Congratulations Ryoko and Kero~ Oooh group 4 is out... Here's some judge-wannabe comments haha: @FA: Your performance was brilliant - perfect pitch and nice audio quality. The minor technical problem near the end of the song (was that the mic?) was barely noticeable because you sang great. @DN: A Green day song. It turned out good man! Just keep practicing (I know you're really doing your best so keep it up!) ^^ @Shay-shay: Hmmm you're awesome! You have a smooth, flowing voice. A really itsy-bitsy comment (almost negligible): you can improve your note transitions to a more, well, 'technical' one maybe? And I would love to hear you sing with a louder backing track next time. ^__^ @Lily: Your voice is strong; good for 'powerful' songs like this one. Some keys were off but overall it was a good performance. Good Luck to group 4~  |

*o* I'M IN THE SEMIS! OTL what song to sing...? @FA: Because I'm A Girl right? :D I love that song! You sang it very well. The talking part detracted from the performance a little, but that might just be me @_@ The high note was great♥ @DN: You seem to have some problems with hitting the right notes..? And the echo - don't know if it was intentional, but I didn't like it ^^; Practise! :) @Shay-shay: Your voice is cute :3 You weren't using a karaoke track ka? Might want to try blending a bit more with the music, it just sounded like you were singing over the original song. Which you were right.. :P But you don't want it to SOUND like you are~ Overall, yr vocals were fine, but I have problems with the recording. x) @Lily: Hmm, reminds me of Koda Kumi a little~ Your pitching needs work (so does mine eheh) I think you have a good voice, just pitching problems like I said. Here is another judge-wannabe comment (stealing Erkun's line ^__^): FA: Pro: Very good voice and tonal control. In terms of technique, you got it nailed. You also have very good emotion expression. Con: You seem to have some technical difficulty with mic. The reverb is inconsistent throughout the song. I can hear your doctoring of the track at 1:09.2s. (yes, I am a very precise person ^_^) DN: Well, I have to say this (no offense intended) but you have chosen a very boring song. You basically repeat the same phrase over and over. I wish you would show off more. You have some trouble reaching the high notes. Also the timing is slightly off at some places. I think you have great emotion. I can hear it from the song. You also have good vocal power. You vocal quality is very nice. Shay-Shay: Very good voice quality and good tonal control. You do sound like you are holding back. I can hear some uncertainty on some notes. You need more volume control on your voice. Sometime you sing loud and sometime you sing soft. Maybe it is the mic. Again, you projected great emotion. Very nice. Oh, yeah, the BGM need to be louder. It sounded like you didn't use a karaoke version to sing along. That might be why you didn't want the BGM to be too loud. Lily: Very good volume, like Erkun said. I can hear a lot of power. But you do need to have more tonal control. Some notes are off key. You do have great emotion. I love your singing in general. You voice quality is very good. I would say Shay-shay and Lily are neck to neck in this round. Good luck to you all. ^_^  |

lols so many judge-wannabes here, I dun wanna comment anymore,(like I always do *cough Cough* XD) great job to group 4! Wo You said DN chose a boring song. It was repeating. I think, also that the song leaves little room for emotion, I can sense your emotion, but the song kinda cages what you can really do. FA only had... wait I didn't know you could use reverb... Great Job FA! but if only I knew... Shay and Lily, I don't think I need to repeat any comments there, WO You is too precise XD lol I ended up actually typing stuff. If the peeps before me were just Judge Wannabes, then I'm probably a Judge Grub... If you chose to listen (even though I haven't said much) feel free to do so, I may not know what I am saying though... wow. Uhm Good Luck to all of Group 4! |

Will listen and comments to the songs later when I'm home... BTW, Pame... when is the exact date for the semis and when do we have to send in our songs by? Still having trouble getting my song out... =( and I'll be away for like... 5 days... soon.... Also... any news / possibility of getting the Karaoke ver of Kataritsu Koto? FA: Nice voice, the music was mixed wonderfully. There was enough emotions put into the song (not sure if it's too much but I can measure it's pretty much a good amount). I can't spot the reverb error that the others were talking about. Great selection of song. DN: Curious, why did you choose that song? Overall, nice. But I can hear a distinct 'echo' at the background. I like the emotions you put into that song. *claps* Shay Shay: I like the song you picked, the music was overall good but the voice is louder than the music. Just thought there should be a little equal balance between the volume. Good job! Lily: I'm impressed you chose this song. Nice work. I like the balance between the volume of both the music and the vocal. Not sure if the microphone was too close, because there were some parts the music sounded a bit distorted (maybe it's my stupid earphones...) Overall, nice work.

@Ichikon: Kero's entry was Last Kiss, by Bonnie Pink yay Group 4's out..*starts listening* EDIT: @FA: you should up the volume of your voice& careful with the narration, the last line didn't come out too clear....but..very beautiful^^both your voice & the song :P @DN: the echoed effect's not bad ~but i felt it put off the rhythm a little..i like the song better from the 2nd verse onwards~and, check the pitch, some notes were off-tune. You hav a strong vocal though @Shay-shay: you hav a nice voice, so let it out more:P loose yourself in the music^^ and up the b/g volume, your voice is drowning it out~nice performance @Lily: Note your intonation since some notes went slightly offkey ~ but the singin, the rhythm, the b/g volume.. all's great^^  |

Here we go ... another judges wanna-be... @FA:: Love ur starting...Korean?! wuuuu~~~ Very sweet voice (as expected). You might wanna up the volume of ur singing abit... and it sounded abit far from the mic... @DN:: Hmm... did u sing twice or is that an echo? If u were trying to do an echo by using the sing twice method... try just copying the 1st recording to get a perfect match (coz we might not sing at the exact timing as we did previously). For echos, u might wanna keep it short instead of having a whole long line of echo. Noticed that there are some timing issues too... and like W/o you said... it'll be better if u choose a song that does not have so much repetition... @Shay shay:: Kawaiiiii voice!! noticed that u were using the original with vocal as ur BMG... it'll be good if u had the karaoke ver... then u can up the BMG without making th original vocal obvious... and.. it'll be nice if u can put more feel into the song~ @Lily:: The starting was abit late... (I know is hard... coz I sung this song b4 too... got so nervous after I pressed the recording button) You've got a nice voice but don't force it ... sing with the flow... and try not to purposely "highlight" certain words... You also need practise for ur high notes too (coz u r are middle-low range singer like me... so it'll take lotsa practise to hit those)... Noticed that u were unsure at some parts too!! Gambatte!!! I see ur potential gal!! Sorry guys... I'm kinda in a rush now so I only listened to about a min each of ur songs(that explains the short commentary)~ |
