This is a must watch movie anime.. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo also known as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time... For Those who haven't watch... its about a girl named Makoto Konno is a teenage school girl who spends most of her time playing with Chiaki and Kosuke. Makoto's relationship changes when she gains the gift to slip back into time and retrace her steps because of a certain turn of events. However, once she learns the way to make use of the ability, she uses it to satisfy her day-to-day desires and discontent of everyday life -- with unhappy results. its a great anime.. those who have watch what are ur views? i would give 5+ star... two thumbs up... |

I can't believe nobody has replied to this thread...unless there's a double somewhere (which I didn't find). But yes, I saw this yesterday, and I agree that it was beautiful. I loved it. I really hope there will be a sequel...the ending wasn't satisfying enough for me. >_< |

Oh I've seen this around on my ddL sources, maybe I oughta take a look see, yes? Actually, I read about it when it released, just never decided to check it out. Actually, maybe I have it somewhere on my computer, haha! :D

I really like the movie though it seemed to yearn for a continuation or something (dang I need to read the prequel light novel >_<)

It'll be nice if they had a sequal~~ I wanna see her and Chiaki (?? did I get the right guy? I watched it wayyyyyyy back in the cinemas so I kinda forgot which name belongs to who) back together! The show was so funny and touching!!  |

one of the best anime movie out there i really love the OST, it match perfectly with the story

@ DA: You should watch it. it's about school life, so it's probably your type of anime. ;) @ dark: Prequel novel? there's a prequel for the novel? @_@ I need to check that out. @ Engel: yeah, Chiaki. XD love Chiaki~ <3 Me tooooo~~ But let's not reveal any spoilers ne? :3 This is the first time that I've really wanted a sequel for a movie. I think it'd be reasonable if they did. |

Zomg, I saw this movie...last year I think? :3 I love it, full of emotion and realism of what teenagers think. (at least I think) *spoilers* Yeah, I kind of wanted Makoto and Chiaki to end up together, but at the same time not. (Sorry, it's been awhile since I've seen the movie so I can't clearly remember what happened) I think some of the meaning may have been lost if they ended up together because I think one of the messages being conveyed in the movie was that we have to be responsible for the things that we do. If Makoto got everything she wanted in the end, it really wouldn't contribute to the growth of her as a character and would just show everyone that we should just kind of get everything we want even if we make the wrong decisions. XD K, enough preaching. I'm still in my essay mode since I just wrote an essay. |

*pokes the essay writing Jow* Yeah... it'll sure be nice if there can be a coninuation. At first... the running numbers in the movie reminded me of Matrix and I was like "darn! I sure hope is not gonna be boring!" (Sorry... non matrix fan here...) But I end up really liking the plat a lot... A WHOLE LOT! It has its fair share of laughter, tears, fun, excitement and keeps you at the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next at times... Those who haven't watch this should really go have a watch... suitable for all young and old~ |
