My most anticipated series for the summer. Yes i know there are more recognized series available (Zero no Tsukaima, Ikki Tousen, Sekirei..etc.) but i'm a visual novel freak. Anyways more about Koihime. Similar to Ikki Tousen in storyline where they use the famous setting & characters of 'Romance of the 3 Kingdoms' as the basis of the series. The only exception is that Koihime uses an all female cast to portray these historical characters. There is one execption which i will leave cause of spoilers. The names of the characters use the Japanese spelling ala Ikki Tousen but if you have played "Dynasty Warriors" the weapons the girls use will look similar. There are close to 30 characters in play in Koihime the majority of them female. So far the first episode has pretty good animation & the battle featured was nicely done. The opening & (very cute) ending theme by fripSide are nice to listen too. fripSide has done mostly songs for visual novels which is nice to see them more mainstream. lol, Looks promising to me xD All Girls = More Fanservice Kinda reminds me of Touhou.. Oh wait.. There's a guy in touhou But I Forgot the name.. Meh.. BTW, Is the VN of Koihime by any chance.. Is an Eroge Izumo? Seems Like I have heard the VN Somewhere before Edit: Okay,, Nevermind that xD I Remembered few months ago my Friend Recommending me an Eroge that has the same time as Dynasty Warrior but all of the chars are girls except for the main chars Im Soooooooooooo Gonna DL The VN!!! Edit the 2nd: Oookay.. It's really not as easy as it's sounded xD I Did a quick research.. and.. Who's the creepy muscular dude? o.o He's scaring me  |

Th subbed version is now available from SRN...so far they are the first group to fansub, expect maybe more groups later on. @ Renma-san Yes, Koihime is indeed an eroge visual novel, installed it takes up about 5.75GB. As you can see it is a pretty large 'game'. Finding a torrent is easy but downloading it may take some time. I assume since the anime is available there may be some new torrents for the game. The story is the early stages of the Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, where they get rid of the bandits. In Story mode of Dynasty Warriors the first chapter is where the series starts off with, mostly using the 'Shu' scenario against the Yellow Turban stuff. The main character of Koihime (Chouun/Kannu) is a take on Guan Yu (if i remember correctly their weapons are similar)...Chouhi i think is Zhang Fei. As for he 'creepy muscular dude', personally i don't think he will make an appearance in the anime...if he did well that would be a suprise for me. In the Dynasty Warriors anology you wouldn't believe who he is....the clue is check his name & compare it to probably one of the hottest characters in Dynasty Warriors :P |

I'm going to wait a bit until my regular sources puts this series up on their site, but other than that, I'm definitely checking this series out. Can't wait. :3

man this is gonna be an interesting anime i want to know what will lu bu (ryofu housen) look like but is it really all girl cast in it and no male protagonist at all(is it gonna be more like yuri?)?  |

Saw the first episode; it's not that bad really, but it doesn't like grab me out of my seat just yet. Kanu is one hot girl though, and it seems we meet more hot girls later on, too! This anime has that Chinese theme to it, which is nice. That BGM piece where Kanu fell into the whole those kids tricked her into hopping into was pretty nice. It's weird, but I feel like I've seen an anime similar to this one already, just can't pick it out... Also, are any Negima!? seiyu's involved with this anime? The one bandit near the beginning who said "aniki" reminds me of Chamo-kun from Negima!?. Or maybe it was just their "aniki"s sounding very similar. I just re-watched Negima!? (up to 23) really recently, so the voices are kinda stuck in my head still. Kanu's seiyu reminds me of Ayaka's from Negima!? and I'm not sure about Rin Rin. Well, I could be wrong with this entire hypothesis. I'll see if I follow the series or not. The ending theme song was really something though, in a good way. >:3

I've juz watched the 1st episode, hmmm....the girls aren't as much as in the game, there are only about 18, while in the game, there are 30... And there's another point....WHERE'S THE MALE CHARA!!?? well....I expected that this anime will be a "harem anime" but..well...maybe..there will much yuri scenes.... hmm....well, I like kanu, with her tsundere face n dynamite boobs...but again, if they tried to make some comedy anime, they didn't get my attention...  |

@ Aoi-san Only a few of the girls have been shown so far, but if you check the anime website and look under the staff there you will see that 26 characters will be featured. The male character will be shown later. In the opening credits you will notice the 'main' male character in it. If you know your 'Romance of the 3 Kingdoms' history (or Dynasty Warriors) than you will realize who the male character is. The game starts out pretty light-hearted but as you continue playing it get much more serious. I'm unsure if the anime will follow suite but i'm hoping it doesn't stray away from being too 'campy'. @ DAngel-san Yes it indeed has that Chinese theme to it cause it like i said follows the famous story of 'Romance of the 3 Kingdoms', the end of the Han Dynasty & the 3 kingdoms, finally resolving in the unification of china (hence the name). So far the seiyuu's are not from the Negima! series, the voice of Kan'u has done relatively select anime series like Demonbane. Her most well-known voice is probably Tamaki from Da Capo. As for the voice of Chouhi (rin rin) her seiyuu is even more selective. The most recognizable for me is Kikka from the OVA Shadow, if you never heard of it, well it is sorta like a hentai OVA. @ aokame-san Actually they have already shown Lu Bu's character in the series...albiet she hasn't done anything in the series directly. She is shown very briefly in the opening sequence. In the ending sequence though she's the one at the very end who puts out her hand & Kan'u gave her a meat bun. Yes..that is the Koihime's version of the famous Lu Bu. Here's a better pic of her...see her weapon? Compare it to Dynasty Warriors & you'll notice similarites.  |

Blonde drill is the seme, side ponytail is the uke lolz nice ending just as expected... Liu Bei (fake?) got a nice boat!! xD can't wait for the OVA... they said that it will be very different from the TV series...  |

the movie have a lot YURI scenes.. cao-cao and zhao-yun has a "naughty" role.. so much different with the real history...

It was an okay series, i was expecting something more similar to the visual novel. Which was much more violent at times than the cutesy way they did the anime. I still liked it but again was wanting a little more. Luckily they announced another version will be made & stating it to be much different than the TV series. Hopefully it'll follow the visual novel more. BTW if anyone is wondering the visual novel had 'You' as a regular student get transported back in time to the age of the 3 Kingdoms & eventually change the path of history. |

I love this anime, it is one of the best animes yet, i am still on episode 6. I hope the ending doesn't suck  |
