My new RP, first one since I got back to posting. (I'm working on a different name by the way, don't really like the one right now.^^; If you have suggestions that would be great.) Setting: Modern day. Tokyo (Because everything happens in Tokyo.XD) Story: A set of strange stones was discovered over the years, throughout the world. Studies on these stones came up with nothing until a fourth stone was discovered, after being brought to the others a massive surge of energy was triggered causing the stones to vanish and scattering 9 nearby books to unknown locations. After this display of power and magical ability, news slowly reached to several organizations have began to search for both the books which had been scattered and the stones which had vanished, believing that they hold tremendous power that could be harnessed for any purpose. Profile: Your character is the owner of one of the books which has been scattered, however your not a regular person of course. You have the rare ability to use the book and it's magical powers. I won't set any spells to any particular book, instead you are allowed to create your own spells and name them (if you want to give them a name), the only thing is you have to explain it, you can't just create a spell that blows guys up, destroys anything, god like stuff in other words. When creating a spell just use your head and don't go too far with it. Name: Age: Gender: Origin Country: Appearance: (Description, picture or both, doesn't matter.) Book and Symbol Color: (Whatever color you want. I'll have a picture of the symbol on the cover of the books up later. For now, think of it like a book from Zatch Bell with the weird design on the front. You can have the same color as someone else, but either the symbol color or the book color must be different, yours has to be different than the others in some way.) Bio: You can if you want, it really doesn't matter too much. Rules: -You can create or do almost anything in terms of spells, but it should work out in an explainable way. Don't take it too far. -Keep in mind if your book is destroyed somehow, or you don't have it, you can't cast spells. So just keep that in mind. -You get tired from using spells, and you are human so you do have your limits. Name: Ark (for now, anyway) Age: 16 Gender: Male Birthplace: America Description: Around six feet tall, messy blond hair, in shape, but not overly muscled. Book Color: Dark Blue Symbol Color: Silver Perhaps it's bio-time: Both of his parents are dead, his father lost to pneumonia, and his mother refused to eat or take care of herself in any way until she, too, died. But fortunately, he was able to have a former family friend make arrangements so that he would be able to avoid going to an orphanage. He lives at a boarding school full-time, occasionally going home to clean is parents' graves during the holidays. At school, he gained the nickname Ark after several anonymous pieces of writing were traced back to him. He wrote under the name Arkangel, but it was clipped immediately. Since then, he witholds his true name from those he wouldn't trust his life to. Learned Spells: Aqua Column- Summons a jet of water from a glyph as directed by the user. The stream can be bent around the glyph to give the appearance of a sphere. Mist Mirage- Condenses the water naturally found in air into droplets large enough to refract light. The droplets are then positioned to take on a form the caster chooses. Is virtually useless on nights with no moon. Obviously because of no light. Tide Healing (ADVANCED)- Due to the fact that cells are mostly water, this spell is able to imperfectly copy them. The new cells are far less durable, but disappear as the body builds cells of its own. The manufactured cells contain all the energy needed to sustain the spell, so it drains a massive amount of energy from the caster all at once to eliminate the need for constant energy input. Borealis Blade- The Sword of the North, summoned from the book, that can freeze almost anything, and a requirement for ice spells. Combo Spells: Modifications of existing spells. Shortcuts, if you will. They'll be added to the book as the user thinks them. Crushing Column- Sandwiches the target between two deadly-powerful Aqua Columns. Ice Scythe- freezes a stream of water, shaping it into a blade, and sends it flying at the target. Waterfall Guard- Creates an impossibly thick ice wall around the target.  |

