Sam Fisher vs Master Chief

Ok, guys I'm serious here. I'm currently playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent on my XBOX360 and i've played HALO 1 and 2 on PC/XBOX360. So i've played awesome 2 games-series with 2 totally awesome male characters with totally awesome jobs and totally awesome voice actors and now i'm kinda stuck in a dilemma here. I just can't decide who is more awesome. The Master Chief (John 117) or Sam Fisher? What do you think and why? Well then, i'll head out for my last nightshift this week (w00t!) See ya...  |

| It depends on the environment. If the two are in a place with plenty of hiding areas and is somewhat dimly lit, then Sam Fisher would likely win. If the area is wide open, well lit, and has few or no hiding places, then Advantage => Master Chief |

Yeah, but you forgot that John has a body armor with shielding technologie. How do you think will Sam get through that, unless he finds a combat rifle and a particle sword? And i bet the MC is quite skilled at covered infiltration and advanced tactics (just think about how hard legendary mode is) ;) Also, it's not about letting the MC and Fisher fight each other, it's about who is cooler, But hold that thought guys, it sounds interesting ;) Ok, I came up with something. Fisher is cool for more reasons than the Chief but the Chief still seems to be on the same lvl of coolness like Fisher does, you know what I mean? |

No contest, Sam Fisher. I've never though Master Chief to be even remotely cool. Fisher is just better all over. As for the MC vs. Sam debate, don't get into technology differences when comparing them. If you took away MC's shield thing and Fishers gadgets and just got them to fight it out either in a brawl or with weapons, Fisher would win.    |

Hey, don't forget that the MC is still a Cyborg. otherwise he wouldn't be Spartan 117. Spartans are the human counterpart to the Sangheili of the Covenant (ok, they are not in the Covenant enymore). Oh and @ DA: When you join the military and get your hand-to-hand combat training, you'll learn that your elbow is one of the most handy parts of your body when it comes to melee combat ;) |

well, I agree with megazero, it depends on the environment. Sam is better at stealth than MC. But MC has better gadget. O.o OMG I can't decide it.....  |

@ DA: Why bothering pulling out your Sword when you can easily smash in your oponents face with your elbow or the butt of your weapon? ;) BTW, I would have loved to see the MC use Combat Knifes in Halo, but well... |

Lets see.. im gonna give the cool point to MC.. Coz.. Well. He got this helmet thing on his head that NEVER seem to show his real face or anything close to it (unless he did in Halo3, in which case i dont own an X360)... It gives off coolness and mystery i think... And by the looks of it MC does have the advantage on a physical brawl. Considering that he is a Spartan Cyborg, and has quite some power packed moves (if u tried playing him in Dead or Alive, for the X360 EXCLUSIVE).. Sam may be skilled in stealth and such, but MC has experience in that as well. Including the fact that he also has to fight against Covenent Elites with como suits, so experience in eliminating stealthy targets should give him an advantage!  Claimed |

Can he give off some upper cut here? A dropkick maybe? XP Combat knives would've been interesting, but considering Halo, it'd be hard to take down those huge giants with just a combat knife. Nightvision is pretty cool, too, and Chief has that flashlight. It was hard near the ending of Halo 2, since everything was foggy. D:

As for the Brutes (Jiralhanae), you just have to know where to stick the pointy things :P And Knifes could always come in handy, when you have to fight against Jackals (Kig-Yar). And after all, knifes have been used by the military for decades and proofed themself pretty handy in combat AND as tools. (wanna see the german combat knife, wanna see, wanna see? :P) |
