Declaring this now, but this will most likely be my favorite anime this season, and probably the best. It's been so long since I've seen one released since Clannad: AS, and finally a new harem which looks promising, has arrived and I already love it. I've waited a little bit for the release and I'm glad it's finally here. The first episode is awesome and as good as it could get. The artwork is very stunning and the animation is smooth. This has everything I love in anime that I usually end up loving really fast, and I already love this anime a lot. All the ingredients are together, and I can't wait for this to unfold. The only thing I fear is this might be another typical short season, but I'll enjoy it every week, every episode, and see where it goes. Hopefully it goes on for a while. ;P Couldn't tell but I think Kugimiya Rie is involved, as well as a few others I'm questionable about. One thing I'm surprised on is that they blocked out the pantsu shots and it looks weird. :/ All in all, PL! is going to be my favorited anime out of the rest, as of now. Oi~

Looking forward to this, the characters are cute. It might not be my favorite yet. I'm not so sure about my feelings of seeing too much harem. I'll like to see some reverse harem more. If rie kugimiya's really involved, then I might add to favorite right away though. xD |

lol I heared this thing got many censor on it, that kinda turned me off (I bet many got turned off too.. lol). But lol I'll check out this anime as well.  |

That's unfair, they censor a pantsu shot (which is lame) when they air an entire episode of Queen's Blade!? And it's weird is that the promo didn't have any censorship on it. Maybe they cut that out to add more boing~ on the bust? ^_~`

Taken from ANN: Plot Summary: Teppei Arima is a second-year high school student who lost both of his parents in a traffic accident on their way home from a family trip. His grandfather, Isshin Arima, happens to wield the puppet strings in Japan’s vast economy and demands that Teppei becomes his successor as the head of the Arima Group. To prepare for his debut into high society, Teppei enrolls in an elite academy for the scions of the rich and powerful.

It is based on an ero-game by Ricotta which is their very first game they made. Checking on their site it appears another game that may be a sequel to Princess Lover (with different characters) is being made though info is still early on it. Anyways back to Princess Lover!, i agree the production levels of the anime is very well done. Beautiful character designs that are equal to the original game. The story is not that different from any other ero-game turned anime....it more reminds me of Shuffle! than anything else. As for the censorship of the scene (i assume the one when Charlotte is attacked in the carriage), you do notice that the frame before that you can actually see her panties (they were white :P). So i guess the shadows that hid the scene was on purpose. The DVD release will probably have a clearer view if you are into that sort of thing :D Sylvia's design reminds me of Saber from Fate, she's probably my fave character cause she's just really cool. You'll know what i mean 'if' they decide to go her route in the anime...that is the thing i'm interested about the anime. Which direction will it take in terms of who Teppie will choose cause i have no idea...i have a vague thought but i have to see.  |

lol, I hate finding out about routes, cause one, it's unfair to other fans who like other characters, and two, I really want to see ALL the routes! Only leads to OVAs, which I would still love and want after the season. ;P And yeah, I thought Sylvia reminded me of Saber a lot. She has a bit more sex appeal, that's for sure. ^_~` I re-watched episode 1 last night, I just can't wait for the next episode, zomg. >_<;;

