I just saw this on another site. Apparently there are two people (Who I assume are the ones running the site.) who have two very opposite opinions on Aerith's death. One of them wants the possible remake of FFVII to include a resurrection of Aerith, to be able to bring her back. The other believes that this would be a bad thing to do. What do you all think? Do you think Aerith being revivable in an FFVII Remake would be a good thing or a bad thing? Would it ruin the game or "fix" it? Which person do you agree with? Personally, I agree with the Argument. As I heard it!: Originally the FFVII creators mother died during the games creation and he decided there would be no coming back for Aerith after death like in the real world. So I highly doubt there will ever be a version where she can be brought back since the creator had personal reasons in choosing her to die. =/ (She was my Favorite character, (Sephiroth as well) but you have to respect the creators wishes).

i didn't play the game, but i did watch my brother playing it. i guess it is sad that Aerith died, since Cloud kinda liked her and all that. i agree with the defence part; the game was really 'real' to me, and i kept thinking about it, ending and all. but hey, it's still a game; if Square wanted her to die, then die she did.

The argument isn't just about if the game should be remade, there is actually a petition asking people who go to that site to sign it and then the plan is to send that petition into Square or the FF guys to get them to do it. Like the guy writing the argument said, asking them to remake a game and change a pivotal event in the game just because some gamers didn't want it to happen is like someone giving you the Venus de Milo and sending it back because you want it to have arms. I completely agree with him on that. While I would like a remake of FFVII, I would like it to be have all the same elements and things in it, which means the ATB system, materia (Maybe adding a few more), a few things that were left out of the original that the programmers wanted to do, but brining Aerith back to life (or giving you the ability to) would just completely ruin the game. What's the point of someone dieing when they just get revived later? It takes every bit of sadness and tragedy out of the game, not to mention it would cause all the events after FFVII to just fall apart. (I never liked Aerith to begin with, so part of the reason I want her to stay dead is because I dislike her.^^)

I would like to see what would happen if she had survived however the whole point and drive of the team in the game (not to mention the whole current story arc that would affect even FF:AC) would change "There are rumors that an alternative, superior ending exists, unaccessible because of Aerith's permanent death. Those rumors are nothing but LIES." - I agree on this... This whole petition probably started with this rumor... The people who wants this was affected by the people who had spread this lie... A "better" ending (with Aerith ressurected) is an impossibility. If she had been ressurected, then she would commit suicide before the end. This is true! Do not presume to know more than she." - It makes me think why she would want to die if she "knew" she needed to... (Because the story demanded it? Probably...) But this ending would be the most "lackluster" in my opinion.... However I agree... It is inevitable in the story.... somewhere in the game she will and must die if ever this remake would happen... You can prolong her life... But she will pass away... Even if it was created... It probably would be no more than a non-canon FF story (Much like on how Marvel Comics likes to make "What if" situations with their characters) Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow!

reviving aeris? hmmm nah...she needs to die..she must die, she will die... her death was an important factor to cloud's resolve...her death is needed to complete cloud's character...she will and she must die... as for the story they can fix some story elements and add in a few...like that scene in the shinra mansion..."the last order scene" which can also be sen in the game sometime in disc two...and adjusting thestory to fit in the ac and dc arcs

i enjoy the idea of being able to play with aeris even after she dies but that would change the story and i really dont want to see that happen

FFVII would lose what made it popular if they make it able to revive Aerith. I don't really care either way though. "I will not become a mere memory"

If she die let her die. I haven't play this one but if a person die according to the storyline, bringing it back sounds like stupid. Maybe because for me, I accustomed to the storyline. Alteration of what you have been going through in the game is just plain dumb.

You'd think that the main aspect of the entire story being screwed up would be enough for people to realize that she has to stay dead, but there are still fans that think it's something that should be fixed.

all i can say: if Aeris didn't die, do you think things would turn out the way they have? personally, i think if Aeris hadn't died, Cloud wouldn't search for himself. to the person who used my other account / hacking my e-mail -- a thousand curses befall upon you!!

I vote for keeping the scenario as it was. Aerith is already happy with zack, in heaven with Angeal( I sure hope so... ). They made their ultimate sacrifice, and it is for their sacrifice that the uncomparable story that is final fantasy seven was created.

Hmmm... I'd vote for reviving her. And while they're at it, they should revive Zack as well. It could be done. The explanation for the lifestream was like a river of souls flowing inside the planet. When a person dies, his/her soul travels inside the lifestream, waiting for the time when he/she is reborn as a new person/organism. Having said that, why not revive them? Even as a pair of wolves would suffice. Besides, hasn't Cloud suffered enough?

Dont fix it..its cooler that way..besides.I agree with Guren.And the way she died ROCKS!Cant wait to see what it'll look like in the remake for PS3>.< When will the game be released!!The pain of waiting!

wasnt the remake only a rumor and that footage was a test demo only? anyway reviving aeris and zack into wolves would be a bit pointless..hehehe

Keep it the same. Aerith's death is neccessary for the story. I don't want the story to screw up.
