ah that's a shame devils-angel san i would say ef got one of the best romance story, it's very deep and sometimes it's hard to interpret some scenes which make the quality of the story become really awesome if im not mistaken Makoto Shinkai also get involved in the production of the anime, but correct me if im wrong

Yeah I should dL the rest of the episodes again. It's not like I hated the series or anything like that, it just.. "slipped" away from me? Besides, I'm always talking elsewhere to be watching any anime now, haha. >.<` ------- |

Yeah, at first it was a little confusing and too...dialogue packed for me. After awhile I picked it up again, and now I love it a lot. <3 Like Raizoken said, it's very very deep in meaning, and you might have to rewatch some episodes to understand some stuff. But I believe that ef is one of the greatest romance series ever created. And yeah, it's very Makoto Shinkai-ish. XD I'm rewatching all his movies again because the first time I watched them, I didn't get them. If he was involved in this series, then that would explain some of the confusion in the series. But you guys should finish it, DA and Key. :D It surely won't disappoint! Lol, series slip away from me too...xD It happens a lot. |

I really liked the style of animation the animators used. It sort of reminded me at times the way Revolutionary Girl Utena was animated. A series that was heavy on storytelling as the selling point instead of relying on visuals which to me were a bonus. As for Mr.Makoto Shinkai-san...he isn't in the credits at all, although you can see that he has some influences on the animation style. Especially the backgound of scenes, the almost realistic sky is very Shinkai. He mainly only does the intro movies for every game made by minori...from Wind a breath of heart, to Haru ashioto to now the ef series. The new game which focuses mainly on Chichiro's story will be out next month. The new opening song for the new game is called 'emotional flutter/ever forever' (cheeky isn't it?) sung by i think Hitomi Harada. That will be out on April 11th in two versions. A regular & special...the special will also feature a new version of Yuukyuu no Tsubasa. I preordered my copy so i'll be uploading it to my imeem profile when i get it. Can't wait for the new game...the anime series has definitely made an impression so i'm excited what the new game will hold. ****************************************************** Just uploaded this too photobucket...be prepared to witness Makoto Shinkai-san at his very best. This is equal or maybe even better visually than the intro to the first game. Features the song 'Emotional Flutter' by Hitomi Harada (you can hear it at my imeem playlist on my profile). You can also see this at my profile which i hava added to the ero-game movie list. |

i only liked the story of that purple haired girl with half an eye. the sisters story was sooo boring how she lost her boyfriend to be. And then in one episode they had x.x.x and i was like aww no fanservice.. H game animes are the best sometimes i have to say; except school days too much fan service ruins the anime and also the psychotic killing thing was bad too. |

the psychotic killing is the moral of the story lol The girl with the eyepatch? That's Chihiro. I'm still curious about Yuko. You know, the girl with the russian hat? Who is she? A ghost?

@ BeRaNtAcAn-san We'll probably know who Yuko is in the next installment of the game...however judging by the new trailer for the game i figure she's some sort of angel. The first game & anime didn't really dive into who she is which made me really interested in what the new game is about. |

I didn't really understand who Yuko really was either...but I know she's significant. She's probably one of the most important characters in ef. Also, since she knows that other dude~ lol, when they met at the end of the last episode? Forgot his name. :P The dude who lives in the church I think. So anyway, Izumo, do you know? Or is this going to be explained in the next game release? |

@ Suzaku-san The first game never really dived into the origins of Yuko. Just like the anime she shows up out of nowhere now and then. There are hints that she is connected with Yu cause they meet in the church where Yu is attached to in some way. They apparently are having a re-union of some sort talking about the past, Yuko is also talking about events that happened in the beginning of the first game. So my assumption there meeting took place after the first game. Near the end of the game Yuko & Yu remember the other characters & how much they miss them. The conversation concludes setting the stage for the next game. She shows up throughout the first game (like the anime) to give advice to the other characters in the story. The new game will probably tie everything together so that is when we'll find out who Yuko really is. I still believe she is some sort of guardian spirit or an angel. Yu i don't know about...he's a greater mystery than Yuko. If my assumptions are right we may see another anime series in the near future revealing more information about them. Until i get to play the next game i'm just as curious about them as everyone is. |

