It is tempting to complain about rules you dislike, especially in a competition. Please be aware that I have zero tolerance for complaining about the rules. Any complaints or misbehavior related to the Gendou Idol rules, or judges responses, will result in disqualification. This is supposed to be fun, so please enjoy the talented singers, and sing your heart out! |

I'm very excited for this season! I wanted to wish everyone Good LUCK on the competition. And about the rules, they have been posted, and that's about it. If you dislike them, then don't participate, no one is forcing anyone to do so. This contest is supposed to be fun, and just like any other contest out there, rules must be followed. I'm sorry, but that's the way it is. ^-^ As of the number of entries... If someone submitted a vocaloid song prior to the rules posting, no worries, I might increase the number of slots, so if you hurry, you will be able to re record your entry. ^-^ Just send me a PM, or something, if you have any questions :) |

I'm not sure why everyone's making a big deal out of the rules. Basically, only songs from Vocaloid aren't aloud in the competition anymore, and that's understandable. Would you audition for a competition or agency singing a Vocaloid song? And the rule about auto-tune, well I think that's always a given even though this competition requires good mixing/creative editing. Though most songs relating to anime don't have auto-tune in them so that's never been an issue, just a reminder really. So basically there's been one thing changed, and people should just accept it, y'know? If you plan on only singing songs a computer can sing, that breaks down your singing ability. It says your level of singing can be matched with a machine, a computer. If people had planned on entering using a Vocaloid song, I do think maybe a small extension could be given, but that's up to Pame and Gendou, not me. I always think you should have a backup or "plan b" ready sometimes, too for situations like this. I do hope people do some different songs though, try to mix things up. Don't go outside of your ability, the main idea is to record a nicely mixed audio track. Not everyone has a gifted voice, but that's never required to win a singing competition, never. I hope people try different techniques, try playing around with background vocals and such. A big issue with last season/competition was people not balancing their entries properly, which can be easy points to lose, so make sure to finish everything and review it a few times for every detail. You ARE aloud to have other people edit/mix your track, so if you know someone who is experienced with that area, go for it! And personally for me, I'll be excited if more people sing Korean songs, too! I know the main concept for GI had always been anime, but people aren't limited to anime songs. There were a lot of entries that were in spanish, there were songs that were American (english), and I even heard a Rainbow (k-pop group) song, too, so I'm personally looking forward to that. ...just know I'll still score everything the same, so there's no easy points from me. ^_~` And I too, second Gendou, respect the judges please. ------- |

HELP! I messed up bad D: I submitted my cover of Hanaji, but I totally spaced that it was the TV version. Can I delete my submission and resubmit a different song? I have the song picked and everything. I just feel horrible about forgetting it wasn't long enough >///3///< |

My question wasn't answered :| so I'm reposting it here, I hope it's okay: Last time someone suggested that voting would only start after the judges pick the top 25. Will that suggestion take effect for Gendou Idol 7? I think it's a really good suggestion. Not everyone listens to all the songs, and most people just vote for their friends, so why not have the judges to pick the winners for the first round and have everyone vote once the initial winners are chosen? That way the winners for the first round will be chosen based on their talent and not so much on popularity. |

Jetz, thanks for reminding me of this idea! I will check with Pame-chan and the other judges... Some of you may notice posts above got deleted. There will be absolutely zero discussion of the "No Vocalods" rule. If someone comes on here to troll, just ignore them. These ugly, loud individuals are the vast minority, and nobody likes them. Their post will be deleted as quickly as possible. |

Jetz: Yes, that will be implemented this season. Thank you so much for reminding us! :D It will be more fair for everyone to work it that way :D Shiroko: Yup, you can, so hurry before the sign ups close :D About the VOCALOID (This is the last time I say anything about it) If you did sign up with a vocaloid song, and need some extra time to redo your entry, I might be able to do so, but only for those who send me a message and ask nicely. |

Well, you could keep an eye on the list to see if anyone is removed. >_< I just saw this myself and, while I wouldn't have time to prepare something as I have a test and moving to think about in the next two days, I have been wanting to try again for fun. Hopefully I sneak in next time around. xD Can't wait to see the outcome; good luck everyone. ;3 |

Well, I'm second what Jetz said. It'll be terrible for anyone who doesn't have much friends who knows about anime songs online too. So I can just hope that the admins will be able to work things out, and make a fair decision. :) |

Yes, season 7 round 1 will have no voting period. All suitable songs, as assessed by the judges, will proceed to round 2, where users can vote. I have increased the number of entries from 100 to 125. A fewer entries means more time spent listening to and responding to each. This is why we don't want to increase the number too much. |

I'm having a blast listening to everyone's entries (so many talented singers) and I had a bit of fun at singing one as well. Thanks a ton to the organizers/judges of this event! |
