I'm new to anime club at school, what ya do there?

It's horrible that it opens only Wednesday. I was going to the club but it was canceled, so gotta wait for another 7 days... =( So yeah, for those who's in anime club, what do you do there basically?  |

My school will never have such a club. To them, it'd be a waste of time, offensive (somehow), or completely irrelevant or school inappropriate. If it's an "anime" club, most likely you discuss "anime" related topics about "anime." "Anime" films, "anime" characters, "anime" companies, etc. And maybe, if nobody's so sure about it, the "OVA" or "OAV" can be explained. ^_^

NOT FAIR. Same as DA, I wish my school had an anime club >:( Well...since I've never been in one, I wouldn't know, but I guess DA's suggestions are probably what you'll do. |

HIKS i hope my college got that, but they just got nippon club, talking about basic of Japanese cultures and little about anime and manga (since they assume anyone that enter nippon club already know manga and anime TT) sad anyway just like DA said talk about anime and all that probably

At my school, they basically just...well...watch anime.^^;; I don't usually go because I don't really like the stuff they show. It's during lunch in the Japanese language class room so they pretty much just eat, watch and discuss. =P |

| Our school had one last year...we basically just watched anime while eating lunch, but not everybody recognized all the anime so they kept complaining. :( |

Wait ! Anime club (well, i was in a club named Nihon Club) didn't always watching anime all days. In my club, i study japanese language & japanese culture. While once in a week, we hold a free anime movie theater for all student. And once in year, all of the member take Noryokushiken test in Japan Foundation..... And now, it become big enough that the Nihon Club already held a Nihon Bunkasai last year.... Well i cant deny that the topic of discussion in the group will not too far from anime/manga.   |

| Yeah I also wish my school had an anime club. This year I'm president of just about everything: senior class, honors club, student council, lol. So I asked the principal if I could start one. He said he'd think about it, which probably is just a roundabout way of saying "No" |

Well, I was a member of my school's anime club. I quitted the club because all we did was just...watch anime that we didn't even recognize. When I first joined, I was actually hoping for art contests or discussions... Simply put: you just watch animes and fool around. |

The anime scub at my school, from what I heard did nothing but had it's members playing their psps and reading yaoi... Then, apon the principal looking up anime on google images, came apon, uh, "mature" anime styled images. With a cherry red face, she disbanded our anime club soon after... I never got the chance to try it for myself... -_-' EDIT: Though I will always remember how she opened up when she came to disband the anime club. Her Famous words: I cant belive it, anime is just another word for animated po*n!?   |

well, my school have Anime Club but i cant stay after school =.= so... my friend in that club though ^^... he told me, usually they discuss about anime lol and this weekend they can go out to some place << forgot what it call XD... >> and hang around w/ kids from anime club from other High Schools ^^  |
