 Infinity City is a very unique city in that it sits at the nexus between many worlds. Existing by many names in many worlds, only its denizens know of its true name, and its nature. The influence of so many worlds is obvious in the city's layout, as many parts of the city are technologically advanced, while other parts are much older. Though the city's unique existence in so many worlds has somehow been kept a secret from travelers and the different worlds they come from, and unless these travelers discover the truth, they cannot enter other worlds. However, as of late, organizations from the different worlds have begun to learn of the city's properties, and seek to exploit it. Unless something is done soon, the city's lack of leadership and evil forces from outside will soon lead to the city's destruction... It is a dark time in Infinity City. It has been eleven months since a band of assorted travelers and mercenaries tried to protect the city from outside influences - and failed. Not many people witnessed what happened almost a year ago, but nearly everyone in the city felt the earthquake and heard the sonic boom. People that rushed to the scene were confronted by a perfectly-hemispherical crater where Ligan's Tavern used to be, with no sign of any of the staff or people who were renting rooms or drinking at the bar. On an unrelated but similarly tragic note, two schoolgirls, Charlotte Vanderbilt and Jenni Radcliffe, also went missing that day, some time between school ending and arriving home. Since that day, many more people have gone missing, shoot-outs are no longer rare events, and darker, more fearsome creatures have entered the city. Prices for nearly everything are sky-rocketing, and people are leaving, either of their own accord, or by intimidation or payment. For some reason, mercenaries have been coming here, but there's no war to fight and even they seem at a loss as to why they've come. This is where you come in. You've arrived in Infinity City through various means (either a while ago, or just recently), and you hit hard times like everyone else, unless you brought a lot of cash with you. Employment is hard to come by, and the rent has been increasing almost weekly. That's why you pay attention to a note you just received "I have seen you around the city, and I believe I can offer you employment of sorts in these hard times. Depending on how well you do this first job, I might be able to offer a long term position. You look capable enough from a distance, so I've decided I have to meet you. Bring your swords and guns. I will interview you in my home, at The Archives, 36 Crest Alley, in the Steam sector. Please arrive on Saturday evening at 7:30pm. Don't be late." A) In short, Infinity City is a city which connects all cities. New York, Minas Tirith, Sigil, Nar Shadaa, Megatokyo, Coruscant, City 17, New Berlin, Metropolis, and millions more are all linked to Infinity City . Furthermore, it exists separately from each of these cities’ time lines, so that a gangster from 1930’s Chicago can come face to face with a cyber hacker from 2100 and a wizard from the People’s Palace. Q) How big is Infinity City? A) As its name implies, it is unimaginably large. Q) Doesn’t this make it hard to get around? A) No. Some fundamental aspect of the dimension that Infinity City lies in makes this almost a non-issue. When a traveler sets out across Infinity City, as long as he/she/it has a destination in mind, they will get to that destination after a certain period of time – anywhere between ten minutes and four hours. Faster modes of transport (trains, magical motorcycles, flying, or simply running) will reduce this amount of time. Also, the more familiar the route, origin and destination is to the person travelling, the faster the trip will be. Distance between destinations is more easily measured by the “difference†between them, in the amount and type of technology, culture and magic. Getting from an area similar to feudal Japan (low technology and magic) to an area with technology on par with Coruscant will be a long trip. However, getting from a Coruscant-like area to somewhere like Tokyo, 2100, will be a relatively short trip. Q) Doesn’t this make maps difficult? A) Yes, it does. Maps of more than one district are generally impossible, but within districts they are reasonably accurate (given that growth and redevelopment in the city makes them inaccurate after a couple of years). Q) What’s a district? A) A district, zone, quarter or sector is simply a region within the city with a similar technology/magic/culture grouping. The reason for this is because people coming from the same city