Got word yesterday and its comfirmed there is an american remake of Deathnote... Cast: (you wont believe this) and this is all i know ZAC EFRON: LIGHT MYLEY CYRUS:...MISA those two are phail actors...so the movie is gonna suck  Part of the new age Gendou RP veterans: Kira, Rukia, KM Revolution, Smoker, Avian, L, and Ryu. |

I'm not even a fan of Death Note, I actually think it's pretty pretentious and dull, but seriously ZAC EFRON AND MILEY CYRUS. Are. You. F***ing me? That's worse than than the stars of DB Evolution and Cowboy Bebop combined. Get ready people, I think the American Death Note is going to be a trip through Disney World. You mean to say, that for a movie based on an anime series that depicts a teenager gaining a demon notebook with the power to kill anyone he wants, and abusing this power to kill just about everyone that looks at him funny, Hollywood decides that the actors best fit for this movie is the teenage girl pants wetting idol that is High School Musicals Zac Efron, and the 8 year old girls pop idol who dresses up in a wig for her performances Miley Cyrus? I. . . I just. . . I have nothing to say, I think Hollywood just bound and gagged Jade and Cynic, my lovable little consciousnesses that tell me what to hate and how much things suck. This triple attack of anime butchering has crushed my critical spirit, it's just too much. . . *wanders off*    |

But seriously there are so much better options for actors for the remake of the movie. Some who actually fit the part! Chase Crawford, Thomas Dekker and Gaspard Ulliel would make a better Light Yagami. Plus I have seen better ideals for the rest of the cast. We could all make better cast calling for the remake D: If we were the directors or whatnot in the making. currently CLOSED. Request as detailed as as you possibly can. In the Cowboy Bebop thread i am skeptical about how the film may turn out cause i believe the actors chosen for the role may actually pull it off. For this though it's a whole different story! Where the heck did they come up with Miley Cyrus & Zac Efron....WHO THE HELL IS THAT!!!???? The choices are so way out of the original characters that it's not funny. I believe they chose these two cause they are popular at the moment & that is the wrong way to go. Honestly i have to think about it on who can play the characters of Deathnote...of course you need someone charasmatic to play Light cause as the focal character he needs to capture the audience. With Zac Efron is Light all of a sudden going to break into a big musical number or what? And Miley Cyrus....ummmm NO! Even without seeing any promotional video or pics this definitely spells disaster in the making. Just cause i don't think they actually thought about doing a casting call or anything.  |
