people get the defensive war concept wrong in the suicide cases. you die with honor when you die defending your country or religion. but suicide bombing is a whole different story. they are misunderstanding the real concept of their religion and are using the religion's name to do those things.

Buddhism is indeed a religion. The followers believe in the teachings of Buddha, and they are based on the noble eightfold path. Its a religion when the followers have faith and belief in the divine teachings.

@angelyuki, thanks for the insight^^
and juz to add up on what u say abt suicide bombings, it is shameful that when these people thought they could die wth honor, but they did it in places wth so many civillians. that is definitely not right.

for me myself, i do believe in religion not because my parent wash my brain or sumthin like that.

but i just feeling bad when i see people that is so negative extreme with their religion. i mean, it's okay if u want to be extreme urself, but u don't have to make people become died or suffering becoz of ur idealism...that's not good...

in my country, sum majority religion's people just make other's life become uncomfortable because the way they act so extremely...and honestly, i feel pity of them...>.<

Believing is only half of it. The way I see it, someone who doesn't believe God but did everything the Bible said would be more likely to get into heaven than someone who believed in God and did everything the Bible says you shouldn't. - Sachiel

I see your point here, but us christians believe that faith to god is the most important even than deeds. If you really have faith in god then you wouldn't do something that's against god's will, would you?

Let's say that doing good deeds is what we can do the least for god, while believing in jesus and accepting him as your savior is the most important key in order to be in heaven... So we believe that even if you do good things but you don't believe in god, then it's still not enough. Well, that's christianity for you...

Well, I've heard of/seen people *COUGH* my friends *COUGH COUGH* that say they think God is true, yet they hardly ever read the Bible or Book of Mormon or do much of anything it says; there are some people at my church as well that behave irreverently in class and stuff... And regarding my earlier comment, you'd still need both faith and works to get into heaven; you want proof, read the scriptures.

Regarding exremists: Why do you do such things when it contradicts your teachings? (depending on the religion, of course...)

And time for me to get ranted and flamed... Doesn't the Koran (sort of like the Muslim Bible) teach very simply and bluntly "Kill the infidel!"? Doesn't that mean that anyone who doesn't believe in their religion is in danger of being killed by them?

Sach dear, Islam, as i know doesnt really teach its follower to kill the infidels. no religions would allow killing of innocent lives. and i've read about the rules Islam has to guide them and to teach them how to treat others from different religions. In my opinion, the saying, "Kill the infidels!" is used in the defensive wars, where they have to kill to protect their religion. and yeah, thanks to the extremists, now people all over the world has taken the misunderstanding and say that Islam is the religion of terrorists and stuff. i dont believe any religion would teach people to kill as the religions, as i have studied, all of them, teach not to kill, and to treat others well. its the followers who had wrongly interpret things, thus resulting in those morally wrong deeds or worse, becoming extremists and follow things blindly without truly understanding and learning all the sayings.

Like what angelyuki has mentioned above, I too think the most dangerous thing is to misinterpret what the Bible means. Now we live in a new era where sins are our routines. Once in my country, there's a law that forces Moslems to obey the Syariat (it's like the Old Testament in the Bible). That means robbers' arm will be cut, rapers will be thrown by rock to death, and much more, simply its "an eye for an eye". My moslem friends said that it'll be much better that they change to christian or buddhism or other religions as long as they don't have to obey that silly law. Because we never know the future, maybe we'll steal, or maybe rape, or even worse, kill somebody. Sins are what we breathe and we couldn't escape from it. Luckily, the government had canceled the law.

d-ninja : sorry but I don't understand what are you saying. I never said that I promoted death, like OwdEe sh4H has mentioned before. I never mentioned about workers before, I'm still a highschool student. If it's because my bad english then I'm terribly sorry.

...sigh...dnt all this juz remind u of what was in gundam series???battle between naturals n coordinators because they cant except each other's differences~ XD

@ sachiel
Hmm, about your friends... Maybe i can understand them because i'm somehow like them... I believe in god yet i don't read the bible... Heck i'm not even going to the church... And i feel that is because i'm too lazy. Well, i believe in his existence yet i still don't devote myself to god... Maybe it was because i feel secure already that i think i've known the truth, and i don't have to rush to devoting my life for god... I know i shouldn't wait to devote myself to god, that's wrong, but still, i do. I guess it's just human nature to be lazy and cancel stuffs they think they can already get. You know, just like students don't do their assignments right away because they know the deadline is still a week away, only in this case, we don't know when the deadline, which is death is.

Well, maybe your friends are just like me, they think they know the truth and so they think they can be a good follower of god when they feel like it later...