The story plot is not bad. I especially like the ending. Chihiro is finally broken by those so-called "chains" and she get to be with Renji. Hurray!! |

I really like the visual effects that the studio SHAFT creates. Theyre so artistic and original. I think it was very successful for them to make an anime of a romance story. My favourite couple is Renji and Chihiro. I think theyve overcomed the biggest problems, so i was really touched. I couldnt help salt water to burst out from my eyes when i was watching the last two episodes. |

i finally saw this anime... and its quite good! though i bit short, it was never dragging or boring i liked miyako's story, though i find the conflict to be a bit shallow (miyako's family problems ,kei's guilt and hiro's half hearted state)but it was never dull and it didnt seem unrealistic... and i read wiki and the photography guy and the violin neighbor guy were also protagonists but barely made a presence in the anime..(expect for the photo guy...but still his attraction for kei wasnt flesh out) and the ending..hahaha i couldn't ask for anything more!hahaha TRUE LOVE WINS!hahaha (or something like that!hahaha) and I'm also interested in yuko's story...what's her connection with the others (except for being the love interest of the church guy who happens to be chihiro's caretaker and the violin guy's friend. who also gave advice to Hiro..) and the rooftop key? was it a key item? (hiro had one..saying his sister gave it to him or something and Renji got one from the church guy..) @izumo since you seem to know a lot about this game/anime, can ya tell me the title of the music played on the teaser video..the one where yuko was playing the piano and the church guy playing the violin? |

@ Z-san Well that music is just a remixed version of Yuukyo no Tsubasa...well at least instrumentally wise. It isn't found in any OST or cd single. It is especially created for the anime series...though you can hear abit of it in the 2007 version of the song sung by Yuko's seiyuu. The game only has piano solo versions of that song but they are very short...a few minutes long. BTW: The Latter Tale is DEEP! I don't think i'm half way through but there has been quite a few revelations. I won't spoil things until i complete it but darn it's superb! There are some similarites to the anime especially Chichiro's storyling. I'll keep everyone updated! |

@ Z-san I remember when minori first had news of ef being an anime series the anime homepage had that music playing. I would visit it often just to hear that version of the song. The closest version is probably 'Sorrowful Feather C2Rmix' from the first anime OST track 20. Or there is the orignal version off vocal version. The remix version unfortunately has yet to have one. You can always listen to this i found on Youtube...pretty good stuff ********************************************** Anyways the reason i'm posting is that i found out that there will indeed be another season of ef. Entitled 'ef ~a tale of melodies' is in the works. No news on when it will air but i figure sometime later this year or my best guess in 2009. It would probably dive into more about Yuko & Yu & there relationship. Also who exactly Yuko is cause she feels sort of angelic in more ways than one. The new game mainly focuses on Chichiro's route which we saw in the anime as well as Mizuki (girl with pigtails). The full name of ef ~a fairy tale of two~ is actually a description of Yu & Yuko. They are the absolutely main characters in the game & it is there meeting in the church that the other stories are being revealed. So in the end (which i haven't gotten to yet) we'll finally know who they are. This new anime series will probably include some aspects of the new game (Mizuki's route) & for the most part be heavy on Yu & Yuko. I'll keep everyone updated on this as soon as more info or clips are made public. ***EDIT**** I see that Gundamgeneral-san is speechless about the news of a new season!!! I understand your excitement! :) |

Cool, I just read about the sequel.^^ After watching the first season and enjoying it, I'm really looking forward to this. ^____^ Thanks Izumo for the info about it. Yuko, huh? It'll be nice to find out more about her in the next season as she just kind of popped up here and there in the last one as I recall. |
