Here's the stuff my teacher gave us: Toying with Motion (Adapted from NSTA) We have been studying motion and Newton’s laws for a long time. Now it’s time for you to apply those laws in a fun and creative way. --> Newton's three laws are...(taken from wikipedia) 1. A physical body will remain at rest, or continue to move at a constant velocity, unless an unbalanced net force acts upon it. 2. The net force on a body is equal to its mass multiplied by its acceleration. 3. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Your Task: Design a toy that demonstrates Newton’s three laws of motion. Write a typed one paragraph summary including an explanation of how the toy was created, detailed qualitative observations, and how all three of Newton’s laws are applied to the toy’s motion. Present your toy at the “Invention Convention†Guidelines You must make your own toy. The invention created must have at least one moving part. No prefabricated toys are accepted. The toy must be made of recycled materials; such as plastic 2 L soda bottles, cardboard rolls (for example, toilet paper, paper towels, or wrapping paper), rubber bands, cardboard or plastic food containers, newspapers and magazines. Only safe materials can be used, and anything with sharp edges or breakable materials (for example, hanger wire, glass and cut metal cans) should be avoided. No household chemicals or empty containers that have warning labels indicating that toxic, poisonous, or corrosive chemicals were once stored inside (for example, bleach or household cleaner) can be used. @ Suzaku: XD Do you remember to sew up the front? XD My friends and I wear boxers as running shorts because they cost less [we're not cheap! >_>; just... don't want to pay money <_<;] Sewing it up is very annoying >_O Also, it's hard to find ones with nice patterns...why did they make the playboy bunny so cute?
