We may have different opinions bout life. For some people who had experienced/is experiencing hardships, life could be a living hell. For those who have live their life comfortably, they may say living is fun. Personally, life is like a book. If you skip some episodes, you will be lost same as walking away from your problems. If you enjoy reading it, though some words are hard to understand, you will feel fulfilled at the end. Life is something you must not take for granted. You don't live just for the sake of living. You live, you try to survive for the people you love and.... anime [???] |

Absolutely not. Nah, actually, I think the meaning to life is simply to exist. Nothing too complex, nothing too hard. I don't have much in the way of "fun" while living, personally, and I find it to simply be an inconvenience before my eternal repose, but I don't think there is any realy complex meaning behind life. You get sucked into it, and, shortly afterward, get kicked back out. Then the real fun starts.

I think the meaning of life is to understand it. I mean if life meant nothing why would people try things. If life didn't mean anything then why would we have computers, or TV, or even electricity. If life meant nothing there would be no ambition. The first step toward trying is either the first step to failure or the first step to victory. IT depends on the person.

Life huh...I think life is a chance. Chance to try things out,got experience, learn something , give contribution and even make change. After that passing what we got to the next generation. So that's why I think people must live their life to the fullest and make a proof of their existence. Problems in life are something that indispensable, by overcome it we get experience.Just like someone says " Life is a lesson you learn it when you through it " |

Life is the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next for the purpose of survival.

I dont give the poor in Africa money cuz they only need to stop reproducing them selves to stop themselves from starving. So why would i have a kid who's gonna die anyway and wonder all the question mankind has been wondering since the dawn of time. I'm not really thinking of death yet since i'm just 21 but i think it's just useless to live. We only have unanswered question. With more answers come more questions. I'd like to see the edge of the universe but i cant do that, i'd like to know if there are other inteligent life form in the universe but i cant know that either. All i know when i look at the sky is that we are small, really really small, like a guy on an atom in a body who's about the same size a guy would be on earth wondering if there's an end to this infinity. |

want the meaning of life? read The Purpose Driven Life. good book. life...well i think life does mean something. you get to go through different experiences, both joyful anf painful. you make mistakes and you learn from them. but don't go all crazy and do dangerous things thinking that you only live once. make good choices and live one day at a time, cuz you never know when you're not gonna be here anymore... might regret it. and i know people are gonna say "if you die, then how can you regret it?" i believe in heaven and hell, so be wise in your decisions. you don't want to end up suffering for all eternity, and i don't want that. |

Okay. Let me join the conversation here. I think (and believe) that the mean of life is to gain the heaven in live after death. But in order to gain that, we must do a lot of good things (pray included). I can tell the entire human history by few words : "Born...Struggle...Death" It's so simple isn't it? |

Meaning of life is to die, I just ruined your day, now go hug a tree. I'll eat you. |

Life...it's different things for all of us. Say someone lives for love. Now, if they never find love in this life, they would have to try again in the next life, if it remains their purpose. Take myself, for example. I'm like that guy I mention in the last sentence...looking for love. Yet I can't find it. Although it is one of my goals, I don't think it is my purpose. So far...I don't know it, and I probably never will. Only at the brink of death do we realize the meaning of life, and when we are born again, we forget it, until we die yet again. And that's another thing...maybe life has no meaning. Ever think of that?

Your are here for a reason, God picked you to be here, he picked you because you have to do something with life, this is my perspective= he picked you because you will change the world, everyone will be affected with you desicion, because if your here for no reason at all, god wouldnt have picked you he would have picked another person, but he didnt, and well i think life is all planned out, if you go left, god already has a plan, if you go right, god already has a plan but hey, its only in my perspective... but then when life ends, you just sit there quietly...no feeling at all...just black...damn im scared.... |

I'm rather busy, so I can't read the whole thread, but I think that life exists to make other people happy, so that they can spread happiness, and such. If there was no meaning to life, how did we get to be here? Your meaning may be different, but everyone has their own specific mission to accomplish. |

The meaning of life, an age old question with no solid answer. Just look at all the replies in this thread if you want proof of that. We are all governed by our perceptions and, as such, an individuals 'truth' will never be the same as the next. There will always be a part of you, no matter how small, that disagrees with someone elses ideals. If one is searching for answers, it is wiser to look inward. Thus making an outward search pointless. "The purpose to a journey is not in reaching a destination, but the journey itself." Taking this quote into consideration, then applying it to life. One could conclude that the destination is death, and the journey is life. The purpose to life is not death but life, thus, the meaning to life is life itself. Including what I said earlier, your perception of life, and what you do with your life, IS the meaning of life to you. Why ponder such trivil matters? I mean, we're all going to follow our own individual perceptions anyway. So if there was one definite answer to the meaning of life, it's not as if we would agree with it unless it suited our fancy. "Reality is merely what you perceive it to be."
