i just saw this this anime recently and LOVED IT. Its so rare to find a romantic anime w/ crude humor. anyone eles seen kare kono? also, could u guys recommend an anime thats similar?? thanks :)  |

of course. i got my username from it, and i always have the same username (more or less - somebody stole it AGAIN on this site >_>) well, there's nothing QUITE like kare kano... i suppose pita-ten... although that's more cute than anything...or love hina. that one's really perverted. hmmm.

i absolutely LOVE kare kano! it's one of my most favorite anime! an anime similar to this and that i love also is peach girl. it's got romance and comedy and such, but has more drama. serious drama.     |

Kare Kano is WAY cool. And peach girl is really good, too, either the manga or the anime. Mars is really good, too, IMO, although that's a manga... That's my $0.02. Plus change. AKA Home-Dog Ass-Masta' The G-Unit |

Its kinda hard to find an anime like kare Kano without stepping over the boundary of genre but Kimi Ga Nozumo Eien is pretty close to it except without all the humor  |

well, I didn't like the anime version of kare kano, the magna was way better :/ Hana yori dango is a good anime that deals with romance and comedy at the same time...
I was once told, live life to the fullest. But how can I without you by my side.

Hey I agree! Kare kano is a Great anime I'm looking for the mp3 file of the songs right now (the songs are great!) anyways Peach girls is kinda like it. but yea like what miss kris said peach girl has more serius drama in it. to me I like Kare Kano better. |

i think people don't like the anime as much as the manga because it ended badly. but that was only because gainax had money problems at that time. i still liked it very much. another romancey type of anime is emma. but it's just a romance/drama. you don't get much laughs out of it. what i like about it is that it's set back in victorian times. =) |

yap, that's what I heard. Love the whole series and how they employ the whole story. How they employ the story is very much unique. I really love it. Songs are also great. |

| I watched this series thanks to fansubs, loved it so much I went and ordered the series online from RightStuf. Great anime but it ends prematurely!!! Fans who only watched the anime missed out on the conclusion of the cultural festival including the play. I would really love to see a season 2 made but for now I'm collecting the manga by tokyo pop. I'm up to vol 18 I think, where Soichiro (Arima)'s father Reiji returns into his life. Just like my other favourite Fruits Basket, it's an anime that goes from comedy/romance to drama/romance. I highly recommend for those who enjoy those genres. |

manga is better. Love the white lil puppies... too bad there was a artistic difference of opinion instead of a 52 episode series down to 26... and it doesnt even go half way the manga..... T____T |

Yeah, I also liked Kare Kano because it actually portrays real life situations and shows how Yukino and Arima were meant for each other, because they both have many things in common, and they actually help support each other with there problems, unlike many other romantic animes where the guy/girl like each other, even though they have little in common. I would recommend "Marmalade Boy" since it has a similar school-life romance genre to Kare Kano.  |

It one of the best anime i have ever seen!!! I don't know about the original version of it since i'm a filipino and i can only see it in our language. But its one of the best! Not only full of romance, but also with comedy and tons of life lessons especialy for teen agers lyk us! ^_^

Kare Kano is one of the best anime ever! I didin't like the ending but still it's the best! I want to read the manga, but I don't know where can I grab one. What's the ending in the manga? The anime genre is comedy/romance/drama, suits well for teenagers ^^::

Produced by gainax I'm not sure about it but my friend told me rumors says that due to the company's near bankrupt the show was halt and the way of the animating was not too good. *looks like pastel colors, the background was simple* Even though I like the series due to its wackiness, strange character's personality and Hate-love-hate-love theme!!! I think the manga was produced in America by Tokyopop! Kare Kano or Kareshi Kanojo No jijou (His and her circumstances) * The manga is far great from the anime few of the char. personality are shown in the anime unlike in manga. |

Kare Kano.. I've watched it.. very funny and entertaining, the drama gives a twist to the story.. I think the reason the series was not finished due to the company's (Gainax)near bankruptcy, and they stopped supporting kare kano 'coz it became a drama series, and Gainax wanted Kare kano to be a comedy romance genre.. im not sure..  |

ahahaha... I didn't want to do a repeat thread (even if this is a really old thread) but I LOVE KARE KANO!!!! the anime was good but how they ended it was bleh... but the manga is HILARIOUS! I'm rereading it right now cuz it's sooo good =)
