Which would you choose?

I'm not truly sure that this is the right section......

Okay... I'm asking opinions for which would you people choose between these two: There are two [I repeat, TWO] set of stairs. One is after you enter the building and the other is at the end of the hall. And you want to reach a room that is in the second floor also at the end of the hall.

[Alright, if you cannot understand the one above, here's another one...]
Alright, you want to reach a room in the end of the hall in the second floor. And to reach the second floor, there are two set of stairs. One after you enter the building and the others is at the end of the hall. My question is which would you choose: The stair after you enter the building or at the end of the hall?

Also, the walking distance from the first set of stairs on the first floor to the stairs at the end of the hall and the distance to the room on the second floor is just the same.

In answering, please also tell why you chose that.

Thanks in advance on who'll answer!! ^^

hm.. maybe the stairs after entering the building.
because i know that the room is on 2nd floor, so i better go up first to see the room from far.

Is this a poll or a survey you're doing?

It depends. What type of building is this? What's featured in that room, and on those two floors?

This is interesting. XD

By the way, Since there isn't much information about the building's structure....
I'm not quite sure which stairs I'll choose since I don't really know the entire structure of the building.
There are two things that comes into my mind...

1. Even I see a set of stairs at the end of the hall... still... It is not guaranteed that it leads to the room I want to reach on the second floor.
The stairs can leads to somewhere else.

2. The same goes for the stairs after entering the building...
There could be somekind of wall in the center of the hall or something in the way on the second floor that will make me couldn't reach the room I want to reach.

The question is... why there are two stairs if they are leading to the same place?
why there's not just one stairs in the middle of the hall instead so people don't have to think twice before going upstairs?
------------------------
Okay, those are just my simple thought of this kind of situation...

Normally, I will take the stairs at the end of the hall, because i believe the first stairs don't connect to the end of the hall.
Like I was saying in number 2, i believe there must be some kind of things in the way at the center of the hall.

When walking to the door on the 2nd floor id want to come in from the side that has the handle first. so id go up the stairs then walk :)

No idea. Its just what i choose. >_> no real special logic behind it.

Well ! Is this a trick question. For me it doesn't matter which stair that I choose as long as it leads to the same place anyway. But, since I can't decide which stair that I choose and I don't know what is inside that room (It would be different story if something inside that room interest me). Then I will just walk away and leave that building. (^_^)

I'll go for the nearest set of stairs from when I first enter the building.

Doesn't matter which path you chose as long as it still leads to where you're headed.

I, for one, choose an elevator.

If both paths are roughly equal in distance, take the one that has less traffic. The prompt doesn't specify this, but with some minor assumptions that's going to be the far stairs.

If the door you entered from is (if not the only) the most common entry into the building, then most other people entering the building and wanting to go to the second floor would use the near staircase. If most of them aren't going to or coming from the end of the hall the near staircase is a shorter path for them. That means the near staircase is going to be more crowded.
