@Maiku & Ray - Is Friday possible for LP2? Friday is a much better day for me, since I can stay up until like 3 in the morning. I can still play Saturday night, but I need to be up relatively early on Sunday (9:30) and I will be spending the night down at my cousin's house to keep an eye on him (even though he's like 16). @Izumo-san - I have Killzone 3 CE, Pokemon Black and The 3rd Birthday already pre-ordered. Dissidia [012] finally showed up on our computer, so I will probably put a pre-order down on that tomorrow (they're adding Tifa! :D). I don't know if I will pick up HD Neptunia or not. I like the concept, but haven't seen gameplay footage yet. I might just wait for you to pick it up and tell me what it's like. @Maiku - People can say whatever they want about the PSP, but at least it managed to compete with Nintendo, which is more than you can say about pretty much any other handheld that has ever tried. They didn't outsell the DS (except at certain points in Japan) but, for the first time in ages, at least there was a major alternative. The PSP2 looks alright, and I love the idea behind devs being able to allow their games to be transferred over to the system from the PS3, but the biggest deciding factor at the moment is, of course, the price. I'm betting $300, but they will need to go to $250 if they want to stay competitive with Nintendo. If they price it at $350 however, then I expect the system to go the way of the PSP Go.    |

I think 300-350 is a fair asking price for a system of that power, and remain a competitive price point in the battle against Nintendo. $400 or more would be the way of the PSPGo. Otherwise, I think Sony has another 60million on their hands. 3G plan better be reasonably priced as well, though I'm going to be skipping on it no matter what and just play over wi-fi.  |

I'm going to watch a movie for the time being while I wait to hear back from Maiku. He still hasn't been able to get his PS3 connected, so unless things take a turn for the better, then it looks like our LP2 session is out of the question. |

@ Maiku-san I have to disagree with you to a degree with your opinion that Sony isn't reinventing with the NGP. This device is the very first portable with dual analog sticks, 3G capabilites, a track pad & power that rivals anything portable out there. It has the potential to be revolutionary if Sony supports it & that the software is there for it. The thing i believe that will be the biggest potential for the NGP to succeed is Call of Duty game. No matter how crappy the game is people will still buy it. With 3G this game will be EVERYWHERE! Of course it is all in Sony's court. It is still early & the device shown was just a prototype which can change as time goes by. With cloud service coming soon the idea of playing a game on PS3 than having the ability to continue the same game on the go with NGP is insane. That is the exact same idea that Kojima-san hope will happen. I have nothing against the 3DS but all the complaints that i have heard directed at NGP saying every game that is shown were just ports. Can't you say the same for the 3DS? The 3DS will be big cause Nintendo knows their audience but other than the 3D the 3DS is just another sku of the DS. Nintendo to me is not moving the industry forward...just look at the Wii. The machine is old tech but cause of a popular gimmick it sold tons, and good on them. However hardcore gamers like us want to have the latest tech, they want advancments which is why i believe that the NGP is so important. That is just me though & i will buy a NGP when it comes out...the 3DS not so much. ******************** Update: A crappy thing happened yesterday when i was copying savedata, without realizing i accidently deleted my Rorona savedata. I still have the system data though. Still i have to start all over again to get the other endings & other trophies...SUCKS!! Grinding in Final Fantasy 13 for a couple of days now.....yeah....*sigh* Playing Disgaea 3 again to unlock some trophies which is easy since my guys are overpowered but still it will be time consuming doing the item world stuff. EDIT: i went to EBgames (Gamestop) & put a pre-order for AR Tonelico & as i was talking to the guy working, talking about games we are anticipating. He mentioned that the ICO/SoTC was coming out in March!!! That was news to me cause i thought it was coming in summer....DAMN!!! There is another $60 put towards a game. So far spent $$$ on Killzone 3/Hyperdimension Neptune/AR Tonelico & now Team Ico collection....my budget is taking a serious hit.  |

[@Izumo] Is that confirmed? That bit about the Team Ico [HD] collection? Cause even on Gamestop's website, they don't have a full confirmation date of its release nor a real cover image yet. If it was coming out in two months, how come there's not a lot of talk on it? TLG is pushed back, we know that for sure (not sure why really, twice now...). Also the little teaser trailer for that is I still believe footage from the PS2. Too epic to release footage of PS3's graphics? Probably. Another note, think I'm gonna trade in Madden 11 soon. Too many issues and honestly want some credit for another future game. I haven't played 3D Dot Heroes in a long time, not sure if I want to trade that in or not. Not sure what I'd get for it. Love how all gamestops try to rip you off when trading in games. At least when I lived in the city I could get some deal. Still remember I got like 35$ alone for trading in MW2 and that game's still almost full price...

The insane power of the machine is, in my mind, not revolutionizing handheld gaming so much as refining it. I will admit, after seeing the trailer for Little Deviants, the track pad on the back has certainly piqued my interest, and I've already got a couple of game ideas stirring in the back of my mind. Being a CoD fanboy, which seems to be synonymous with bad taste in gaming, I look forward to a full blown CoD on a handheld, though as I won't be getting the 3G version even when I get the NGP, I likely won't buy it. 1 a year is often enough. In regards to the 3DS, 3D isn't the only thing they've added, in case you didn't notice the multi-tasking and motion and gyro sensors. Though take a moment and think, all ye nonbelievers in 3D, of what glasses-free technology means to those of us who do enjoy the effects, like myself. Suddenly there is a mad push on glasses free 3D everywhere, as can be evidenced at CES. Of course, 3DS is as much a new DS as the NGP is a new PSP. " A popular gimmick that moved the industry forward. It brought about Kinect and Move and is bringing gaming to people who would never have touched them before. My Grandpa could get into Wii sports. It's changed how "non-gamers," now "casual gamers" play and view video games. If changing the way we play and getting more people to play isn't moving the industry forward, then I don't know what is. I'm glad Hardcore gamers can enjoy the Wii, with SMG, SMG2, RS2, S&P2, DKCR, KEY, 007GE, SSBB, TvsC, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, MHTri, among many others. Hardcore gamers will always want the latest tech and advancements, which is why I'll be getting a 3DS AND NGP. |