@ DAngel-san Well the majority of visual novel adaptations is precisely that....finding a way to satisfy evert route. Sometimes it is done really well (like AIR,CLANNAD & Shuffle!), other times not so much as in the case of Tayutama & others that i forget at the moment. As in the case of CLANNAD & Shuffle both had 20+ episodes to work with. Enough episodes to at least show abit of development for each heroine. AIR only had 12 or so episodes but you have to remember that there were less heroines (3 main ones) so the short timeframe was sufficent enough. Tayutama suffered cause there were multiple heroines & not enough time to show or develope each of them. Also the story hampered that to an extent or that the creators decided not to bother with it. Hopefully Princess Lover! doesn't meet that same end. The story is good enough (from what i experienced) to warrant more character development, it also depends on what the animators/creators decide to handle it as well. Also as many have already guessed since the series is based on an ero-game, expect ample cleavage, panties & extensive fanservice. Those who are uncomfortable with these i suggest you stay away. Those who are not, try to stay calm & breathe slowly whenever it happens. Just to get you guys/gals in the mood here is something to 'wet' your appetite.... WARNING!!! Yeah I've become accustomed to such harems/romances/love-life games that involve alternative endings. This doesn't even go with harems, but I hate how a ton of series I enjoy and love, are so short as in 12 episodes. The most common length for anime, and often followed by an extra episode or "OVA". With games that are popular, or even sometimes with manga that are popular, if they're restricted by limits on production values, I think they deserve to be increased. If it's just that they decide to make them that length, I have no idea in heaven's name why so short. Maybe a few more episodes. 15? 18? Or go the full lesser common length of 22-24 episodes. I felt bad for Tayutama. I know the game was a huge success and fans of it watching the anime must've been disappointed. I know I would've been. Anyways, Princess Lover!, for sure, is my favorite anime this season, even though I finished Otoboku today, and bringing up how anime are too short, Otoboku was definitely way too short. I strongly believe if it was half as long, it would've been half as good, and with this anime, that is a huge comment because the series alone was really, really good! With Princess Lover!, I don't see any other anime topping it this season, personally because I prefer harem/romance/love-life (of this variety) over anything else, because I'm a HUGE romance guy, love my romance and harem. It's like someone liking J-Pop more than J-Rock. And I said before I've been waiting for a harem for quite a while, so I've been anticipating this title for a while before release. Anyways, I saw episode two (spoilers), and just as I expected it was just darn fun and joyful. Teppei gets situated into his new house (super mansion), and already goes to school the next day (after episode 1). About Fujikawa Yuu (Teppei's personal maid), her VA is not Kugimiya Rie, my mistake, they sounded similar, but it's actually another seiyu I oh so love, Matsuoka Yuki (Orihime of Bleach, Tsuruya of Suzumiya!!). <333!! Actually, not only her, the four main girls (in Izumo's pic above) are pretty good. Love Charlotte's seiyu. More on Yuu, I'm really going to love her more and more, besides the VA part. Definitely going to fall for Teppei, so cliche of course it's from a harem visual novel, but I want to especially find out more on Seika. Everyone else already has a connection with Teppei. Charlotte's to die for. Ugh, it's going to be a competition between these four girls already! >_<;; Once again I'm really looking forward to the next episode. The spar between Teppei and Silvia is going to be entertaining. I can tell they might have some special alone time moments together. Another thing, they awkwardly blocked out the pantsu shots (lol, Teppei observing the "types"). XDXD! I don't want it to ruin this 'classy' feeling anime, unlike Rosario + Vampire, but they have to at least show the ones present in the two episodes so far cause they weren't anything vulgar at all. Nothing serious. Hmmm... possibly a censored version of the episodes? Izumo, I know you watch raw episodes before dLing the subs, is there a difference by any chance? In your pic, Chartlotte's almost going Dragonaut: The Ressonance (which is not good). 'Too huge', Yuu seems perfect. Not only that at the very beginning of the episode, Teppei unintentionally sleeps on her "pillows"!!! >_<;; (D:<) Can't wait for the next episode, once again. Will have hype for it and I surely won't be disappointed.

haha as expected, danchou created this thread xD Id been expecting that its either izumo or danchou will create this thread aside from me xD actually this is a Hgame based anime from Ricotta. I never played the game but after seeing the characters, I really feel that this anime will be interesting! @Izumo-san - do you have any larger image for the one you posted? From what I know (I like harem anime too , provided their story is not too dissapointing) , a lot of harem genre animes ends up sucky =__=* . My most preferable ones are still Clannad , Shuffle and Aa~ Megami Sama :) . |

@ DAngel-san I wasn't say disappointed in Tayutama, i still enjoyed it alot. I just thought it could've been handled better. For Princess Lover! i already like it more since the very intro to the anime is original stuff. The saving of Charlotte wasn't in the original game....if i recall. The game just starts with Teppie arriving to the mansion & greeted by Yuu after recieving a letter from his granpa. *Sidenote* Notice the granpa's voice is the same as the dad in Tayutama...he seems to always have those role. As for voices the game seiyuu's are again very similar to the ones in the anime...hence again my belief that popular seiyuu's use alias' when doing ero-game roles. I do occasionally watch the RAW versions whenever i get the chance, however with Princess the version i saw was the same as the fansub meaning the censorhip was still present. Although i'm unsure of the showtime of the RAW version i watched. The censorship may have been removed during an episode that was shown at a later time. As with Tayutama i really like all the 'facial' details that was present in the episode. Notice Charlotte's face near the end when she 'volunteers' Teppei to dual Silvia. Her smile was almost bigger than her head....so cute though. I notice alot of these little details in shows & often they get overlooked. I have many more pics of 'extensive' fanservice of Princess Lover! I can post more up if your noses are able to handle them. I can also post some stuff from the original game as comparison as well. @ Ich-san All you needed to do to get the full size is to look at the properties of the pic by right-clicking your mouse. Yeah, the handling better part is what I was disappointed about. A common feeling though. :O Wakamoto Norio is an awesome seiyu. He's the seiyu of "Grandpa" in this anime, but he's been in other titles I've seen as well. Look him up on Wiki, he's done a ton of anime and gaming roles to date. lol, aliases eh? That would be pretty interesting to find out, but use two different career names? A lot of seiyus in Japan can sound similar at times, in this case, I've guessed similar before, like when I think I know a certain character's seiyu, and when I look it up, it's someone even more obvious (happens sometimes). Princess Lover does a nice job with quality overall. The animation and artwork in this title are definitely going to stay consistent. I enjoy those little details that are often overlooked, because the little details make it much bigger. And sure share more pics! You know I can handle 'em. ^_~`

