HPV is a wide-spread viral sexually transmitted disease. The virus causes Cervical Cancer, which kills many women. A vaccine for this nasty virus has been created, called Gardasil. It has been recommended by the CDC that this vaccine be given to girls age 11-12, the same way we vaccinate against other viruses. This would save many thousands of people's lives. However, religious conservative groups in the US are opposed to the idea because they think it will "encourage slutty behaviro". Personally, I think these people should be dragged out into the street and shot. We are talking about a CURE FOR CANCER here! In no way does the vaccine allow for consequence-free sex. In no way does the vaccine itself encourage any sort of behavior. If you want girls to practice abstinence, teach them why doing so is healthy. I want my neighbor's kid to keep out of my pool while I'm away, so I tie led weights to his ankles so if he goes in the pool he will drown. Sounds like a religious conservative idea to me!

It's wrong, and I want to burn those people using your navigational fire hazzard ways!! *pitty their souls...* If the gov't know about this, why aren't they stepping in? The world today is having more problems, and I can only stand by and watch, as of many other million viewers of the world.

ahahaha. its a scientific/medical breakthrough. why prevent it from happening?? it may save more lives. thats the whole point of what those people believe anyways. the fact is as long as it saves lives, its worth it.    Warring States: NOW HIRING - evil geniuses, corrupt state leaders etc. |

Some teens already engage in "slutty behaviors" with people who have STDs and arn't discouraged by it at all. So having a cure for HPV won't make it any worse since there's still so many other deseases which can kill them. |