Since most of his main subject is to find resources and searching for the old history, he have almost free time to read and play with his sister but sometime he go out to foreign country following the archaeologist work. He live with her sister since their parent died in a mysterious accident. Until now his parent's death is still a mystery and he secretly promise to himself to search the truth of their death. _______________________________________________ Known Spells CHAPTER ONE-CURSE OF DOOM ~HAZZARD BARRIER-A poison element barrier that have acidic properties. It can melt anything that touch it. -Activation: Poison Element ~VENOM BITE-A concentrated poison focus on the hand of the user, have the same acidic property as the Hazzard Barrier -Activation:-Curse of Doom, paragraph 2, line 74. ~In the hand of evil this curse is unleased. Opening the path of suffering and despair. Curse the weak in gaining the power, as in nature of the viper's fang ~SERPENT'S OATH-A summoning magic that call forth 4 snakes from the book. Although it seems powerful truthfully this is a low-level summoning technique that drain a lot of energy. The snake can only retain it's form in a short period of time before dissapear. -Activation:-Curse of Doom, paragraph 5, Line 12. ~Deep in the forest, across the sea, high in the mountain, unreachable on the sky. 4 type of serpent, 4 type of curse. Lend me your power to break free of this terrible fate ~SACRIFICE-A magic that allow the user to trade places with ally that is in danger. The user will accept all the damage that suppose to be the traded ally damage's -Activation:-Curse of Doom, paragraph 4, line 44~I vow to myself and grant me the power, to switch the life of mortal soul, I vow to myself and curse me to death, to atone the sin of my dearest hold CHAPTER TWO-REQUIEM IN THE NIGHT ~PREDATION-A magic that allow the user to consume others in order to replenish energy and heal injuries. The rate of the success is depend on the user's ability and it can be only used 2 times in a day or the rebound effect will take place -Activation:-Requiem in the night, Paragraph 6, line 38~No sun, no light, no hope, no fight, I rise from the pit of despair, I curse your life in brimming rage as I the king of serpent vow ~CURSE BINDER-Poisonous Tentacles came from Shin's body and bind the enemy. Maximum tentacle that can be produce is 8. It have the combination of deadly poison and corroding acid. -Activation:-Requiem in the night, Paragraph 3, line 45~We lock and stop, the movement of the foe, constrict to death, the bone of the sacrifice. ~VENOMOUS BLAST-A deadly beam attack that concetrate powerful aura in one hand and blast it towards the enemy. Have the poison effect too and it can melt anything on it's path. -Activation:-Requiem in the night, Paragraph 52, line 12~From rock to water, the curse of despair surround my hand, melting everything in it's path, destruction follows closely behind. ~SERPENT'S SOUL-A mid-level summoning magic that summon a big snake. It can be used as a servant and part ways with the user but it can't move too far away from it's user, or it will vanish. -Activation:-Requiem in the night, paragraph 42, line 11~Slithering in bush is the mighty serpent, constrict living things in the act of hunger, follow my voice and I feed your souls, Hunt all you like the sacrifice of sorrow. CHAPTER THREE-THE ENDLESS DESPAIR ~MIDNIGHT MASSACRE-Shin's monster like form unlock another chapter of the book. This magic give a quick sudden movement to it's user. It was a one step acceleration like a snake strikes. Once stop, it takes 30 second to charge for another movement. -Activation:-The Endless Despair, Paragraph 22, Line 22~To Lightning it bow, the speed it posses, strike with all it might and bear it fang in the flesh.   |

Name: Krile Venus (alias) Age: 21 Gender: Female Origin Country: Singapore Appearance:  Book: Brown Symbol: Beige Bio: She was a member of an assassin squad in an unknown organization called the Agency. She's one of the Agency's Level S, Grade 5 (lowest ranking of those in Level S(level S is a high rank)) assassin. She met the spell book at HQ, when they were checking her and the other assassins for compatibility and after much research, Krile was found to have the highest compatibility ratio to the book. They decided to make her a test subject to make books like that but Krile stole the book and almost destroyed the HQ before going into hiding. Known spells:

Name: Laritemn Ascione Age: 20 Gender: Male Origin Country: America Apperance: Dark brown hair pulled back into a ponytail and showing sign of premature graying. Stand about 6 ft. but slouches often. Lean and wearing comfortable clothes. Book color: Dark Green Symbol Color: Crimson Bio: Grew up in a normal community in a middle class family and eventually went to college. However, after about a year or so, he bought his book from a Library book sale and discovered it's potential. Being unable to explain his newfound power he left his former life to go discover it's cause. ----Spells thus far . . . --------------------------------------- Spellsight: Allows Laritemn to see existing and past spells cast in the area and how they work. It's a weak spell and is a requirement for many of Laritemn's other spells, it's range can be enhanced but this is costly. Reverse: Undoes the damage done to something/someone by a spell. The more damage there is, the longer it takes. Enhance: As the name it implies, it enhances another spell being cast. The more time it has to channel, the greater the enhancement. Flight: Self-Explanitory, Lets him fly. It can go rather fast, but is more draining. Dispel: Ends an ongoing spell. Costs the same energy as it took the caster to cast the original spell. Point Defense: User moves to block incoming projectiles coming towards him with a supernatural speed. However, the longer the spell is active, the less effect it has. Seal of Stasis: Laritemn must have his staff touching the persons chest as he casts it. The target disappears and is held in stasis until someone goes to the site the target was sealed and recites his full name.
The next witty thing I think of and remember will likely end up here.

