Stuff on donation; EVERYONE READ!!

I just got to thinking... There are over 100,000 members. If each of them donated fifty cents, Gendou-san would suddenly have $50,000, just for making a website. Now, not all of those members are active, but even 1,000 people donating a dollar each would certainly boost Gendou's wallet, and his motivation to do more uploading and stuff. So, just kind of saying in a friendly way, donate your dollar or two to this site! Tomorrow morning, I'll ask my mom if I can borrow her Paypal account and I'll donate whatever $1.47 I have. And, if possible, continue donating a dollar or two every month. Also, I was wondering if there was some way to check the "top user" stats. Such as, most downloads, most donations, highest level, largest single donation, etc, etc. |

Thats very nice of you Sachiel. But some of them won't be able to donate due to parents disagreements. take me for example , I asked for my parents but they don't allow. When i grow older i will use the money from my own pocket. And your calculation of $50,000, gendou would have MORE than enough money thats because the server fee is $90! Then he can hire somebody to help him to manage the site! And gendou could buy more servers for other things.. Then gendou would be the most respectable person .(he is now anyway) haha. :P For your suggestion for the Top user, most downloads will mean gendou will need to spend your money ^^ I think the top user stats would be cool. Then those people who put in alot of effort/money in gendou would then be adknowlegded. Cheers Nice idea sachiel KUROSAKI [ ICHIGO ] ![]() |

I lives in West Jordan, Utah, but I don't want to get too much closer for fears I'm not sure I want to explain. And you're not prying, but I DO want to know why YOU want to know... Why not pay out of you're own pocket right now, Rhapsody? Just say, "I've earned $15.00, and I want to donate some of that." And also, that's partly why I donated the three dollars I earned today. So Gendou can do more stuff with his site. Thank you all for your support!! |

>_< I forgot the part with your mom, Rhapsody ^_^; Use your mom's Paypal account and donate $X and give your mom the same amount that you donated ^_^ The opening to that anime, eh...? brb, I must get Gendou $10!! |

I was actually thinking of donating, but I'm not even American. XD Dollars is not our currency, but Peso. Take note of the exchange rate between currencies... almost 1:50! Gee, we are poor! So, I think contributions will lie upon sharing of music files, etc. |

I never even thought about the fact that people will have different currencies... crud. Thar takes away tons of donations. Oh well... There's still plenty of USA people out there. And that song is HARD to find... dangit... |

@ S-a-c-h-i-e-l Don't wanna sound mean, its just that $3.00 seems like a tiny amount of money to earn in one day, but its probably cuz I'm used to my worthless Canadian money.

some clarifications: my server fee is $150 but that only covers 500GB of bandwidth. most months, the server goes over by 100 GB or so, costing me 100*$1/GB = $100 fee. in the last 5 months, the average donation per month is 113% of net server fees. if it goes lower than 100%, i turn off downloads for a time, which hasnt happened lately. i am not out to make money. i have a job and it pays of my college tuition. i dont own a car, or a tv, nor do i desire such things. donating $4 a month is better than $1.00 every week because paypal takes a minimum out of each transaction! for top donator statistics, you can go here. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The average hotmail user donates the least, whereas the average comcast user donates the most. interesting.SELECT SUBSTRING_INDEX(email, '@', -1) AS domain, SUM(donate)/count(*) AS average FROM User WHERE donate > 1.0 GROUP BY domain HAVING COUNT(*) > 18 /* statistically relevant results only */ ORDER BY average DESC; +-------------+---------+ | domain | average | +-------------+---------+ | comcast.net | 14.2675 | | aol.com | 12.6201 | | yahoo.com | 10.8935 | | msn.com | 10.7742 | | gmail.com | 10.6682 | | hotmail.com | 9.4519 | +-------------+---------+ ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I applaud Sachiel for this thread and everyone who is trying there best to help Gendou-san whichever way they can.I'm fortunate to have a good job that pays the bills and such which is why i'm up there on the list.I plan to donate again as soon as i can balance my budget....also need to get myself a laptop to work on my manga. This is a great site and it would be a travesty if it ever dissappears so "thumbs up" to everyone...even if you can't donate now in the future you can...and i hope you will. By the Gendou-san....i'm thinking you live on your own correct....must be tough sometimes....but keep up the great work you do for us...we all appreciate it...Right everybody! ![]() |

O_o Izumo's level 101!! All hail the mighty Izumo! And Gendou, I think everyone here loves this site. If they didn't, well, they'd be gone. So you have 10,000 people that like your site! Keep it up! |

By Gendou's SQL query results, the people already paying the most for their internet are the most willing to donate money, proving the blindingly obvious point that those with money spend it and those without don't. |