end up in the same region of Infinity City – that is, everyone that comes from London, 2008, ends up in roughly the same spot. People coming from London, 2012, end up close by, but not quite in the same spot. People generally settle in areas they are most comfortable with, so people that like a certain level of technology, magic and share a similar culture settle near each other, and generally don’t use technology or magic that is too far above or below them. Q) Why isn’t very highly advanced technology and/or magic everywhere? Surely it’s cleaner, faster, safer and more energy efficient? A) Because people from places and times too different can’t work it to its fullest ability. Pretend you went back in time and gave your grandfather a DVD player, when TV’s were only just being introduced. That’s the kind of difficulty faced by giving everyone everywhere the same magic and technology. People simply don’t trust it, can’t work it, won’t use it, or find it too ugly looking. Also, magic has many peculiar rules of its own. Lastly, there are a lot of non-humans in Infinity City, and some of the highest levels of technology and magic only work for them. He intervened but he was overpowered, and he wished that his cousin would never share the same fate with him. Abilities: Transformation: Being a wielder of a Legendary Sword, he is capable of transforming into Warrior and True Forms. Warrior Form - gains armor plus enhanced stamina and endurance True Form [aka True Warrior] - Can only be achieved when the Legendary Sword and the wielder became one [the sword and the wielder's hearts became one]. In this form the user gain more enhanced strenght and stamina and also capable of using the full power of a Legendary Sword. Darkness Spells: The user has the ability to use the darkness spell that is connected to Yamata-no-Orochi, the spells are powerful and dangerous that can destroy property or kill any like forms. Dark Wave - An attack that hits everyone in one direction. Void blast - The sword will emit a dark violet light and unleash a powerful destructive ray and can obliterate anything. Void Spells: These spells are said to be to nullify or eliminate a certain object that is connected to it. There are only five to ten existing Void Spells because these spells were highly regarded as "cursed and forbidden arts" and only Yamata -no- Orochi can use it. Life Void - From the name itself, it is made to kill one's life but the effect may vary, sometimes it may not not kill a person but it may badly wound them instead. Spell Void - To nullify spells and damage the enemy, somewhat weak but it is a one direction hit all AOE and has a critical ratio to compensate it. Name: Rou Kagiyuki Age: 21 Gender: Male Race: Human Weapon/s: 13 swords that varies one another. Rou can summon the swords at will (FFXIII kind of swords) Abilities: summon swords: make the swords appear around him act as shield or use as attack weapon in flexible manner. he also can control the swords movement without touching the swords or anything (FFXIII kind of abilities) instant move: move in an instant (FFXIII kind of move) there are 4 level on using the sword level 1 level 2 level 3 level 4 but on defensive Rou can use all the weapon. but when attacking he usually stay on level 1-2 level 3-4 is use in really strong enemy and ultimate art 'ougi' berserk mode: When Rou is outrage he will likely lose control of everything. No.2 restriction is gone, but because of that there will be no friends or enemies to him. just a simple annihilation is what to describe it. restriction: 1. the swords only protect him (a.k.a surround him) 2. while not being touch the sword cannot stab another being. it can push back enemy but can't stab them unless Rou use it to stab. Without being touch the swords are purely defensive type 3. if the sword ever be damage (which likely to be zero percentage) the damage sword wouldn't appear even if it being summon. the damage sword are being repair in the sword dimension and need time until it was fixed the sword name: Hi - I Mizu - I Kaze - I Chi - I Honoo - II Shinsui - II Bofu - II Riku - II Koen - III Yuki - III Ranryu - III Jishin - III Rikka - IV story: A man sits in a corner of a bar, hidden in the shades of the building. But this Midgard is different from what the man came from. This is the Midgard of Infinity City, a place where all are gathering. This is the tale of a man, rise and fall, crawling to stay alive. Searching for something unknown but precious. This is the tale of Rou Kagiyuki, former Kagi clan. He changes his name after he annihilate ridiculous clan’s tradition - Zenno Tsurugi and the clan itself.

