I used to dream of being the world's most wanted serial killer, actually more to the assassin type...hihi...

if the serial killer aims on doing justice and kill the badass (like Kenshin Himura) then he's a good one.

but logically thinking, killing for wuteva the reason could be is absolutely ridiculous. you can't stop cruelty by treating the bad people brutally, instead u'll end up worst than the one you feel disgusted at...

dun kill_even urself

No one has got the right to kill. The one who takes the right to kill is nothing but a murderer. As regards Kenshin Himura (you mean Battosaï, the real one, I believe): he did not kill people because they were bad people, he killed them because they were not the same mind as him. That's all.

@ Nate & me:

Kenshim Himura is a fictional character. I was referring to real people. Animation cels do not count, therefore, I will not comment on this. Also, I did not proclaim serial killers right to kill.

@ Nate(exclusively): Congratulations! You figured out what "serial killer" means. Yes, serial killer means "murderer". Actually, before anyone tries to assert their obviously much greater intelligence by correcting me, it means "one who kills repeatedly for a reason". As to this, I do not mean a "good" reason, whatever that is as good is in the eye of the beholder, I simply mean a "reason". Whether to bring their mother back to life, rid the world of sin, or to portray an impotent God and destroy all those not in His image, a serial killer(murderer) is a serial killer(murderer) and it is only right in their own minds and like-minded individuals.

Isn't there an anime or comic on that? where theres some person who kills serial killers and murderers? I heard about it at the comic-con. and to tell the truth, serial killers are still bad in a sense. who are we to play god and deliver death upon those who deserve it? a Serial killer, killing in the name of good, is
"nothing but a murderer. Nothing more. Nothing Less"

Practically, the very idea of killing a person is bad itself. So, no matter what the serial killers kill, it's still bad.

Unless you count the mindless psychotic ones, all serial killers have a motive behind all the killings, whether it's to create a better world or to attain his own selfish reasons. Whether you want to consider them bad or good, that's totally upto you. You kill bugs and hunt animals and that's okay because you're not a bug or a wild animal, you're a human. So now you go blaming the serial killers because they're killing your own kind. Don't you think that's unjustified?

Since there's nothing like justice and morals left in the world, it's better if someone took the initiative to eliminate the whole population and start to build the world from scratch.

@ emphysema:
Why is this even being brought up again? Yes, this world is a rotten mess. This is due, largely in part, to the fact that, for the last 10-15 years, we've had politicians who have no interest in being a leader nor any discernible leadership qualities. I understand the supposed need for a Light Yagami or Nate River (Near) of sorts but, for that to happen, you must understand that there has to be an altruistic person of considerable intelligence who is willing to put more than it all on the line for the good of mankind. If there was anyone in this world like that, they would have done that job already and we would not be suffering anymore. The problem with this is that all humans have thoughts and their own feelings. No one can properly give this world the attention it deserves.

@ no one in particular: As long as there are humans on Earth, there will be good people who think they could do this job. However, also as long as there are humans on Earth, there will be those "ignorant a**holes" who were taught from a young age to think only of themselves. With the existence of these people, you must realize, there will be conflict between them and those good-hearted people who donate money to charity and only give of themselves. It is in the rift of the conflict between good and evil that serial killers are created. While I agree with the idea that, in order to make the world better, we should start with children, you must consider that with children come parents. With parents, you might find that some are of the "ignorant a**hole" type who will tell their children not to listen to the words of the "good-hearted" people.

Yes, this world is flawed. We SHOULD start trying to clean up the mess began by our fore-fathers. Yes, the way to make this world better is to teach kids the correct way (there is no right and wrong, only different choices) but, how can we teach children how to make the world a better place in their future if the main focus of schooling is calculating probability and learning about the past so we can all see how far we've fallen.

This world will be a better place when we get a leader in the White House. I leave you with a quote.

If we were not all so interested in ourselves, life would be so uninteresting that none of us would be able to endure it.

'bad' is a subjective term. if we lived in a society where killing bad people is good (never heard of such a society but just roll with it), then it would be acceptable. praised, even.

it depends on the general populations opinion.

Judecca, it sounds like you believe in Super Heroes..XD

Serial Killers kill people just because they want to. If I would become one, my only reason would be: "Because I felt like it."

FEAR. >D

@emphysema: Honestly, I cannot say I believe or disbelieve in anything at all. Don't you believe in things you cannot see? Like god? Have you ever seen god? I doubt it. One would have to be a superhero to fix all that's wrong with this world of ours, though.

Serial killers that kill other killers/murderers....is there even such a 'thing'

Even so..they're still bad. What rights do they have to determined life or death of that particular killer/murderer
Let law deal them with justice.

the government is a serial killer. ending people's lives with eternal monotony in prison. death by confinement.

nah. just unsuccesfully twisting things.

actually, the government kinda is. death penalties and all that good stuff.

Well i think it really depends on the situation. If the serial killer is doing it for a good reason it still doesn't make it right. But it does make it seem a bit more reasonable. Just think about it. If the serial killer was killing people that poison other people wouldn't you feel like you have to do something? Im not saying that killing is the right way to resolve it but every person has their own way of resolving things. Although i still feel like it is a crime i could sympathize with the killer. On the other hand if the Serial Killer was just killing for the sake of doing it it would be considered a bad thing for me. It depends on the situation and how it is viewed by others.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Death is never ended in a cycle by adding on more death.

You stop a serial killer by putting them behind bars, you stop them by stopping them from doing what they do. All that a serial killer who kills serial killers accomplishes is adding yet another murderer to the books.
