I don't get why they added an "A" to "SOS"; sounds dumb. I think I saw somewhere that the 'A' stands for 'alternate'. Hmm, guess it's a sort of respect to the anime and to the fans in Japan not to use the actual SOS-Dan name for their club. Maybe they should have gone pseudo-official and used SOS-Dan, (*country name* branch) instead? XD

It sounds weird when I saw a fan on a video on TV say "...an ASOS-Brigade." I think "SOS-Dan" is perfect, so "SOS-Brigade" would've better. Anyone see the dubbed first season yet? I'm curious to how it turned out. I was going to buy the entire season on DVD one day, but they were missing volume 2 so I skipped it. D:

I thought the in ASOS stood for the North American SOS brigade or just America SOS.

Hmm, I never thought about that until now, INTERESTING! Maybe it was just the fans who pronounced it weird which made me start hating it. If you actually say the "A-S-O-S-Brigade", it sounds okay... now... =.=` (XP) Although, America is not the only country which aired Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu...

NOOO!!!!!!!!! God Knows... Has been tainted! lol, well I'm finally back again, sorry for not posting for almost a month now, I've just been busy with stuffs like Halloween, not to mention me, my Father and my Mother's Birthday (yes we were all born on November XD) It was my Birthday last night, my Birthday gift from my Mother was a UMPC, and yes I'm typing this with the said UMPC, I'm still very tired so I'll post some more details about the party later or something, though most of it is Classified Information. ._. I don't think the English version is that bad. And hey, you've gotta give them credit for at least trying. And after all, there are maybe some people in North America (or wherever English versions of SHnY are being distributed) who perhaps have reading disabilities or are too young to read and can't read subtitles but still want to understand the beauty of the lyrics or show, ect. ^-^ That be the goodness of dubs~ |
