Grrrr.... I didn't get to go to the Oni-Con in Houston... It makes me mad because it was my mom's fault I couldn't go... Heh, I don't know anyone here so could someone maybe say hey and stuff?? ^^;;;

Yes, the Great and Powerful Gendou! too bad he got bitten in half in the movie of his own series.... Anywho, do not fret fellow comrade in anime otakuness! I have yet to go to an anime convention in my entire LIFE!!!! yes, it taunts me so, and yes I would destroy all those who get in my way if it got me to one....oh what I would do for a 1/5 scale or larger Asuka resin model... If I went to AWA I'd probably spend the 3grand I saved during summer and spend it in 3 days....and not sleep the whole time! Well, welcome to the neverending party Rikku-san!

@engineer No i wasn't trying to be insulting...if it did insult you i'm sorry...i thought it was pretty funny. @Sachiel Oh man you don't know what you're missing...if you ever have a chance to go to a convention do so...it's an otaku heaven.Just like h4or dude said you'll be spending alot of money in a short period of time. I'll give you an example of my last con.It was this years Anime Expo in Anaheim California...i basically went to meet 2 people...KOTOKO and Ms.Yamamoto (studio ego!).Have both their autographs which i'll cherish...Ms.Yamamoto even drew a cool sketch.Anyways it's an experience you'll never forget and you'll want to do it again.You get to meet leaders in the industry...(directors,producers,character designers,manga artists...voice personal...on and on)....watch new anime 24hrs a day....attend a concert(saw KOTOKO's concert)...guest of honor panels and discussions....Cosplay (a whole lot of fun and awesome)...a lot of other stuff too. Then there is the place that will suck away all your money...the DEALERS ROOM....find everything you will ever need....manga,videos,posters,garage kits,figures,games...alot of stuff. My advice bring alot of money...the trip i took for Anime Expo all together costs me close to $3000(US)...i live in Canada so thats about $3500 Cdn.Save up....but it's worth it and i plan to go again next year. |

I definitly agree with Izumo. Anime conventions are a bllaast. I spent well over 200 bucks in the dealers room of the animeNEXT con. in Seacaucus NJ. They are suuuper fun. I got to meet Vic whom does the english voice for Edward Elric and Dark from DNAngel. He's my favorite dub voice actor. ;3 I also go to meet the director of Fruits Basket. Oh man, that was ammmazing. Yeah, so anyways...like i said. I definitly agree with Izumo and you should really go to one if you get the chance... |

Whoa... those things sound like they own. I've heard about them, and heard they're expensive, but that's it. Now I know that I reaaally need to get a job so I can go to some of those... ^_^ |