Name: Niya Kuwagari Age: 18 Gender: Female Origin Country: Japan Appearance: later Book Colour: purple Symbol Colour: silver Bio: later Known spells/enchantments: -JOLINAR: a large black panther bonded to Niya that can be summoned once a day from a small figurine which took many weeks to enchant. When summoned it increases Niya's abilities but any damage it takes is shared with Niya. Able to shift in and out of our dimension and its own where it returns after being summoned to heal itself. Longer drain on stamina the longer it is summoned. -STEELSKIN: a protective spell causing Niya's skin to become hardened like steel. Causes fatigue when used longer. -SHADOW ART #1 SHADOW STEPS: Niya is able to become immaterial and immune to attack for a few seconds. The longer it is used the more draining it is. -SHADOW ART#2 SHADOW BIND: The target's shadow binds with Niya's shadow and the target cannot move unless Niya moves (similar to what Shikamaru does haha…). Not much energy is required for this, but a strong will is required to maintain the connection.

Oooo sounds fun. Name: Xen Age: 16 Gender: Male Country: Unknown, Some say China, others say Japan Appearance: Black shoulder length hair, goldish brown eyes, about 6 ft. stands straight, fit and cut but not really muscular. Wears a gun-metal trenchcoat and gunmetal colored pants. Book colour: Gun-metal (lite silver/purple) Symbol colour: Gold Bio: Born Xenald Tsung, he was an Eurasian boy that traveled often. As a young boy, he came across an odd book, with a silver/purple hue and a gold symbol on it. After he picked the book up, his life became hell. His parents were killed when he was 6, three days after he found the book. Someone was looking for him, and the book. The police said that his parents refused to give their son to the killers, and they were shot. Over. And over. And over. They say that Xenald's father was shot so many times, that the bullet wounds crossed over one another. Xenald changed his name, forgot his last name, and left to travel again, to find the mystery of the book and why it was cursed upon him. Xenald, now cut to Xen, found that the book held magical mysteries. He was the only one that is able to unlock it. He grew with the book and trained with the book. 10 years later, he donned gear that matched the color of the mysterious book, as the real adventure began. Known spells (ATM): Air Raid: Calls on wind to blow and tear inanimate things apart, does nothing to living things except blows them away. Air Dash: controls wind to push behind the user, allowing them to move extremely fast, but in one direction only. Particle Scatter: Scrambles living things' particles, allowing them to pass through solid objects, works for up to 3 seconds. Gust Flight: Allows for slow ascension and flight, can be combined with Air Dash or Particle Scatter. Typhoon Rush: There are two types of this spell. One is used in the sky with little magic used to control the clouds. Another is used in battle with much magic used to create an extremely strong storm. Torrent Shield: Basically uses a weaker wind gust to make something waterproof. Any water that hits would be blown off. Maelstrom Fist: An extremely strong attack. A tornado is formed on the user's free arm and can be used to make skin cutting winds by swiping the tornado around. The greatest attack is to punch with the tornado head on, which blasts the opponent away whilst randomly slicing air and objects in that direction. White Vacuum: A ball of wind that spins etremely fast, the user can control it with his power and shoot it at his oopponents. Scatters and seperates the particles of anything it touches. Can only be used with shadow fusion as of now. Black Vacuum: The higher level of White Vacuum, which sucks away the air in a certain area. Black Vacuum sucks away matter in an area, creating a tiny space where nothing can survive. The space is only as big as a common quarter, but when used properly, can be devastating. A high level and High Taxing spell. |

