It's NOT PSP 2. It's jsut a slimmed down version. And when I say slimmed down, it's only slimmed down. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6173974/index.html Do you, PSP owners and people interested in it, think it's worth getting? I'd prefer to wait until a PSP 2 with 2 joysticks, if you ask me. Doesn't matter how long it takes. |

What's with Sony making things more slim? They did it to the PS2 and now the PSP? I think it's dangerous to make these consoles more slim. Easier chance of breaking and they still cost a lot of money. What's the point in investing in a "more slim" PS2 when you have the regular PS2 or a "more slim" PSP when you already have a PSP (which is fine enough as it is). Personally, it just seems like a wasted idea after the PSP released months ago! If they released it during the same time the PSP would first release, that'd be even better.

You could say the same thing about the 6-axis analog stick on the PS3. Why are the colors even the same like a DS Lite? Sony's not making wise decisions by slimming their products this way. I at first trusted Sony because they did things simple (ie, don't have to buy so many optional things and so on). But they waited too long to now release this. At first, I thought they did things once and for all. But come to think of it, they've always slimmed down their products. PS ONE, PS2, and now PSP. Might not be too long until PS3 is slimmed. |

psp released about almost 2 years ago. it just didnt get popular until people started putting homebrew games on there

I really don't see why people are talking about the slim versions in a negative way. it's mainly for the people who haven't gotten said system yet, they don't expect you to go out and buy the slim version. Calm down. In my opinion, at least Sony ADDED things to this redesign like the ability to watch/look at/play movies, pictures and games on a TV with minimal loss in quality. Shifting the switch to make it harder to accidentally hit and the memory upgrade. I mean, they released the DS Lite and basically the only differences were a smaller design and a brighter screen. (Speaking of which, I didn't see anyone whining or taking shots at Nintendo when they brought out the DS Lite, hmm I guess Nintendo fanboys like to spam PSP threads more than a little.) I'm going to save up and buy one of these new designs (then convert my old one for homebrew) because I'm really liking the TV thing.    |

Hopefully the Translation feature is still in it. I would love to get my hands on that and just speak into it, let the translation be heard, go on my way. It looks somewhat promising. I just might buy it because of that. Other than that, meh, it looks...somewhat the same.   |

NO!!! I dun like things slimmer... I dun want that thing to broke into two pieces... but if there will be more benefits... I will just buy** one together with a hard metal case... haha

they should have done this way sooner. either when the ds lite came out or within a year of release of the psp. not almost 2 years later

y do people always diss sony when they make some thing practical for people. the psp is fat and heavy and pulls my pants down which isnt good so Sony make this version for people like me i think. And it has longer battery life because it uses less power? and in japan you get a tv tuner that lets you watch japanese tv. id get it if i lived in japan. I recently bought a 8g mem stick for the psp from japan only to find out my US laptop wont read the thing so im upset. Ill sell it off to some guy in japan or i might spend cha-ching to get a japanese laptop which is like 300,000 yen i think? well there are people like me out there that like to replace their stuff with better versions like lets say someone had a 1gig ipod and then sells it and saves money to buy a 60 gig ipod. something like that. I barely use my DS so i probably go with sony which gives me music, vids, and lets me do homebrew on their sophisticated hardware unlike the DS. Do u see anyone opening up their DS' to make it light up and stuff? its just a cheap system for cheap little kids...  |

ok i have that one...it's ok and all. and i like how it can fit my pocket...and it's not too heavy. but it's fragile...way too fragile. one wrong move and you lost some cash worth... and i haven't try the playing with tv stuff yet. but i don't really care that...i mean it's portable so it should be played anywhere. XD |

i think weight wise its better cause the fat one used to drag my pants down to the point my undy's would show. homebrew wise its not that great. and the analog is so fragile its not great for fighting games. also the gate door insides look flimsy not that i need it cause i only use it for movies and music. once in a while ill dl some game. oh and i bought the 16gb stick for 300 bucks.. my friend got his 8 gig for 400 from some us store, i bought mines in japan. my vaio reads it so im good on music. waiting for Bleach Heat the Soul 5!!! i hear arancars use release forms. yay |