@Maiku - I'm a big non-believer in 3D. :D Anyway, Imma stay out of this little conversation, which I admit is a little odd for me. Out of the two systems, I have more interest in the NGP than the 3DS, mainly because I do not buy in to the 3D stuff and see no reason at all to upgrade from an XL. @Izumo-san - He was most likely talking about a March 1 or March 2 release date. Dates like that are almost always placeholder dates at Gamestop/EB Games. People are complaining that the NGP has nothing but ports? The system was only just revealed and isn't out until Christmas, at the earliest. The 3DS is only about 2 months away and has almost nothing but ports or cash grab games. Well, I finished Alpha Protocol last week. Not that bad of a game, I had a lot of fun with the dialog system. I enjoyed being a snarky, mocking, super agent d-bag. I really should get back to Atelier Rorona now, but Atlus is having a huge PSP sale on the PS Store. I might get Crimson Gem Saga (thought about Kenka Bancho, Knights in the Knightmare, Class of Heroes and Yggdra Union, but none of those seem like games I would enjoy, in terms of gameplay at least). |

I have simply one things to say. - Cough. - TALES OF GRACES F WOOOOOOOOOOOO. - Cough. - And that is all ~ :D But really, I've find myself enoying the news of Graces F moreso than the NGP or 3DS. OF course, that's probably because it's coming out a lot sooner than the new systems and is only a localized game coming from Japan, but well, been waiting. >>; I heard something that Haseo said though about it being ported to Wii? I haven't been able to find anything about that myself, though. If it's true I'm leading a revolution through the streets in true fanboy fashion. Afterwards me and the 6 other people that show up can grab some coffee. >_>; |

Anybody want to play the KZ3 beta? I just tried out one of the maps with bots. Still gotta get used to other stuff, it's been SO long since I've played a shooter. If anyone is up for that or AC:B (Chest Capture) later tonight, I'm down. After 12:30 ish my time (eastern).

My Ps3 is currently connected to the internet! Hopefully there will be no lag or anything of the sort and I'll be able to game with you guys. As it should be! I'll definitely be playing the KZ3 Beta. My brother is enjoying it, so I don't see any reason I shouldn't :) ::DA:: I'll see if my brother is willing to let me use his copy of AC:B. He's been too busy with BO and LBP2 lately, so I think the chances are pretty high. In the meantime, when I go to preorder Pokemon Black at the closest gamestop (40 minutes >.>) I'll try to pick up either Black Ops or LBP2. Again, I'll attempt to see if Steve will send either of them up to me (though either of these two would be unlikely). Right now I have: Lost Planet 2, Red Dead Redemption, BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and Borderlands, along with any PSN game I've ever purchased and any MP Betas/Demos I can download. ::Ray and Jon:: I think that means its about time to stop checking our Facebooks and start beating LP2! |

[@Maiku/Haseo] Nice! AC:B online is great, have you played the story though? AC or AC2? Though the only is whatever, let me know when you want to play. It's good you have your PS3 again, my pending friend request is still standing by so add me any time. If you need my PSN again it's on my profile. If you and me play AC:B together, I can help rank you up fast (if you're used to the type of game it is). KZ3 beta is free, and it was surprisingly so small in file size. The original PSN+, my friend said was around 3GBs. I'm going to dig more into the beta and honestly, I might pre-order it. I recently spent a lot of money online and ordered a mic (here by next week so you guys can hear my sexy voice again), but I got a huge chunk of new year's money from my parents. I feel bad about it, but yeah if I get KZ3, I might not get any other game this year until AC3. Maybe the Team Ico bundle, but I'm not sure and that's a few months away still. But for now I'm good with AC:B and KZ3 (if I decide to buy it fully). Gonna trade in Madden 11, probably 3D Dot Heroes, and Narutimate Storm 1. I'll be available all weekend (or any day of the week since I'm still no in school yet), so just send me a message before inviting me so I know. Maybe we can get a party of Gendou.com people. I know Izumo pre-ordered it, not sure if Jon is going to get it nor Ray. But damn a party of all of us would be pretty badass. I miss playing a shooter, think it's time I get back to my owning ways.

That's called Playstation Move. And yeah I played more of the Beta, did horrible. I know it's been a while since I've played COD/any shooter, but this was ridiculous. But to be fair, the other team was mostly spawn camping and were higher ranked and had other unlocks. Might change my mind about pre-ordering it now, might wait for something else or just save money. Guess the KZ online world can have a bunch of whores as well as other shooters. The only recent games released this year so far are really LBP2 and soon KZ3. Not interested in getting either. I'll have to check gamestop again to see what's soon coming out. Anybody up for AC:B lemme know. Once I get a mic it'll be so much easier to play (to some extent). [@Maiku] Hurry and get AC:B so I can have better people to play with. Do you still have a mic? Who else here said they have AC:B? It'd be cool to get a party going in that game. Not sure if the party breaks up after each session though. I'll have to see.
