Try to scan this website for VB.NET / ASP.NET codes in constructing forums...

www.http://www.planetsourcecode.com

But for me, its not ok to use VBScripts/VB.NET in making a good forum page. ASP also can be use to make a forum page, but I'm not using it because of security issues. PHP is the best option to be use to make a good forum because it is more secure and it is easy to connect any sort of database like mySQL, Oracle and Access.

If you're making a good forum site for your website using a free webhosting account, PHP, ASP, VBScript, Pearl, nor Javascript can't help you with that because some of the known webhosting sites doesn't support PHP, Pearl, ASP, or .NET web codes in a free account. You must register a premium account to have those functions.

But if you want to have a forum site account, try to sign in to other free forum hosting sites in the internet.

I agree with gendou. xD

Has anyone found any use for VB yet? I cant. xD

In any case, I would recommend those open sourced ones(SMF for example, but that one runs on PHP), if your forums is not for a commercial project.

I think we can't use VB.NET to make a forum, since it's work offline, and usually we use it to make an information system, database, games.
VB.NET can work online if both of computer have an application that work together like one computer for database and the other for input or output data, one for input data and the other for show the output.

You can make a forum using PHP, ASP, Pearl, Oracle, etc.

I'm using VB in college for my coursework. I don't think we can use VB to make a forum, but I'm not too sure. I've only made a game and some samples in my coursework.
