I would like to lay out some basic guidelines: - only post your own work. plagiarism will get you permanently banned from the forum! - please limit the total file size of embedded images to 500kb. if you need to, use links or thumbnails instead of embedding big pictures. - only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is allowed. - have fun!

Thanks for pointing out Silent Soldier, I have had some experience with different mediums & am pretty sure no one could do that with pencil. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want people to think I was ragging on him because he was better than me. Wow, for a sec I was starting to think I was losing my touch. Thanks again. *Gives admin big hug*

"jov" sounds better, call me jov please! nandeyane! @rabbit- desu, arigato! i'll draw you some melon bread sometime. don't expect it to look good though! =) @rei- aww. noone likes mecha =( but evangelion has mecha! what would evangelion be without mecha! it is unimaginable. !!! @gacktlover- hmm~ what would be a good theme? maybe tomatoes. i could draw a different tomato every day ._.; an anime tomato. bwahahahahahahahahahahaha! oh. your first ichigo kurosaki picture (on the previous page) actually says ichigo kurusaki in katakana ^-^; your drawings are a lot better than mine! ahh well~. no wonder you keep getting grade As from your teacher ._. @roq- wow, it really is hard to find anything about this manga. is it good? the cover page looks pretty cute, but thats the only picture i can find of it .__.; you seem to be very inspired by it =P @ninja- If art is an expression of self, then you scare me a lot with your drawings o.O They're very beautiful but scary... hmmm. on a completely unrelated note, honestly, you seem a BIT too happy about the silent soldier thing .-.; @angelus- ah, an art student. なるほど. there are different types of charcoal? compressed and willow? zwtf. ahh. hmm. how dya smudge charcoal? does one use their finger? drawing for friday + saturday... i got lazy after the 4th frame. hahahahaha. oh well. also, second frame is a bit screwed up. mmm... oh well! at least mecha week is over. i really prefered drawing cute girls -__-

And yes , we can smudge it with fingers , but it's really difficult to control it for amateurs as we have "Elephant Foot" fingers ~.~ . どでもいい。知らない、知りたくないです。<-What's this ? What's your opinion about Silent Soldier ? (no need to answer if you're not willing to ...) That's it for now . Later .

sad to hear that..+ it came to me as a rather huge surprise really..well it is sudden but i gotta point out something..pencil work like that is possible :P some of my classmates can do better even,... with the finest details and exaggeration..+ with superb shadings (altho of course..can be done by photoshop etc etc as well) anyways @Mp4c Hooray on the comics ^^ itz well drawn^^ keep them coming ......................

i just came back home and THIS is what i see.. .......silent was just lying to us the whole time?.... i totally respected him...a whole lot he was my idol.....pratically everyone's idol.. thank you gendou, for pointing this out for all of us i would have never thought....something like this would ever happen....

yeah it was a surprise 4 me too i gotta say...altho i dont really know him since i just joined..only that I find that many ppl do admire his artwork but really...he didn't seem that dishonest of a person dont be too upset, Rabbit..and anybody else feeling down..these things do happen..and that's why i cant seem to trust people easily ......................

