I can't believe this is happening.

If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

The creator having little to no idea that this movie is being made or what it will involve, further proving my point that no-one doing this movie has any idea what the source material is. I would have felt a little bit more hopeful if they had actually talked to the creator of the series to get his input, but I suppose that's asking for too much from Hollywood.

( shake head ) thanks a lot ( AGAIN ) Hollywood- you never fail to shatter ones dreams- this is one thing i will NOT be watching...

Harsh, but come on- anime stays anime- fair enough about Death Note , but when you've got super-saiyens ( sorry if i've spelt it wrong!! ) you DO NOT make it Live action. Never.

the film was released last week in Singapore almost at the same time in Japan (3 / 12), heavily criticized by almost everyone here

I want to watch it but my friends who have watched it said it's so corny to the point of horrible so yeah, why waste the money?

And so the anime community at Gendou.com raise their collective hands and say "Called it.".

Once again Jade has not steered me wrong and so in about a month or two me and Cynic will have another movie to tear into little horrible pieces.

Hollywood knows jack about anime and video games, plain and simple. They should know by now that Otaku and gamers (and fans of anything in general) are incredibly hard groups to please and the rest of the people that do not fall into those groups are not interested in the premise to begin with.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jade: Of course we all know that gullible movie goers will flock to see this film because of the pretty commercials and the studio will earn more than enough money to make the sequel they probably already have a script for. How sad.

Cynic: And as this travesty unfolds over the course of the next few months, anime lovers across the globe will die a little inside. Hopefully we can use the DBZ fans that pay money to see this movie as a sacrifice to god, in the hopes that he might strike down the studio responsible.

Oh H, but corny/cheesy films are the mad notes!

I'm gonna see it on the premise that it'll be really bad and I'll have a laugh.

I did think that James Marsters looks pretty swish as Piccolo though.

Bless Akira Toriyama though, he's probably gauging his eyes out with a wooden spork.

Jesus, I read like the first sentence of that, and was like, "well, nothing I haven't heard".
Seriously, anyone who thinks this movie is good to any degree, needs to die.

No fan of DB of any caliber will ever, ever accept this, even on drugs or being drunk.
They should all feel ashamed of themselves, for not ruining one of the most classic anime series of all time,
but they should be ashamed of themselves because it was an EPIC FAILURE before the trailer even released.
Did they seriously think at any point in time, this idea would be "successful"!?
Oh, but this won't be the last of it. There's going to be plenty more coming from friggin' Hollywood...

Oh, and to add another note, Dragonball Evolutions is going to release a game (BITERS):

This is only a demo.

I saw it. It flat out sucks. It's 5 steps above an Uwe Boll movie, and 2 steps above Catwoman. But I still see the guy who plays Yamcha and the guy who plays Nash in Legend of Chun Li duke it out for worst supporting actor.

Only a few days before it's out.

Scary days, scary.

EEEEK! I finally saw the advert !!! I mean a few things: If the characters are still meant to be who they are, then why do they seem so clueless? I think it would be better if they "knew who they were" besides, if they did this I don't think it'll be so bad to just introduce new chracters for this modern setting instead of throwing all our fave chars. into this mess all clueless and that. Sorry for babbling and getting all hyper =='

I is sorry! Just can't get over the shock of finally seeing it for real- had a short discussion in science lol- a couple of views and a good shouting from the teach- too right! We were in the middle of a mock test [haiz] T_T

Really makes me wonder if Chow could have done a better job if he was the main leading guy of this production.

After watching...

No wait...

I didn't even bother watching it and just scrolled back and forth. When I saw Justin Chatwin performing his "Goku" character. I completely lost interest. And having the character say "Cool" (twice? multiple times?) made my head implode.

And the title was so wrong. The movie never made any new or good progress to even make the series "Evolve". It was quite the opposite.

I think I just leveled down just from watching it.

i saw it, my friend handed the movie toward my way &... it's enjoyable but... it might disappoint the DBZ fan audience or correction it WILL disappoint the DBZ fan audience, but i thought it wasn't bad @ all.
