I'd say Commadore Perry, but I don't think he counts. BTW, he helped in the modernization of Japan. Gotta love him for that.


I was a person back then. I could smile and laugh and... feel. All the colors... all the hurt... all the laughing... it all went away. All of them.

They used words like brain damage... and cerebral trauma. But even then I understood. I was safe... safe from the bad thing.

Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. These guys were sharp and lightning-fast. I admire these guys a lot coz they had the guts to unify Japan at a time when the Ashikagas were making a mess of it.

Yeah, it takes a lot of guts to do what they did, what they endured over those years must have torturous. But then to get the revenge and commit seppuku after was truly astounding.

Nobunaga Oda rock! Even more cooler after seeing the gintama episode about they play a game call nobonaga no vomit~~and all the dude in the shinsengumi character from gintama ,peacemaker kurogane and such~

guess most of the historical japanese figure that i know comes from sengoku jidai/warring state periode(mostly because i'm a KOEI game fan^^)
general like oda nobunaga, tokugawa Ieyasu, toyotomi hideyoshi, etc
but the one that intrique me the most is date masamune/dokuganryuu/one eyed dragon
he's the first japanese daimyo that i know that accept christianity while many comes against it