I might as well add my two cents into this whole matter. To be honest i didn't really care if Silent's pics were authentic or not. What really erked me was the Eri pic....when he basically said that it was his idea, that he came up with it. That pic to me was awfully obvious that he didn't draw it....since i have that same pic as a wallpaper. A few other members also were suspicious of all his "art" but i guess we didn't really know how to reveal everything. Personally i thought long & hard about all this...though i didn't want to drag it on anymore. I'm just relieved that all of this is over & done with & we can all continue this great thread...hopefully with a little more honesty. I'm sorry to all who were decieved by Silent (Rabbit, Shinji, Roqstar) to name a few. I truly understand how all of you may feel & i just hope you can get over it & move on. All of us can just move on....& hopefully Silent will have learned something valuable today. @ Angelus (regarding your message) I appreciate the sentiments but personally this is not something i'm that excited about..... *EDIT* If you need some closure to all this please read my thoughts about all this....i wanted to post this before Gendou....anyways i spent all night finding the right words....some of you have already seen this.... What i thought about all this....VERY LONG Hi there guys/gals...been quite some time since the last time i posted here. I promised i would critique everyone's drawings when i'm healed from my minor injury....i will do that soon. However I have a serious matter to get off my back. What i'm about to say will be difficult for some to believe. I know i will be hated for this....ridiculed.....questioned but i wanna say that this was a very VERY difficult decision. I didn't want to make it come to this.....days & days of thinking about it....i just believed it was the RIGHT THING TO DO! I was gonna wait to reveal all this but it would be like “beating a dead horse”…dragging this out would be too much for others to handle. I already consorted with Gendou-san about all this for the permission to go through with my discoveries. After all is said & done i REALLY don't want anybody punished for this. Everyone makes mistakes & i just hope Gendou will be lenient with his decision.....though that is for him to decide...he will have the final say in all this. IF I'M WRONG ABOUT ALL THIS....I WILL ACCEPT THE REPERCUSSIONS & WILL ASK GENDOU TO BAN ME. I knew the risks going into this & i'm fine with that. Although the evidence that i've uncovered (with the help of some others that will remain nameless) is pretty clear, The person that i'm talking about is SILENT SOLDIER! Let me start by saying I have nothing against you……but I couldn’t ignore all this anymore. You say that all your drawings are authentic. ONLY a PENCIL & ERASER were used in ALL your drawings. Am i correct? In your own words.....They are 100% real too and just as detailed oriented....& First I just wanted to say this picture was drawn by me with no help from any programs Photoshop or otherwise (I can barely work the scanner to put the drawings on my computer it's pretty pathetic)....or this The drawings are 100% real it takes time to do the effects you see but everything is done by hand with pencil alone. I wouldn't know how or want to use a computer program on my drawings because I want them to be 100% done by me with no help EVIDENCE # 1 If that is what you say...can you explain these images that i'm about to show. When you use a program the PC keeps track of it....if the drawing were done in pencil ONLY....the only thing that will show up is the name of the scanner you used to upload it to your PC. Like this pic..... So what is this PAINT.NET...if you only use a pencil you wouldn't need to use this program ( which you can download for free ).....and why is it that there is no record of a scanner being used? If you drew it on paper it has to be scanned to a PC so you can upload it…right? Unless the pic in question is already in your computer…. EVIDENCE # 2 The thumbnails i showed....why are some of the pics colored? You can trick people but the PC will usually show you the truth....... EVIDENCE # 3 Every pic is like i showed in Evidence # 1...if you save the pic & check the advanced summaries....every pic has the CREATION SOFTWARE used.....one even has something even more serious. Why is there a COPYRIGHTED notice in the summary? Did you rip the pic off some person named lthnadlm.... EVIDENCE # 4 Finally i would've NEVER have found out about all this if you just didn't post that pic of ERI.....you know this one.... Which looks awfully similiar to this one that i have on my PC.....one of my wallpapers infact This pic is origianally from a School Rumble artbook....if you just said that you used this pic as reference i would've just ignored it.....BUT.....when you said this In your own words!!! "I was going for the sexy fantastic look ^^, and it took me about a week of on and off work to do. It looks like I am getting better at doing complicated drawings in less time" If i read this correctly you basically meant that it was your own idea.....that you thought up that drawing!!!!! I'm passionate & love drawing /art and i respect everything that someone does.....what you did is NOT respectful!!! You plagerized someone elses drawing & said it was your own!!!! I did an experiment with the 2 drawings...though the original is larger than yours i resized it to your dimensions....what i found out was shocking! After laying them on top of each other......the 2 pics were close to identical!!! I would even go to say they were 100% identical!!! Even if you did trace the drawing "human error" will always be present!!! There is no way a human can recreate something 100% identical without the aid of a machine...a PC in this case. The most obvious part is the “pixelated” area of her bag….a regular pencil can’t do that effect. I have tried to recreate your pic but without knowing the specs & methods you used i was unable to....however i will soon post my results using Trial & Error. Though it may not be 100 % exact to your forgery i would safe to say it is pretty close. This is what i have uncovered about Silent Soldier....i would love to hear your explanation for all this. What i don't get or understand is the reason for all this. There is no profit or recognition (other than within the forum community)...so what was the whole point. Are you so desperate for attention that you would stoop to this tactic? I just can't fathom all this & i just lost all my respect for you as an artist.....as a person?....well you may still be a good person....but personally it will take some time for me to believe that again. After seeing all this i will let everyone make their own conclusions....believe me or not..... Though this is not to the extent of Akatsuki Yousei who lied about her health.....what Silent Soldier did is just as upsetting. All this was unnecessary....even if you posted "Stick People" the members of this forum would still praise your artwork! Now all you have done is dissapoint the people who respected you & loved your "so called art".....myself included. Members like Rabbit & Shinji (to name a few) looked up to you....i'm just sorry that they have to find out about all this..... To them I'M REALLY REALLY SORRY that you have to know about this.....but i want you two to think about this for a moment. If you were an artist & created something that will send you over the top....but someone stole that idea & now he's reaping the rewards for something you made. How will you feel about it? Not too happy i would think. I know this may be difficult to believe & i know how you feel about all this....this wasn't something i wanted to do...i thought about it for days & days but it was something i needed to do. I know how much you admired Silent & I wish there was a better way to show you all this. I know what you must feel about all this….again I’m truly sorry that you have to know! Some people supported me in this ( some even uncovered some of the evidence i showed)....one even was willing to be BANNED if i was wrong about all this. Heh....though i appreciate the thought it was something i couldn't allow them to do. I made the decision to undertake in this & like i said i ALONE will take responsibilty for it. Believe me or not i just hope you understand the position i'm in.....all i wanted to do was the right thing....i believe i have done just that. You two may hate me for this & think of me differently from now on....i would too if i were you. Believe me that my intent was NOT to get anybody BANNED for this....that was the last thing on my mind. I still hope that Silent Soldier will still be a member of Gendou & this forum....& i would love to see ORIGINAL stuff from him....also be more honest....if you used a PC just say so....it's not that big a deal! I have said all i needed to say....like i said i truly didn't want to do this....i always give people the benefit of the doubt....if i'm right i'm right...but if i'm wrong about all this....& is banned....so be it. Whatever the end result is....that is all in the hands of Gendou-san. I would like to thank him for giving me the oppurtunity to say all this & i apologize for dragging him into all this. I hope i didn't waste too much of his time :) This is a great thread on Gendou & despite all that has occured i still hope that it continues with EVERYBODY still apart of it. IF and ONLY IF there is a chance that a few of us will no longer be part of this thread.....i just wanna say it was a delight for me to get to see everyones talents set on display. On those days that i was unable to draw i got solice from seeing everyones art...always puts a smile onto my face....for that i THANK EVERYONE. U Draw Anime Requests Open!!!

