Hi, I feel so dumb, cause it seems everyone knows how to do this... oh well. Can someone please teach me how to set up your own Winamp skin designs that you download? I just downloaded a really good Inuyasha one, but I don't know how to set it up. -_-x And could you also suggest some good skins, too? Thanks. ^_^ |

*moved from other to programming* ok, here's what you do: 1) click on your computer icon/click on start menu and click on my comupter. 2) click on your main hard disk drive. 3) go into your program files folder. 4) look for the winamp folder and click on it. 5) click on the skins folder. 6) wherever the skin you downloaded is saved, move it from there into this folder. make sure if it's a mordern skin to put it in that folder. now, you can open up wimamp and then press on alt s. it will instantly bring a window up with all the available/installed skins. choose whichever one you want and you're all set! just so long as you do the above process, they'll all be in there whenever you do the shortcut alt s. hope that wasn't too confusing for you. |

Wait...one more thing... What if the "skin" I downloaded is in bits and pieces? Do I have to put it together or something? And how do I make sure if it's a modern skin? Sorry...I'm not very good with computers...-_-x |

i don't know about skins that aren't put together. i never messed with those. as for telling apart between classic and modern skins, they'll usually tell you what kind of skin you're downloading. if it looks like this, then it's a classic skin. if it looks like this or this, something other than the regular rectangular shape or some other concoction, then it's a modern skin. |

Oh. Oh well. Anyway, the ones that aren't put together are downloaded in Winrar, then you open it, and there's bits and pieces. Like, one piece would be the volumn part, and another would be the play/stop buttons, etc. T_T Oh! Okay. Thanks! ^_^ |

Just put the .rar in the skins folder and see if that works. If not, you're going to have to extract them and put that folder in the skins folder. Hope that's not confusing. :P If it is, tell me and I'll get more in depth or something. o.o |
