hmm...i really confused now...my mother keep buying bananas and make me eat it!! DX!! could anybody share your way eating bananas? maybe add ice cream and chocolate?! O_O?! And...i just wonder...can anybody found me the fruit that contain Vitamin A? So it's good for eye... lololol i eat the bananas raw.. they are awesome,don't you think so?  Vitamin A fruits? o_o i only know Vitamin C fruits..vitamin A.. *checks google* ... hmm i know vegetables that contained vitamin A try carrot..but fruits.. i am not sure yet xD |

Yance, not a bad idea. But you see. I don't know how to make avys and siggys. :D Vitamin A fruit's. Well, I think Apple has Vitamin A. Or is it because A is the first letter of Apple. Hmmm.. I dunno. :D  |

since it's still not officially march, i'll reply. :D i cannot fight temptation. but after this, expect the next one to be in april. i must focus with my academics (but i lack the motivation. time constraints seem to be not enough. 0.o)!! XD alvistir aw. i have no idea of what fruit has vitamin A . . . except for carrots and squash which are not fruits. XD well, the pinoy thread is not actually dead. it is struggling for its life. people have been too busy lately, mainly because of college and work. i myself post there (and here) about once or twice a week. posting in our thread actually takes up time (and i hope you know what i mean) and some just cannot dedicate that much time to reply. so, the pinoy thread is now in it's state of depression. but i'm hoping with the new people coming in, it would survive and be active once again. :( turon is actually a native delicacy here in the philippines . . . it is actually thin slices of bananas (and sometimes strips of jackfruit) wrapped in lumpia wrapper (similar to the wrapper of spring rolls), dusted with brown sugar, and fried. and for some, they add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream with after being cooked. it is in fact my favorite "innovation" of how banana is cooked here in our country. it is also known as banana fritters or banana lumpia. here's a pic:  there are also other cooked banana varieties that i like, like the banana-que (banana rolled in brown sugar and fried), maruya (mashed banana dipped in flour and fried, sprinkled with sugar for some), and others. but turon is the best for me! <3 zero thanks. i really do hope i'd be able to do all of them in time of their respective deadlines. wow, you do? amazing! what course are you taking? and such a subject exists? haha, i do hope that it's fun if ever such a subject exists here. XD ukissa that is the point! since not all of us cannot make sigs or avys, then let it be that the reward for the fruits guessing game be the chance for the winner to let others guess the next fruit. err . . . i hope you get what i mean. this way everybody would do their best to guess the fruit in order for them to have the chance to have a fruit picture of theirs to be guessed by others. i sound redundant. =.= tatagalugin ko. ang mananalo sa hulaan ng prutas ang syang susunod na tao upang magpahula ng prutas. hayan. bakit ang igsi pag tagalog? bale un ung magiging reward nya. tas ang makakahula uli ng prutas na ipo-post nya rito ang susunod na magpapahula. hayan, gets na ba? hirap i-explain eh. @Alvistir: Depends on the kind of Bannana... There is the ones that are soft are usually eaten raw, caramelized(turon <3), or you can add it to a shake ^^ while there is also those hard ones... The ones that need to cooked or it won't taste good < D

@ yance: WOW!! Banana lumpia?? Turon?? I've never tried (or even see) one... XD I always prefer to eat banana raw... I'm taking food technology, so I learn about fruits too (in general, not specific), more or less...^^ And now i'm going to face my mid term exam!! >.< I think I like the idea of the guessing game...sounds fun!^^ ---edit--- @ alvis: I'm not studying about pizza!! I'm eating it!! XDDD LOL, i've just found out that papaya is high in vit C... The ones that's high in vit A are mangoes, apricots, cantaloupe(i think it's blewah in indonesia) and persimmons (kesemek in indonesia) WHAT? Apple's dry?? I think it's quite watery!! o.0 |

Alvistir@ Carrots and tomatoes are considered vegetables.. since they are grown and not fruits from trees.. (..right? xD) [like most fruits are bore from trees or their own reproductions..even bananas are products that are bore from trees.. but carrots and tomatoes have their own seeds and you need to grow them..(hmm.. i am not sure of carrots.. maybe in other kind of a way to grow them but not seeds..) so they are vegetables xD] well.. tell me if i am wrong xD |

Al. Nice. Love the name. :DD No, I am wrong. Apple doesn't have Vitamin A. Orange and Banana's has Vitamin A. As I have said, all that is orange and yellow in color has Vitamin A. My favorite fruit is Banana. I love all kind of banana's. How you eat, cook and etcetcetc. :D I know fruits are fruit if they bloom into flowers? :D So, I guess I am the one who must post a picture for 'guess the fruit game' ? Okay, So like, I've been waiting for someone to answer my question [^] And no one's been posting. I modified my post to post.  So here's a fruit to guess. Hope this fruit haven't been guessed. I agree with ukissa, fruits that are yellow/red/orange are more likely to have vit A in them...(theoretically...)^^ BTW...where's everybody?? >.< I've just remembered...i think i haven't picked my fruit... Hi redflare~ i think it's okay to join this club now...because its very dead now...so we need a lot of member to make it live again, right all?? ^^ Woah...UKissa...that fruit...looks...tasty... *Drool...Drool...Drool...* And...it has a green flesh?! wow...i just know there's another fruit that have green flesh...i just know melon the one that have green flesh~ who...whoa!! wait!! really?! orange contain vitamin A?! now i must eat that fruit!! XD!! But...i hate when i must separate the seed from the fruit...so it's annoying sometimes when eating orange...-_-'' Hmm...i don't know a lot about fruit or vegetable gardening...so i don't know where carrot or tomatoes come from adel...XD!! Yes zero...it was very familiar...its looks like a durian mixed with orange... but...i think i have seen that fruit too...hmm maybe its from place near cibubur or bogor in java?? i can't recall it...DX!! hi guys. just randomly passing by, because i got excited with the new fruit pic. I KNOW THAT, lol. it was supposed to be the fruit that i'll let you people guess, but i changed my mind. clue: 6 letters. wahahahahahahahaha!! i won't guess it to give other people the chance. :D ok, i'll now return to my world (uhuhuhuhuhuhuhu . . . XD indeed, the people you mentioned (except for me) are very much active in the forums. by the way, the word "pinoy" is the filipino slang term for Filipino. :)) the normal turon here does not really look like that. presentable ones like that of the picture can be found in restaurants and most probably costs more (because are all those other stuff added like ice cream or chocolate syrup). but either way, they're still made of bananas wrapped in lumpia wrappers. they all tasete the same. try one if ever you get the chance! XD why not? not only are you introducing food from another place to your "countrymen" (lol, the word sounds so formal) in order for them to have a taste of its culture, you are earning money as well! XD thank you for the prayers. i was able to accomplish everything i need to do even if i had so many sleepless nights, literally. and i somehow was able to fight all the temptations. thanks. ^_^ tenji-san let us wait for the say of the person who is in charge here, okay? but you can still talk with us in this thread even though you're still not "officially" a member. :D |
