"HELL YEAH~<3 hurry up put it on the tube lets go!! your soooo slow.."

but that's just me...
maybe start slowly with anime that doesn't cross the line...
and then slowly walk them towards it lol

well i showed my brother hellsing ultimate but showed him the bloody fight parts more since he didnt care too much about the talk inbetween. but i doubt they would like any of it so its my thing for now.

Well, if it's a series, then I'll let them watch Patlabor the Series (quite entertaining and funny too, and it's MECHA!!), The Pilot and the Princess (OVA), and of course, Studio Ghibli's Movies, especially Princess Mononoke. They will change their views on anime after watching those... I think.

I've got my mom on board to watch Tokyo Godfathers. She loves drama and hates anything magical. My dad was an easier sell because he loves violence and gore. I actually had to hide my Vampire Hunter D dvd from him.

Call it a preposterous but this anime has lots of parodies mostly regarding other animes and even movies that would probably make even adults wonder about them and may even learn something, like trivias from movies and not to mention mangas. This anime also shows a lot of Japanese culture and maybe even some info on different countries. For parents that would like to have their young children to watch animes for the first time, this is probably if not the best, one of the best anime to show them.

I agree with some of the members above, Ghibli Movies are the best, if they are considered as anime.

My mom used to watch DBZ and Tenchi Muyo on toonami with me when I was a kid but now she all like "NOOOOO". She won't watch them with me anymore. So I just leave her alone and watch them with my sisters.
