the early pics of the game... *sigh* already the integrity of the original games has been compromised. Why pull a Yellow Version by making your starters follow you? Secondly why the hell does Prof. Elm have a patio at his lab? Look at the side of the lab itself, and you'll see a staircase leading to a patio. Lastly the graphics: the main character sprite looks like crap! I almost regret wishing for that remake because the sprite looks... blurred? On one angle he looks more like a bug catcher than the Gold from the original G/S/C games. Well from what I gathered the games are set to come out late fall(november), and I anticipate the North American release to happen late spring/early summer 2010(after Canada wins most of the gold metals especially in Hockey) Yeah overall: there was no way in Hell that Nintendo was going to ignore the request/demand/(whatever you call it) from the fans of the originals. That's like 2 or 3 million dollars they'd be turning down. Anyways enough from me for one day. |

@Mr. M: IMO, the only bad part about the graphics so far is Chikorita. Where are it's EYES? Other than that, I have nothing to complain about it... yet. |

Spring/Summer 2010 for the Gold/Silver remake for U.S? T___T From what I saw... it is for the DS right? As long at looks like Gold/Silver, I'm happy. 16 Bagdes again. *drools* Hope theres some added stuff. I'm gonna assume there might be some U.S ToysRUs event before release. HOPES!! >.<   |

@Wind-spear - I think it has less to do with Nintendo answering the cries of the fans and more about stalling for time while they come up with another 100 Pokemon for the next generation. Oh, and by the way, I'm looking for someone with a Pidgey. I've had no luck finding one so I'm looking for a trade. I have a Phione to put up for Pidgey if anyone can get me one. |

Jon if you still need a Pidgey then I can help you indulge in your Pidgey needs. I'm coming to the realization that pokemon movie events with pokemon that have attacks typically unnatural and "hacked". Take ALAMOS Darkrai for example: it has Roar of Time and Spacial Rift, or the new upcoming Arceus coming out in Japan this July that will have Roar of Time, Spacial Rift, Shadow Force, and Judgement. Another thing these special event pokemon will do is unlock certain parts of the game. I'm looking forward to the Pichu coming out next month so I will be ready for that in-game event with that "notched-ear" Pichu. Oh yes the Arecues coming out in January will apparently unlock a minor in-game event where a hiker talks about Arcues and the pokemon version of Creationism. Well... I think I'll head out for now, and begin my search for an XD Lugia. EDIT: I got my Lugia, and I'm pleased that it isn't a bad nature entirely. Man I've never taken the time to appreciate the Celebi I've collected this past month... I feel kinda sorry for the people looking for one. |

@Windspear- I'll take you up on that. Just let me know when you'd be able to trade. I would have checked the GTS but I haven't seen Pidgey yet, so I need someone to trade with (besides, if anyone on the GTS is trading a Pidgey, they are probably looking for a Level 100 Darkrai for the damn thing. Stupid unreasonable trade requests). Do you want anything for it? I still have the Phione available if you don't already have it. |

Pokemon Platinum released in the UK. I was thinking about buying it today, but my mum thinks it might be too early to get it. However, next week's half term & she's happy that I'll buy it then. In Pokemon Pearl, I started with Chimchar and I have Turtwig & Piplup from trading when I went to Game and get a Shaymin. I have 2. Some people have lots. There was someone who I traded with has 10 Shaymins. He told me, he was doing 'Shaymin chaining'. Oh, that reminds me. For those who have a Shamyin on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, trade Shaymin from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl to Pokemon Platinum. In Flowera Town, talk to a girl in that town. She notices you have a Shaymin. Next, she will give you a Glacidea flower. Put that flower on your Shaymin (make sure you need to put it on during the daytime only).  |

Well my hacking days are over... for now. My action replay isn't being recognized by my DS anymore, and I have to replace it with a new one which won't happen until sometime around July providing I want to bother throwing away 30 bucks which can be used to buy 3 meals from McDonald's. Jon: I'll take the Phione or whatever you want to throw away in exchange for a Pidgey. Just PM me a date and time to conduct our trade. If I recall correctly you live in Canada so that makes life easy for me since I live in the same country. animestar: yeah the event Shaymin we get in d/p, but have to transfer to Platinum. Yeah also there's the Regigigas that activates the Sinnoh regi trio when you find their special hideouts. I'm making an Uber team which consists of Lugia, Mewtwo, Darkrai, and Rayquaza so far. I might add Kyogre or Groudon depending how I feel about either one. So yeah... no more hacking for me *tear*, but I supposed that's for the better of mankind right? |

@wind-spear - It's for the betterment of yourself. Also, you pick a time and date and give me a PM. Until I start my college courses in about 2 months, I'll be home for pretty much the entire day unless at work, so it's a bit easier to set up a time if you contact me. If you're on today, I'll be home from work around 11pm Newfoundland time, so depending on where you are in Canada that could be from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. |

Ok... I signed up for the tournament, and I am VERY suprised Garchomp isn't banned. Well I kinda like that, and I look forward to being the one that puts him on that ban list alongside uber legendaries and Wobbafett. Back in my PBR days(last weekend) I ripped every single trainer in that game apart using my uber duo Garchomp/Tyranitar. Not even the final boss was no match for Garchomp and Tyranitar. Anyways I have a surfing Pikachu now(yay!), and I have yet to get me my Electivire/Magmotar. I don't own a Wii or PBR; I just rented a copy from a movie rental(not Blockbuster) place, and played it on my cousin's Wii. It took me like... a little under 18 hours to beat the game and get me my Surfing Pikachu. Perhaps next tournament I'll be MC and offer that as a prize. Oh I made a discovery about Manaphy/Phione: they can also be fathers of other water pokemon. So give Manaphy Light Screen, Mirror Coat, and maybe Hypnosis(if possible). Then give those 3 moves to Feebas and have wonderful Milotics that can hurt people. Anyways I'm done ranting about nothing now. |

@wind- Garchomp will most likely end up banned, since most people have a tendency to want it banned. |
