Mirror's Edge

Expanded info here: Mirror's Edge

Familiar story, fresh new game play set out to be launched some time this year.

Trailer/gameplay

2nd trailer

The game itself is a morphed hybrid from some of the best genres of games: Sandbox/First person/action/shooting/platforming.
It revolves around a yet to be named city filled with things to jump off from, run walls off, climb, bunny hop, and other gymnastic-ish things that pleases your mind.

The character you get to play is Faith. Not much is known about her at the moment, so I guess Wiki can cover for that.

In my point of view, It's EA's/Dice's answer to Sierra's/Radical Entertainment's "prototype". (Successor of Assassin's Creed)

Nonetheless, this game will surely be on my waiting list along with Resistance 2 and Mercenaries 2.

Opinions and other thoughts/updates are welcome.

[Music being used for the trailer is by Alcorus, song is named "shine"]

Oh that E3 game based on "Free running"

Turning it into a First Person does spice the genre up

She looks abit like Lucy lu

It's not really an answer to anything, nor is it an FPS it's simply an action game that uses a first person view. It looks incredible and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

If frat says it's kinda like Assassin's Creed, then this will be on my look-out.
I think I can squeeze this into my list, even though I'm of teh RPG type.

Although I do wanna actually try it out, I did hear it gets boring and repetitive.
Got the OST like two days ago, and it's decent, though can't really judge it.

The "Still Alive" remixes are fun to listen to, not sure which is my favorite (Junkie or Teddybears),
though the beginning of the Armand Van Helsen remix version is so awesome.

It was a good game, but it was really short and lacked any replay ability.

I rented it one week, had it for 7 days before it was due back. I had the main story complete in 5 hours. The runners bags don't unlock anything, so there's no point in playing the game again unless you want more Trophies/Achievements.

The time trials are okay, but not too interesting. They come down to playing a trial over and over figuring out ways to cut time off here and there.

I find the biggest problem with the game is the fact it is so linear. You have set paths to follow all the time and can't usually go very far off of those paths. I can't say for sure if Open World would have made the game better, but I know I would have a lot more fun using Parkour to climb stuff and get away from people if the world was open and free for me to explore. Otherwise it just feels like Mirror's Edge did, rinse and repeat motions.
