Good Rpg For PS2?

Since beating KH2, I've been without a good rpg for the PS2? Does anyone have any suggestion??

First of all, tell us the type of Rpgs u like, then we can tell u names of games =3 it all goes back to personal referance really I believe... FF series usually have good storylines, not as much humorous really Nipon Ichii games are usually humorous and fun to play like Disgaea I and II, La Pucelle, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, etc... Wild Arms I, II, III, IV All have their interesting battle systems though it is turnbased.  |

These are the good RPG's I've played on PS2. You might want to note that none of them are really action RPG's except for one. (I typically hate action RPG's.) Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 (It's rated M, might want to look out for that.) Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana & Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm (Good games, but I wouldn't recommend Atelier Iris 2.) Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (The only action RPG game I have, it's one of the rare action RPG's that I actually enjoyed personally.) Wild Arms 4 (Not bad, it's got a HEX battle system, something new at least.)    |

so you're a KH type? That's action RPG to be specific. So, with that I think you like to play Okami, or if you are a World of Mana fan, try Dawn of Mana Or maybe Onimusha? These have similarities to Kingdom Hearts' battle system but just don't be overly convinced with the game reviews you see. Try things first if you think the game pleases you.  |

As for my preferences, I'm not a fan of turn based, but i like if it has a good story. Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

ok, rpg's mmmhh... i will say some good games (for me n_n), emmm Kingdon hearts 2 is a really good one, but not the only , --Valkyrie profile 2 Silmeria is a great rpg, the grafics, characters and story are beautiful; --Tales of the Abyss maybe dont have great grafics, but is a good option, the game battle mode is adictive and is very, very long game with some hidden special features; --Hack G.U. vol. 1, oh my.. this game dont have great grafics, end is really short one, only tree doungeons in all game but men, is really adictive, the bad point: the entire game is in 3 games, -_-, a big problem if you dont have money; --Grandia III, the game system is diferent from the others rpg´s; --Odin sphere, the new atlus rpg, i dont play it yet, but i heard is a really masterpice (I think like legend of mana); --Final fantasy XII, i love it.. a great rpg.. well, i think is all,, jjajaj............... se ya¡ |

Not a fan of turnbased? Yea, then I would suggest... Onimusha like one said Final Fantasy 12 like another said, it isn't turnbased like others Any tales game, it's never turnbased Growlanser Generations, or one of their games, their pretty interesting If u have a gamecube, go ZELDA!~! Hahahaha, play some DDR d00d Harvest moon? lolages, harvesting rpg hahaha Magna Carta...the battle system is sorta turnbased, yet sorta not as well, it's interesting but after a while...though most battle systems are the same, but in this u feel like, it gets repetitive. |

Something similar to Kingdom Hearts.... There's Dark Cloud 2...another action oriented RPG. Kinda old now but was critically acclaimed when it was released. Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria : Sort of turnbased but the battle system really is exciting & not just buttom-mashing. Radiata Stories & Star Ocean 3: Wasn't a big fan of the game but the battle system is in real-time just like Star Ocean 3. Other titles: FF 12, Grandia series, Rogue Galaxy, Tales series, Legend of Mana series, Ys series (Ark of Napishtim)...etc.  |

Ok, I know this is slightly different, but which game do you think will be better, ff12 for the ps2, or ff12: rev. wings for the ds?

Dude, I so wish Rev. Wings would friggin come out for the us!~! Ya.... Well, it depends, do u want to play a good game portably, or a good game with good graphics non portably and...with a different battle looks |

Valkyrie Profile:Silmeria is good...I really like the battle system Play Final Fantasy X if you like classic battle system plus the story is so good.. Oh yeah..Tales of Lagendia is fine as well its a button mashing when it comes to battles and the I think the graphic is nice to see.  |

@mr. tie: Rev Wings is slated to come out in late 2007 in the US. (I believe November). @Honey's Lover: Parents don't like M rated games, but i want to play DMC.
