Here's another new anime this fall of 2008 from the awesome production team of JC Staff! To Aru Majutsu no Index~! From a light novel series written by Kamachi Kazuma and illustrated by Haimura Kiyotaka. The subs are out... The story is pretty interesting that starts with a boy meets girl plot. The story goes like this: Set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. Toma Kamijo's right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, or divine powers, but not his own bad luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. She turns out to be a nun from the Church of England, and her mind has been implanted with the Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum - all the magical texts the Church has removed from circulation. from: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5975 I think this will turn out great... i think this one will be one of my fave anime released in october after clannad and ef saw the first episode and index is so damn cute!

to bad that It had end with rather distasteful ending.. well some might love it.. but I prefer not touch it ^^ (i read the manga and found myself a nice story but rather have great resolve ending but it bitter sweet) .... hate bitter sweet ending (DEFINE YOUR TASTE!!!) ehm... well that is all IMO ^^

[@empo] Maybe it's because Kawada Mami sang it? This anime reminds me of Bleach + Chrno Crusade + Shakugan no Shana (heavily during the dark scene moments). This anime is gonna be pwnage, friggin' pwnage man. I can already tell I'm going to love this anime, though I think I'm already in love with this title. This anime has various elements from the three anime I said it reminded me of above here. There's surely going to be a lot of content (like Shakugan no Shana perhaps), but it's going to be interesting. There's still questionable stuff near the end of the episode, but it's really good for episode one. [EDIT] Oh, one thing I forgot to say was one funny part I laughed at, was when Toma first met Index, and he said: But then later I found out she basically is something like that, but not literally. I just laughed when he first said it, haha.

Saw the first episode of this yesterday, am LOVING it. <333 Totally my type of anime. And I agree, it's absolutely a mixture of those three titles. XPP The animation is amazing. /hails J.C. Staff. I love the dialogue. *points to DA's post* |

Yes, the artwork is very nice. You can tell it's SHONEN if you're used to seeing their anime. There's going to be romance in this anime, which is going to be nice. I wonder if it's going to be a long running episode, like, 50+ episodes or something, I'll have to check but who knows. I can't wait 'til we meet Kaori. She's banging! (￣▽￣)

Haha, I never said it was going to be 50+ episodes long. Just this series can turn into something like D.Gray-Man or something or Hagane no Renkinjutsushi if the manga has that type of content.

@DA yea that factor kinda reminds me to SnS xD just finished watching the 2nd episode, 2 thumbs up for J.C Staff for making such a good battle scene. lol look what we've found in "loli-sensei" room xD usa-mimi pajamas, a ton of smoke, and hunderds of beer cans xDD |

@ DA: I don't really remember the company for every single series, so I'm not sure if I've seen SHONEN's works or not. XD I probably have. Romance in shonen = pwnage. Hmmmm. if it's gonna be a long running series, I hope it doesn't drag with filler episodes. I doubt it'll happen though. Need to watch the second episode. >.< |

Agreed! Second episode was really rocking! As expected from JC Staff, nice fire visuals. Innocentius was awesome! The animation style is really like Shakugan no Shana. I feel sorry for Touma. He blames himself for what happened to Index. Touma looks a lot like Ikki from Air Gear. |

Just saw the second episode~! It's amazing what ppl can do with computer graphics nowadays...the fire scenes were awesome! This anime also reminds me of Erementar Gerad, along with the others mentioned earlier. :D And I agree, Touma does look like Ikki from Air Gear. xP He's another one of those male protagonists with spiky hair. xD I hope they'll explain Touma's powers later on in the series, cause I'm wondering how he got them. And if he was just born with them, then why? |

Saw episode two AND three just now, both awesome. Can't for episode four, the preview is pwnage! Anyways, to start off, episode two was nice. Already mentioned, the great animation and effects were great to see. That's totally Shakugan no Shana there. The more you see the OP, it totally feels like Shakugan no Shana, too. The style is the same as that anyways. He's really starting to get into this whole mage/psychic thing now. Pretty courageous of him to take on the huge flamed demon, Ino (for short :P). His relationship with Index is starting to adapt as well, and that's nice to see. Can't wait 'til we start seeing the other side characters. Should be fun. Episode three which I just finished a few minutes ago was awesome. Finally, see Kaori, who as I already mentioned before, is FRIGGIN' HOT!! Her "outfit", up close is amazing... O.O` In the end when Touma meets her, she uses her Runes to set up a barrier basically, but it's just like a Fuzetsu (Shakugan no Shana), but we're not sure of it's effects yet but people can't get in. Her katana is like the long one in Tenjou Tenge and she knows how to use it, for sure. Episode four should yet be another entertaining episode. The Index-Nagato Yuki dialog was kind of boring to be honest, but everything else was fine.
