Fuko, right!!! She is sooooo kawaii :3 (the star was cute =D dribble...SHOOT!! gimme FIVE!!! ow ow ow ow...XD) I think she might be my new fav female character in Clannad. We'll have to see how the story goes XD |

@ abien-san I'm not an expert in these things but i think that the difference between 4:3 & widescreen is the size. I think 4:3 is like regular while just like the name implies the widescreen fits more on a large screen. It's the same when you go buy DVDs. You want something that has a bigger resolution. I would suggest getting the widescreen version. That also depends on the size of your PC screen. @ Suzaku-san The thing that makes Fuko so adorable is not only in what she does but the voice that Ai Nonoka-san provides. Her voice really brings out the spunkiness & cuteness in Fuko. In fact the 4th episode (which i'll talk about later) will dive deeper into her story & why she does what she does. Also if you remember the construction worker Yuusuke he'll play a role in her story. @ DAngel-san Nagisa's mom is fully brought to life by the voice of Kikuko Inoue-san! I just love her voice ever since i first heard her as Belldandy. She really brings a loving & gentle feel to all the characters she portrays! *Regular post* Episode 4 is so far my fave of the ones shown so far. You get more insight to Fuko's storyline. Also for those Tomoyo lovers out there she is at her BEST in this episode. And i assumed correctly about the beating Youhei gets in this one...not once but 3 times!!!! The last being the best...one of them he gets it so bad they had to blur out his face. Tomoyo hits over 1000 in this episode (with some help from Tomoya!). Kotomi is also present in this episode...& well she's as slow as always. It's cute when she turns to see Tomoya while still in her kneeling position..like she just shuffles over. What else....Botan makes another appearance yet he doesn't do much. Mainly saying 'puhi'. I'll stop there for now...i want to know what others think of this episode. Also be on a look out for this scene...where Youhei is in some battle game....this screenshot is a reference to Little Busters!....in LB you are occasionally put in sparring battles. Here is an example between the 2 scenes. On the right is from Little Busters! & on the left is a scene from CLANNAD episode 4.   *EDIT* Episode 4 subbed version is out for those who want to see it.  |

Just saw episode four now, and boy there were a few things that happened. First, that combo (with one kick from Tomoya) was brutal. It wasn't really 1013 together, since she kicked him about three separate times. Sunohara is like Team Rocket from Pokemon, you just keep hitting 'em in the air, but they never truly die. XD Episode four displayed more of Fuko's cuteness even more! The "one, two, one, two, one, two" scene from Tomoya to Fuko was extremely cute. Then to make it more cute, she gets into a dream like state when Tomoya puts a straw up her nose. She starts to blow on a tissue since she thought something strange came up her nose. That Ichinose girl in the library is pretty similar to Yuki from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, and she's pretty cute, too.

Episode 4 was great^^. The last scene was a little weird though. The memorable parts are definitely the straw and the combo. Oh wait, don't forget the gaming scene and the rooftop confession ^^; |

@ SkyL-san That song is also on disc 1 of the OST....although the one on the OST is the original version...so it isn't as jazzy as the 'memento' version...since those are all remixed/arranged songs. For those who downloaded the 1st disc from me it's track 19. @ DAngel-san I agree that scene with Fuko-chan was absolutely adorable....the straw up her nose...the daydreaming....the '1..2..1..2...'..the way she always calls Tomoya 'weird person'.... *regular post* So i guess everyone should know the reason she's doing what she's doing now right? There is a little spoiler on the first page when i posted the pic of the characters...Onee-san ^___^! So is Fuko-chan what you think she is...well...you'll find that out in due time. Also Tomoyo made a note of why she can't be bothered by Youhei anymore....this is important later on. Cause of her reputation she made a decision to do what she is about to do.....however later on it will be a problem for Tomoya. |

