I did a search and didn't see this around so I hope their isn't one already, but this thread is a thread dedicated to your own songs that you write. I know anyone can be a lryicist, but I'm curious to see what other people have. In effort to help kick people off heres one that I have written. It’s the early morning. The time at late night when everything is quiet. I pick up these few letters. As I read them, I dream of the dances among the stars. Singing and laughing in the moonlight with all these things beside me. But after I crash and burn I landed bruised and scared in the sand. I rise the broken man who had just fixed his head with all the dreams left inside. That’s way I say thank you for the good times. Thank you for the best times. when I stood up late night, talking to you online. I miss those long nights when it all seemed so right. And those places where I used to fly so I can see you. In those days after when it all was said and done. I hate it because I can not think, can not sleep, or breath. So I lay awake starting at the darkness remembering those nights when I slept laughing. Kissing and hugging you in my mind. Waking up in your bed. Living and having this not so perfect life. But now its gone and I have myself, have myself to blame. My stupid thoughts and stupid mind is not the same. I hate this place that is so dark and cold. I hate this place, hate this place so dead and old. This place where I can’t see the rising sun. But I must move forward or die in line. And you know that’s not just like me. That’s way I say. thank you for the good times. Thank you for the best times. when I stood up late night, talking to you online. I miss those long nights when it all seemed so right. And those places where I used to fly so I can see you. As you push me away, I beg you please to stay. I just want to see you. I just want to hear you. Like those times late at night online. In that chat room where I first met you. When I got to know you. I learned you liked me. I said do you want me? I said I love you. There where I kissed you. Just where it was me and you. That’s why I say thank you for the good times. Thank you for the best times. when I stood up late night, talking to you online. I miss those long nights when it all seemed so right. And those places where I used to fly so I can see you. Thank you for all the times. When I was online. And it was only me and you. Where you weren’t so far away and I knew there would come that day when I would see you. I have more but lets see what everyone else has done.  |

Think what you want of it, but I suppose that this poem could be made into a worthy song. Hi. I don't write lyrics but instead I compose some kind of a melodic electronic music. I'd appreciate if you gave it a listen!! @skyl : Yeah fl-studio, maybe not the best program around but the one I'm used to. Thanks a lot for listening!! I use mainly external vsti's to get better sounds and I have one real analog synthesizer too... Roland juno-106 (made in japan) =] |

@Drakmin:: Sounds good..love the trance/electro. :) Nice, you got a Roland Synth huh..by any chance, can you play piano? or compose other music besides electronic/trance? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This thread died around summer I see...but nice lyrics guys. And that song by Kaoru.. I could probably compose music for that...if its fine with Kaoru. Ja.    |

@shinta: Thanks a LOT! (for listening and commenting) You seem to have somekind of a music backround too? Can't play piano from 'notes' or how do you say it... But, if I listen to some song for a while, I can play it kinda good by hearing. But seriosly I'm no pianist, I use my synths just to get nice sounds for songs and sketching for simple melodies. Ofcourse I could compose different music if I wanted but somehow I always end up with this same style:) I don't try to force songs into any specific genre, they just come out this way and I'm fine with that! Drums are the instruments which I can play good. I played those for about 8 years at music school. |

I normally don't make music unless I get an idea. Like Alan Copland said, "Ideas just don't come from out of nowhere, they have to take a musical form; and that form, on the composer, has a emotional significance..." I'm actually in the process of making a 30 min long trance about the Growth and Decay of Human Life. Up and Down is the current title lol. Drak, have you heard the Monolithic Filter in the FL Studio? If you close your eyes and listen, it really sounds like you are traveling underground doesn't it? Or in outer space. That's the impact I want for my song. Oh and FL Studio is pretty good. If you have producer's edition, it's got almost everything you need. Reason is another great program too. |

@SkyL: I don't recall seeing a filter with that name... maybe I'm missing it because I only got the second newest FL Studio running. I don't want to update it because all new goodies in the sequencer make me lose my inspiration :) Funny enough! And another bad thing about inspiration is the fact that I always get the 'I want to do music!' feeling when im at school or getting to bed or anything like that. And when I have a day off from school, I'm usually not able to place a single note :D You can see my FL running in this pic. Roland is the dark keyb in the backround. Keyboard below monitor is made by me.. it's only a midikeyb so no sounds out of it.  |

Nice. I got 6 speakers in my room and a 50 watt sub. My only complaint, I need a better receiver and a bigger screen. |

I wrote a song...and I couldn't believe it... The problem...it is in Spanish T-T I'm going to try and translate it...At the moment I'm adding music...So I might record it in Spanish and post it with a translation ^-^ |

This is my first attempt at writing a song. It is still a little rough, and could use revision, but I wanted to get it out there for people to read. Plz tell me what you think. So glad that there's many people who appreciated self-made lyrics. ^_^ I had pretty bad musical sense, but I love writing lyrics. Especially after a particularly touching scene on a game. (I so totally LOVE RPGs ^_^) I also like translating/literating japanese songs into english, though its so goddamn hard to find the right word for some japanese words. Here is a song I made, it's pretty short, but I'll get over my embarassment to pay respect to those who posted their own lyrics. Its an "エール" (a yell) (No title yet) Saa, Tachiagare tomo yo! tokihanate, kokoro no lonely song Ima, Koko ni iru kimi wa ikiterunda sou darou? song eh the only song i wrote was THE SOD THEME SONG (to the tune of angry video game nerd song) they're gonna sing us songs that suck ass crazy songs a blast from the past they never cared if they're off tune or if they even sound horrible too cuz all they want,is to make you smile or make you even go ROFL they're the craziest singers you've ever heard singing cheesy songs you've never heard and their king is a super sentai nerd they're the crazy SOD nerds~ hahahahaa nice songs guys! |
