@Jiraiya- Memory leaking isn't the problem at hand. The slowdowns are occurring as no matter how long he's had Firefox running because he's got 256MB of RAM being used by Firefox and his game. |

@Jiraiya, firefox constantly use almost the same amount of ram, even when you kept it running overnight unlike internet explorer which will more than double its consumption rate after being run overnight. so closing firefox and running it again won't help. also, what most people called memory leaks in firefox isn't really memory leak(read about it at this site). i manage to cut down Firefox memory consumption to about 30MB some how...but i guess i'll just have to dig a hole in my pocket and buy that RAM |

@Bloodymoon:My brother's firefox consumes more memory than azureus does from being inactive for a bit. The mozilla devs can say the back caching is the cause and there isn't really a big memory leak, but that doesn't explain how his browser can end up consuming 230 mb of ram. However, I'm not looking to fight with you over whether or not this happens, just wanted to offer something that might possibly help. |
