Why is there no official thread for this marvelous and terrific manga/anime/live action series?! *_* i would presume that anyone who watched/read Nodame agree that this series captured their hearts. I first watched the anime and then read the manga at the chapter where the anime ended. The anime was really enjoyable. The story is simple but you will never get bored with it. Every episode is hilarious. Nodame never fails to make me laugh and every character in this series. There's good character development and each character has unique qualities. The colors are light just like honey and clover's. The music particularly is the best asset of this series. you don't have to be a fan of classical music to appreciate the songs. You'll just naturally fall in love with it. Nodame fans, unite! :P |

| The Anime pales in comparison with the Live-Action, not to mention the Anime doesn't even "end". |

Waaaahhhh!! Nodame Cantabile!!! ^.^ I haven't finished the anime but I loved its live action. And I agree that you'll never be bored at watching the series. *nods I love Chiaki-sempai and Noda especially when Chiaki hits Noda err I mean it's hilarous. Another plus point is the music indeed. ^.^v It's anime reminds me too of Honey and Clover(I love that anime!). ^^ I enjoyed watching the live action so I think the anime would be better.. hihi!! :3 |

I've watched the live action, planning to catch the anime soon. There's also the 2 episode special follow-up of the live action shown during the new year's that in my list to watch XD It was really enjoyable, and Jaydel-san was right, you dun have to be a fan of classical music to naturally come to like the music in the series. I even went so far as to search for the original composition of the ED for the live action XD It was called Rhapsody in Blue, composed by Gershwin XD Did you know the live action won some Japan media awards? And the actress playing Noda Megumi won best actress as well. XD

| The two specials were fuckin awesome, though not as epic as the ending of the Live-action TV. Yes, it was so awesome I had to swear to get my point across. |

yes Nodame is great. both anime and real action. I'm not yet read the manga. hey, try Suemitsu and the Suemith - Allegro Cantabile ~ Piano and String Orchestra. (edit: I'm not sure if it available here) its awesome. |

hahaha i rewatched the anime series last night out of boredom hahaha and yeah it rocks! its one of the best music themed anime i have seen hahaha lotsa praises for the live action huh...might give it a try ^^ |

*-* Nodame Cantabile thread, zomg! =3 I really, really liked the anime. The animation for the instruments was awesome. XD The characters were so infectious. -.- They actually show the live action on my local Asian TV channel. I guess it was ok.... I still like the anime better. ^^;; |

Ahaha..Nodame Cantabile ish awesome ! Both anime and Jdorama ! First, I watched the J-dorama, very funny and continue with the anime. Never read the manga but I think I will since I have heard from my friend that the story still continue. I just finished watched the dorama for Nodame Cantabile special, the relationship between Noda and Chiaki become get stronger..can't wait to watch the continuation story! And I luuuv the 2nd ending song of the anime..Sagittarius from Suemitsu and Suemith (^-^) |

I watched the anime, read the manga, the j drama, and then the movie! also played the nodame game on the ds! am i hardcore nodame fan or waht? I was so happy when Chiaki and Nodame was getting married. i fell to teary eyes  |

Only watched Jdrama but planning to watch the anime and read the manga. The series was so funny and every episode will make me laugh to death. The last episode of the live action made me into tears seeing them performance. |

Nope... they're not married yet. The manga is not even done yet. I think that's the game's storyline. I can't really say something about the live action since I haven't watch it. i have it in my computer though... escape, Allegro Cantabile piano and string orchestra? i'll try to look into it. |

the live action i think is much better, but when i see the posts at utube, trhe animation on playing the piano is quite fluid - but the characters, well, i think is rushed. overall, the storyline is good, very original and unique, u will fall in love for sure with nodame, imagine a guy like chiaki's attitude melted with nodame's love. |

I got pretty addicted to the anime when it was being prodcasted. I'm sooo glad there will be a second season. I need to get watch the live action when my computer stops being a pain. |

ricci, the reason why the character designs seems rushed is not the anime's fault, it's the manga's. The anime adapted what was in the manga. I liked the anime because it follows the story as well as the character designs faithfully. The They did a nice job of adding more life to the series by animating it. The manga could've been better if it were not for the crude drawings. :( |

@Jaydel-oh i see, if that is that is almost the same art as the original manga - arrest my case - the anime is good and stayed true to its form. its 'style' right? hehe (like Fruits basket or those old school shoujin mangas). but the storyline is very good.since it is a story that involves music, u cannot hear music coming out from a manga right? anime i think is the way to go for Nodame. but i got hooked at live action, so if theres a season 2, or special, ill watch it. no need to watch the anime for me. for the spoiler teaser that 'they got married' that i have to see for myself! |