@Mp4c: I'm not jumping for joy here about all this, I am glad he was caught though. Unlike him, I really meant it when I said I strive for perfection, now it's harder for me now that I moved away from dry media, but when I was always using pencils I could never dream of getting them to look like photoshoped stuff. And when I saw those pics he posted I was pissed at myself thinking 'what the hell am I doing wrong?' now I feel better knowing I wasn't doing anything wrong when I used pencils to color my pics. See where I'm coming from? Btw, when you said I scare you, did you mean that pic of Mokeiyatzu?

thank you for the encouragement rea.. but i would have never thought silent was one of those ppl...who wants attention. Im sure maybe most of us would have thought that too... yes, i cannot really fully trust anyone now.... but then again, its hard to not trust....there are so many good friends here EDIT: OK Im gonna try to be happy and hyper again!!!^^ There's no point in being depressed over this >.< @ninja: lol. that kinda sounded really harsh of u.....hope i see more works from ya^^

Alright, these two kind of suck. This was concept art me and my friend did for a comic thing we were going to make. [Never did it though, lost interest in the idea.] These were the 1st, very 1st drawings we did when we thought of the idea. If I can find our final art then I'll post it too.

Those weren't his drawings at all o.O Well I was totally fooled like usually :S But those were rahter amazing looking effects he had done just with pencils >.< But still. Im not able to understand what makes people make up things like that. Äfhs. I'll leave it be, im too simple minded and straight foward. But I think I will be able to post something new next week :3 And then I have to consider anime drawing. ACK! @jon Your cartoon version has kinda crazy smile =D Looks like you have had some fun with those ;3

But that did not bug me , what bugs me is that how can he post so fast (such style like that takes a lot of time , about 2 months or so) ? @ Rabbit: I never said I wanted him to be in this state. I just hated the fact he made me doubt myself so much & made me think too much til my head hurt. I can't begin to explain how much my hand hurt when I was trying to get my pencil sketches to amount to the pics he posted. I thought I was forgetting everything I ever taught myself, but when he was caught I felt a little relieved about my pencils skills. That's all. I agree with Izumo when he said he thinks that Silent Soldier should still be allowed to use this site. So does that clear everything up for you?