Okay, there's one spot left, but I'm under the assumption that Sagara will be here for that soon enough. So I guess it's safe to just save that for him, right? ^^ All the characters start out in Tokyo (Don't worry about explaining why your character is there, that isn't really important.). Any spells you create will be recorded under your characters name here on the first post, if you ever want to see them or check. There is no limit on number of spells right now, but I may set a limit later, for now just try not to create a new spell every time you attack. So, I'll guess we'll start. I'll try my best to do a better job of keeping the story moving for this RP, I know I waste a lot of time in my RP's sometimes (Gundam Seed FATE was big example of that) and I don't want this failing because of no story. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Tokyo: Central Shopping District~ Vince: *looking blankly down at the crumpled map in his hand, a small backpack slung over his shoulder and his spellbook in his other hand* Now. . . where am I exactly. . . Thanks Jon, you assumed correctly ^^. Haven't seen you and Kay in awhile. Don't feel bad about using Vince, i use Kazuya/Kisuke alot. Name: Kisuke Age: 22 Gender: Male Origin Country: Japan Appearance: Red eyes, short dark brown hair which slightly obscures right eye, wears black coat over a white undershirt and black pants. Likes using a summoned sword called Crimson Tsurugi as a melee weapon. Book and Symbol Color: Book - Black. Symbol - Blood Red. Bio: ~~ ~Tokyo: Near Central Shopping District~ Kisuke was walking with no specific destination, he had his spellbook in his left hand. He sees a man around his age with a small backpack slung over his shoulder and a book in his other hand. Kisuke: *thinking*Maybe this guy is lost, i'll help him as i'm in a goo mood.

(Mind if I come in, too? lol *shy*) *a young, strange dressing kid is walking down Shibuya (it's a shopping district in Tokyo, not sure if it's the "center" one though ^_^;); a few guys give him some smart and dirty looks from across the street and follow him from behind keeping a safe distance, even though it's just a kid* *the strange kid's clothes appear dirty, torn, and ripped; he stops short a few times, leaning on nearby poles to help support him standing on his feet* ??? (one of the guys following the kid): Hey, check it out. *he points at the strange looking kid as if he remembers his attire from somewhere before* Mitsuomi: *breathing heavily and wipes sweat from forehead; after taking a short break, continues walking with those gangsters walkin' nearby behind him*

Laritemn leaves the airport with his backpack and walking stick. He walks to a nearby bench to sit. He pulls out his laptop and turns it on, pulling up a map. "I wonder where the nearest library is . . . . "

~Tokyo: Kuwagari Dojo~ Niya carefully eyed her opponent as they circled each other slowly. Step…step… step… Niya yelled and made a feint with her katana, causing her opponent to instinctively block it while she sliced at his torso, narrowly missing as he leapt back. *So close*…They began to circle each other again. Step…step…*Damn he changed his rhythm, he’s faster now* Niya altered her steps to match her opponents’ and he suddenly lunged forward and came at her with a series of attacks which she deflected easily. *An opening!* As Niya lifted her katana to attack, her eyes widened as she noticed he shifted his weight slightly *A trick!* Disarmed and at the end of her opponents’ katana, she yielded. Akira Kuwagari: (comes forward clapping) Well done young master Yuki, your skills have improved once again! Your progress never fails to surprise me. Niya, you must spend more time training if you hope to participate in the upcoming trials. Yuki and Niya: (bow) Thankyou for your kind words master. Akira Kuwagari: That is all for today. (starts to walk away) Oh, and Niya please go buy the groceries after you’ve cleaned up. Niya: (bows) Hai otousan. (turns to Yuki) Let’s go!

"Xen." He didn't bother asking the other's name in fear of what would happen again. *Flashback* Xen(10 years old): "Mister, could you help me find a lodging in this city?" Man: "Sure kiddo, but where are your parents?" Xen: "They are...dead..." *looked down with tears in his eyes* Man: "Oh... I'm sorry..." *Three days later* Xen: "Thanks for visiting me here everyday, I really appreciate it." Man: "No problem. I couldn't leave a 10 year old in this house by himself, even if he was a boy scout or something." Xen: "What?" Man: "Nevermind." *Two weeks later* Xen: "He hasn't shown up yet... What happened?" *turns on T.V.* Reporter: "Just yesterday night, a man has been suspectedly killed by contract assassins right on Brookevern street. He was shot in the back of the head, like an execution, then shot several times in the back. The police say that silencers were used in the act." Xen: "No! Its them!" *Packs up stuff* "No more, NO MORE!!!" *opens book and starts glowing. Xen and his stuff turned invisible.* "Why do they kill even him..." *walks off into the distance without anyone seeing him* *Flashback End* "Excuse me, but how long is this going to take?" |