Ill join in Character Sheet Name: Eric kazuma Age: 17 Gender: male Race: Human with a demon arm Pic:  Bio: Eric's parent were poor and had trouble making a living but one day this mysterious man made a deal involving Eric (This will be involved in the RP during Eric's time in Infinity city) but he didn't understand because he was little. The man left and never returned to the little house.During Eric childhood he was bullied because he was poor and grew timid about people wondering if they met any harm to him even if they didnt, Eric started to wandered around alot. During one of his normal exploring he had found a ring that was in a cave with the ceiling that looked like stars against a pitch black sky. Now in the present Eric wakes up in a city with no idea how he came to be here or where he is. he remembers that the sky had become dark as though a storm was coming and seeing a man in a cloak and top hat at the end of the road looking at Eric with eyes that seemed to see throuhg him, Eric vagualy remembered that the man resembled the one who made the deal with his parents, shortly after everything went dark and Eric felt like he was falling forever. After Eric woke up he finds that he wasn't on the road he was a second ago and he was in a city, also his arm has changed closely resembeling a monsters and seeing a mirror he sees that his left eye has a blue flame. Eric is startled to see that everything he sees through his left eye is as though it is nighttime and snowing even though the sun is out. To this Eric has bandaged his left eye and arm so that no one would see what they looked like and has started looking around to find where he is. Personality: Eric is a shy and quiet when he first meets a person but as he gets closer to them he opens up more. He is still scared of people hurting him when he first meets someone and sometimes trys to avoid them Weapon: Demonic Arm, Cursed Eye Accessory: Ring Abilities: Shapeshift - arm changes its form -Sword - Transforms into a blade -Cannon - As the name says -Claw - A claw -Shield - Forms a shield Glare - His eye sees the true form of a person and forces at work not normal people can see Physique - Eric's strength, perception, and agility are far superior to that of a normal humans Ring - Unknown purpose, A ring made from black silver with a crystal that looks like it holds the clouds swirling around Blue Flame - when his left eye is unbandaged he can light his changed arm on fire with a blue flame coming from his eye, giving its the ability to burn things  |

Very interesting character I will look forward for its character development Regarding to your question I PM you about it @EricG- Simple character, just make sure that your shape shifting arm does not overpower too much @karasu: Kingdom Hearts vibe?.... Yeah now you mention it I will try my best to map the City... If I cam @All- I will set other rules [wait or should i say list ]regarding to the races... just let me finalize the list... Character Sheet Name:Noctis Lucis Caelum Age:18 Gender:Male Race:Human Pic:  Note*He also wears a coat similar to Organization 13,but is always open.Bio:A human that doesn't know where he came from or what he is doing here.All he knew was that he was given a deck of cards that do his bidding.Usually seen at the back to the fight,he uses his head rather than fight up close and personal.Another reason why he doesn't fight up close is that he was a weak body due to his illness.He usually says less that what he really means and prefers to keep his ideas to his head.He also views battles as 'a very large game of chess that can literally kill you.' Weapon:Cards,Long Sword. Abilities:He has the ability to use cards at his will(The cards have different abilities ranging from Destructive Magic to Healing Spells,including summoning spells).The only downside is that he doesn't know what the card will do when he uses it,so he doesn't always mean to do what he does,however he has one memorized card.A card that will enable him to summon a sword of any length,size and shape at will.The cards will do his bidding until he ceases it or until he loses his energy.All the cards however are just simple spells like Fireballs and such.He combines the card abilities to perform much more complex spells.He is known to combine five cards all at once,but the toll to his body is very big.  |

I'm working on a character will post it when I can finish it. Can take a while so you can start without me, few last days of school are going on and things are getting hectic around here. This seems like a fun place to be when it starts. I'm looking forward to it :) Name: Cyrus Age: 130 While he is probably the oldest living human in Infinity City he appears to be 20-30 years old. Also his full height is about 8 feet or 240cm and he is also generally larger than other humans. Gender: Male Race: Genetically Modified Human (Space Marine) Pic:  Just without the flying skull and gauntlet mounted storm bolter. Bio: While on transit his ship's warp engine broke down and he was thrown through space and time into Infinity City. When he recovered from the confusion he decided to find more about this new place he had been transported. He has lived in Infinity City over a hundred years making his living as a mercenary. When in battle he is unrelenting and merciless. Even when not on duty he always carries his halberd with him which make him quite an intimidating figure although he is in fact friendly and caring. Weapon: Nemesis Force Halberd, Plasma pistol called Sunrise Armor: Aegis Power Armor The Nemesis weapon is shrouded in energy allowing it cut through most materials with ease. Abilities: Pentagrammic and Hexagonic wards: These wards are tattooed into his body, also similar wards are inscribed into his armor. Both give him resistance to magical abilities. Rest of his abilities are divided into two groups: Genetic: These abilities were crafted into Cyrus during his