Yeah Wakamoto Norio-san is definitely an awesome seiyu!!! I totally agree! He i know for sure doesn't use any alias' when doing 'H' stuff. He's in alot of those games, mostly playing the old guy/father/grandpa character. He has a distinctive voice you can pick out clearly. I know what you mean when seiyu's sound similar & often mistaken for one another. Like you did thinking Yu was Kugimiya Rie-san. What makes me believe that popular mainstream seiyu's use alias when doing other choices of work is some research i did some time ago. I remember watching an anime series & realized one of the characters sounded very similar...i then thought 'oh yeah' it was from some ero-game i played recently. The seiyu in question was Yuko Goto. When doing h-game roles she's known as Ran Tono. Other well known seiyu that i know for sure are Mamiko Noto, Hitomi Nabatame, & Shizuka Ito. Doing H-game roles is probably harder to do than regular mainstream anime cause of the 'extra' curricular stuff they have to do...it can be hard to 'fake' it sometimes. Anyways back to Princess Lover. Downloading episode 3 as i post so when i get howe from work i can see what happens in the dual. Also Shin-san has confirmed that the song in the PV in on the Princess Pimp single. As promised here are some more 'fanservice' pics. I thumbnailed them this time just in case you guys/gals what to get them yourselves. I have alot more 'coming' XD once i upload them to photobucket. Yeah, I forgot to mention that could've been one of my examples. I think it's fun to think you know 'em before going to Google or whatever. I'd say I'm mostly right 55-66% of the time but sometimes with larger casting anime, it gets even tougher. And even when you look them up, you might be surprised and have the "wow, really?" reaction or something. lol, ero-games and h-anime roles. I can imagine being in the same room when that recordings going on. I'm sure it's no problem to them, or they're naturally good at it? Does it prove "something else" about the seiyu? O.o` What if it wasn't even like, a single recording. What if it was some live recording? ...nahhhh~~ I don't want to ruin faces here, haha. The seiyu cast for this title is very charming though, specifically the female roles, most favoriting Chartlotte. Her voice for Charlotte is so heart warming, it just makes you love Charlotte, and at this point, I already do! ^_~` lol, zomg the one of Silvie looks SO much like Saber! lol, the first one. In the anime, Teppei said they were striped, right? ;P And the last one with Charlotte, she looks like an older version of her, but can't beat one of the classic fantasies. If I'm ever lucky enough to have a wonderful wife, and she cooks an omelet for me wearing a similar costume, I'm so taking a picture and framing it! And yeah man, bring them on! lol, you probably have a million. ^_~` Now, my comments on episode three which I finished now. Zomg, I love this anime so much, for sure nobody's taking this #1 spot for me. I was even so excited to hear the OP---I enjoyed this episode a lot... The dual was interesting. Ended pretty fast, so nothing like a real match like their first ever encounter. Teppei said he lost, but you can easily tell Silvie's instantly starting to get into him at a quick rate. The entire episode it was like they were already as close friends like him and Charlotte. Speaking of Charlotte, her character's adorable as hell. Too cute to comfort. Can Moe fit in this anime!? I see some. >_<;; I felt bad when Yuu couldn't get into the Social Club. I know people would talked about how she's only a maid/servant. Teppei would instantly flip out for sure. Hmm, I wonder if there's going to be a moment like that. Teppei defends Yuu and says she's not a maid, she's a friend, and Yuu falls for him (I think it's safe to say she will, right?). So far, Keika is definitely not liking Teppei. She might turn out to be a Tsundere, don't you think so? Plus her "posse" is pretty mean against him as well... When Keika brought up the fact he used to own a soba shop, I was thinking how he would deny being a club with such an arrogant person (for making such a personal comment), and then he'd storm out and people would react surprised and whatnot, but he quickly wanted to show her he could be elegant and act like a regular rich person. I'm sure something will happen where the rich life might bring him a ton of stress. I'm hoping something sad will come, heavily surrounding him cause I love it in romacne/drama (if it's done powerfully enough). About the new single, yeah, it's the other single with Princess Pimp and wow, it's f#cking awesome. When I heard it, the volume was so loud (forgot to turn it down), and the intro part with that cute melody and bass pedal, it's so poppy. ;P I like Teppei's friend Haruhiko, if you can call them friends even? His character, aww, I feel bad he's always being ignored. Can't wait for the next episode, as always, but yeah I want the drama to come soon. I don't want this to only be a lovey dovey anime. I'm already expecting high expectations, but so far I have not been disappointed. The slighty comedy in this title is also pretty smooth and casual. Did he get what I think he got practicing dancing with Charlotte every time he "umph~~" on her chest? If so, ROFL. The quality, once again was nice, and it's one of a few titles I'm watching full-screen. Actually lately I've been watching almost all my anime full screen (SHnY 2, Needless, Princess Lover! for example). So yes, Kanpai to episode four! Who's your favorite girl so far, Izumo? This is insanely impossible to choose one. A tough triangle with Yuu, Charlotte, and Silvie. So far, Keika will join later perhaps. Oh, and one thing I almost forgot. Is Silvie's sister going to be in the next episode? I think I heard her name, not sure, but wow I'm waiting for that girl with the short 455 skirt where her butt's just hanging out! Zomgoodness. O.O` [SIDENOTE] You can tell I really love this anime since I talk to detailed (aka A LOT) about it. Sorry for the long posts, lol.