@Abien, I just realized no one answered you're question for the WS versions. I have the WS version of CLANNAD and I must say I prefer those versions better since the 1.33/1 (FS) version seems a bit cutoff with the scenery that dramatically enhances the moments and visuals. But it seems like the subbed WS version (that's much more HQ than the FS version we've been watching so far) is gonna be behind the FS. For me I'm gonna watch the normal one for story and the WS version for story and visuals XD I have pics of them in MPC running the FFDShow Codec. Sharpen (msharpen, high quality, strength=50 threshold=30) Postprocessing (Auto, Strength=100%, Luma) and Blur & NR (Denoise 3D luma4, chorma 3, time 6 w/ HQ checked) The pics are taken in JPG at 65% quality Here's 4 pics of the normal:     And Here's 4 pics of the WS Version:     I'm pretty sure you have noticied a darker picture in the WS version. It seems SS & Eclipse screwed up the encoding settings since H.264 has a issue of looking darker at lower bitrates. Good thing there's a fix for it. The color of CLANNAD is crucial for the visuals and the impact it's supposed to have For FFDShow (or related codecs that uses it) Enable Picture Properties and Set: Luminance Gain 135 L. Offset 1 Gamma C 1.00 R 1 G 1 B 1 Hue 0 Saturation 70 Colorize 0 Nothing else checked I normally use this ever a video is in lower bitrates at a higher resolutions like 540p for CLANNAD WS I'm using. H.264 generally have coloring issues. XVids don't get this problem though so I don't run the added process on those vids. Now here's the change:     >.>; it's like someone wiped the smog off my monitor!!!!!!! Hope this answers question about WS and FS versions. just finish d/l the clannad soundtrack, i really love the one called "Hurry Starfish" and "Meaningfull way to pass time" it's kinda remind me of old rpg background music from PS1, but i can't recall the game

That whole scene at the rooftop. Remember Nagisa is trying to revive the theatre club...so she was sort of acting....& hoping she'll get permission to do so. Ryou on the other hand thought it was Nagisa that was confessing her love...since the reason she was up there was that Youhei & Tomoya convinced her that someone wanted to see her. The dialogue that insued was kinda dirty....about why can't it be a girl...etc. etc.... @ SkyL-san I think having the WS depends on the size of the screen you are using...having anything less than 19 inches doesn't really make it look better....cause it feels stretched on a smaller screen. So if you have anything less than 19 inches it doesn't matter what format you are watching. That's just my take on it. Anyways anyone who has anything less than 19 SHOULD be upgrading their screen anyway! *EDIT* I just realized this...congrats SkyL-san on getting married....Gendou style! *throws rice* @ Raizoken-san Oh! you have the OST now!...it's THAT good isn't it!!! The majority of the 3 discs are all masterful! Everything is over 1 minute long. My personal faves are the Nagisa renditions, Ushio (Calm Tide), Yuki Nohara (Snow Field), & Gensou (Fantasy) to name a few. All the vocal tracks are awesome. Ana by Lia you can sing along too! |

huh? good? this is masterpieces! it's been a long time since i enjoy instrumental music this much, (i even put some of those songs for my ringtones xD) for some reason some of clannad's song remind of of something. As i mention before Hurry starfish and meningfull way to pass time remind me of some old rpg games, Ana kinda remind me of a religious new year's song. @ Raizoken-san Yeah...i've heard that version before but i'm not entirely sure where that one is from. It may well be from some limited edition CD....i may have to go look for it now. Thanks for reminding me! *bows* The music for CLANNAD is one of the main reasons this is my fave 'visual novel'...the story has alot to do with it...but the music is awe-inspiring. I do hear some similarities to the Lunar series in some of the music...but just a tad. For Ana i more listen to the semi-long one...the 5 min song rather than the 8 min one. There are a few remixed of it as well but those the music sort of drown out Lia's voice to the point you can barely hear her. One is also so distorted that it isn't that good. Some remixes of the songs are VERY well done...some well not so much. |

@Izumo For me I have a 1680x1050 Resolution 15.4" screen. For me, it's all about resolution. It's like, I don't even see the individual pixels themselves anymore so a light arc actually looks like a slight arc without a "stairs" effect placed on it. I love the osts. They sound really really good. I want the other piano music cd. It's not the one with the bear on the front cover, it's the other one. I forgot the name >.< Haha yea, thanks Izumo XD |

@izumo you mean the one in memento album? they change everything become a bit techno hmm im not a really big fan of techno, from that album i like nagisa warm piano arrange, ushio, and shining in the sky talking about Lia, yakusoku is great too. She's actually one of may fave singer, but i never been able to find one of her PV @SkyL you mean Mabinogi Clannad arrange album? btw i d/l it using torrent, you can try d/l it from http://www.isohunt.com/download/27025014/clannad+soundtrack the seed is quite low, but im still seeding it btw a.f.k fan rejoice, because they start subbing for this anime xD