induction they come in form of several new internal organs. Miscellinious: The abilities Cyrus has aqcuired during his stay in Infinity City. His Genetic abilities are also the names of his extra organs: Mucranoid - The Weaver: Allows him to survive extremes of temperature Larraman's Organ - The Healer: The wounds he receives are almost instantly covered by scar tissue in order to prevent blood loss. He also heals more rapidly. Occulobe - The Eye of Vengeance: He has better eyesight than normal human and can see in almost complete darkness Secondary Heart - The Maintainer: Overall boost to his physical abilities. Biscopea - The Forge of Strenght: Boosts his strenght to superhuman levels. Oolitic Kidney - The Purifier: Allows him to survive almost any poison. Preomnor - The Neutraliser: He is able to digest far broader range of food than normal humans. Multi-Lung - The Imbiber: Allows him to breath underwater. Lyman's Ear - The Sentinel: He has sharper hearing and is much more difficult to disorient than normal humans. Ossmodula - The Ironheart: He has tremendously strong and fast-healing skeleton and his rib-cage is fused into a protective shell. Catalapsean Node - The Unsleeping: He is able to stay awake for several weeks at time without suffering from sleep deprivation. His Misc abilities are: Magic: He uses his armor as magical focus and needs to touch the subject of the spell in order it to work. Ice: He mainly uses this to cool down his plasma pistol in order to keep it in operating condition. Healing: He is able to heal moderate wounds Banishment: The magic to banish summoned creatures and objects Gravity: Can modify the gravity affecting a person or object. His genetic abilities are from straight from the Codex: Space marines so I just didn't make them up :).   |

It will be fun to RP with you again ^.^ And note, I'll have my first ever girl character in this RP, so bare through the experimental phase people ^.^;;; Name: Maximil Teracer Age: 378 Gender: Male Race: Elf Pic:  Bio: In his world, Maximil was an assassin. His job was to kill those ancients that were opposed to the Elf way of life. In his world, there is constant struggle. In his world, he wasn't treated as a living being... He was a tool, and no more. He served the King in killing, creating a thoughtless killer out of one of the most peaceful members of the sentient beings they call elves. Mzximil despised that he had this job, but it was the only way to live, only way to survive. When he discovered Infinity City, that was still the only thing he could do. He became a hitman for hire for a long time. Until that one incident... Weapon: A long curved blade named Nvradil (Meaning "poison" in his language) and three Kukri shaped knives names Tragora, Treceduil, and Truva (Destruction, Despair, and Death) Abilities: As an elf, he is extremely aware of his surroundings and is extremely agile and strong. He moves like a blur, and his swordplay is near perfect. His preferred method of killing is severing the nerve on a person's spine and stopping ther person's heart with one palm strike. Name: Kisarugi Mao Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Half Human, Half Angel Pic:  Bio: Mao is an orphan. When her mother had fallen in love and concieved with a mortal, she lost her immortality and died right after Mao was born. Her father had committed suicide in hopes he could be with her mother even in death. His selfish action resulted in Mao, who was born in Infinity City, crying and crying and crying until she lost her voice; until she lost the will to ever speak again. She grew up as a mute, being able to hear people, and wrote down whatever she meant. She was walking in the streets one day when a group of thugs tried to take her. An elf appeared from nowhere and killed them. However, he didn't kill them to help her, it was a job he had to do. To silence all witnesses, he walked over to Mao and raised his knife when suddenly, a voice cried out in his head, Stop! Mao had inherited some special powers from her mother, and she had inadvertently linked her mind with the elf's. He stood in shock at what he saw. Knowing that even though it could mean the end of him, he took her in as a little sister of sorts and cared for her. Weapons: None Abilities: She is mute, but she can communicate through Maximil since their minds were now linked. She could also hear the thoughts of others, making her nearly the most perfect spy. However, her weak body causes her to not be able to participate in any fighting. |

Name: Rictus Riverhall Age: 18 Gender: Male Race: Human Picture:  Abilities: Agile fighter and a good swordsman, but very protective of his younger sister, which makes her his major weakness. He compensates with a few demonic abilities. Bio: Parentless and new to Infinity City (relatively), his only companion for a long time was his sister. She's the most important thing to him, and he'll defend her to his dying breath. Intelligent, compassionate, deadly, and loyal to a fault, he will defend the things precious to him even at the cost of his life.He now has a few friends and acquaintances that are also trying to figure out the mystery of the city. He'll have a new lead soon enough, though. Weapon: onyx sword Abilities: Shadow Steps- Rictus shifts out of phase, teleporting several feet in a desired direction, and can be used in series to move long distances. Flight- Rictus is able to jump extraordinarily high, 30 feet with ease. Blackhole Rose- A black rose grows from Rictus's blood, which has two functions: As a physical weapon, the stem becomes whiplike and wraps around the target. Once the target is secured, massive thorns grow and impale the victim. The rose itself remains a closed bud, which can be used to impale, at least until it opens in the presence of more blood. When the rose opens, it creates a consuming vacuum that absorbs anything caught in it. Even Rictus has no idea where the things go. |
