Not sure if anyone made a thread yet, but I didn't find anything in the search page. Anyone check out this series? It's adapted from the videogame. 3 episodes have been released with english subtitles so far. The animation isn't amazing, but it's pretty decent. The series is paced pretty well, and interesting overall (I have not played the game before). What do you guys think? Btw, does anyone else find Luke annoying? xDD;; [EDIT] Taken from Anime News Network: "Plot Summary: Luke fon Fabre, the spoiled son of a noble from the kingdom of Kimlasca-Lavaldear, has been confined inside his father's mansion ever since he was kidnapped seven years ago by a rival country, the Malkuth Empire. i watched it! i love the animation! XD lol luke...at 1st he's annoying but later he's cool (in the game) XD the art is kinda different... but it's still nice overall :D  |

love the OP. Luke is my hero, cuz he's bad*ss and a p*ssy at the same time, plus his hair's orange... awesome color... BUT... they chose the COMPLETE wrong voice actor for this guy 'cuz his voice is annoying... the artwork  is excellent... ever since late Spring 2008 anime episodes are being released HD... and i LOVE IT |

^___^ I'm watching it~ I'm a fan of the Tales game and even though I haven't played the game for Abyss, I still wanted to check it out. From what I've heard it's following the game pretty closely so good, so I guess that's a good indication. o.o -__- And...yeah. I find Luke kind of annoying. He's kind of whiny. Oh well, maybe it's all part of the character development. XD |

I'm more keen on the Tales of Phantasia OVA.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Supposedly, the Voice Actors are the same ones used in the video game. I would guess they mean the Japanese version, obviously.

Isn't Yuri Lowenthal, the English voice actor for Luke fon Fabre, fluent in Japanese? I think I read somewhere that he speaks English, German, French, Japanese and a little bit of Spanish. They could have always casted him for the role-- I personally like his voice better than this guy's. By the way, does anybody know if or when they'll post the ending theme for the TotA anime? I believe it's "Bouken Houkiboshi" by Kurumi Enomoto. |

........ isn't that what is was suppose to?? luke on game also annoying and whiny at the first but something changed him, and still make him a little bit whiny and annoying (but in good term) I found this anime interesting because when I played the game I always thought if this turn into anime, it would be great (for people who haven't finished the game wouldn't understand the greatness ^^)

in my perspective, char voice is bad(luke),cg is passible, story ok,art bad, but it isn't as bad as some others.

i like the theme song... The story is very similar to the game that i played..the characteristic Luke sure is one hell different in the beggining with the ending of it..

hmm...Tales of the Abyss is the only one of the new animes that came out recently that im watching (please excuse my english sentence structure - i suck at it) I reckon its pretty good, though if im able to get my hands on playing the game it would be much better. out of all the characters, i reckon Sync, Asch and Jade are the best (in my opinion). Hate Luke....need i say more?
