Haven't really been in the spirite of drawing. too much studying, and I have my SATs on Saturday. Please wish me luck! Hopefully, I'll only have to take it once... @ich: I see much talent! It's wonderful to be able to just take a tablet and draw like that wihtout predrawing or all of those weird body shape-things!I'm not very good at completely anime style, so I must respect your style very much. @rin8: Not very familiar with J-rock and the like... I like those realistic-style portraits that you draw the best. And the remark I made before about maybe filling out the figure before drawing clothes over still stands :) @shinigami raven: No pressure :) Keep on drawing. And post more of your stuff. @dfly: wow, watercolor? It's great how you can use more mediums than just plain old pencil :D Now, as for me... doodled this in AP Bio today. Not the best idea, considering that I have myself a test on Thursday. But the drawing itch was there, and I just couldn't resist... Guess who? Clue: I drew him more girly than usual, he has the infamous braid (BRAID!) and his right arm is completely drawn wrong but I hope you get the idea.   As usual, ignore the stupid comment that Imageshack put on. Not my fault. And it's Edo-kun. I love him very much. I have wall scroll of him and Al. |

I knew I recalled there being a request thread, but not seeing it for a few pages must mean it's long dead. I'll guess I'll have to see what the thread creator has to say. It's mainly a concept of two characters I came up with in a random discussion (and through a temporary lapse of sanity) with my friend over PSN chat one night, I've been referencing them when me and my friends hang out and sometimes here on the forums. They are kind of like the little Angel and Devil you see in comic situations that sit on the persons shoulders and tell them what they should do in that situation, except for me they're an explanation of why I typically hate things (media wise) and pick stuff apart. I like to call them Jade and Cynic (maybe Cynnal would be a better name, or something of that nature) because of how jaded, critical and cynical people see me as. Jade tells me things will suck unless they prove themselves otherwise (don't get my hopes up in other wordds) and says I should keep paying attention to the things that have proven themselves good in my eyes, and Cynic tears apart every little detail of things that Jade says will suck. What a crazy couple. :) Any interest in humoring a crazy young man by drawing up characters that sprang forth from the insane depths of his backwards mind? :D (I have descriptions of how I picture them, but I can't draw my way out of a paper bag.) |

Sorry I haven't been on here; school just started again, and right now I'm on break so I have more time to draw and write. @ich: Why yes, I do happen to be an Air Gear fan! I like your lines especially; I couldn't make clean lines like that to save my life. And your next project... Taiga from Toradora! She's looking very good :) I do think that the anatomy on Kururu-chan is a bit wonky (meaning her legs and arms) but her face is beautiful. That reminds me... here's an Air Gear art of mine that I drew awhile ago but never inked. This is only a WIP:   Once again, ignore the stupid thing at the bottom of the picture. I have no idea how it got there. and @Jonathan: ... Requests should be okay, I guess? I don't have much of an opinion about them. |

XD Haha, incidentally, I'm also displaying an Air Gear fan art as well. (Though mine pales in comparison. ^^;;) -.- Excuse the crappiness, I know it sounds like a lame excuse but the scanner was having a bad day. I mainly did this to practice coloring since I don't have much experience in that field so I didn't really take this too seriously. @Ich: I always love to see your WIPs. It's fun to see how everything comes together. Great stuff you've got there. ^__^ @Suzaku: o.o Oh my gosh, the other day I was looking through some old photos and I guess I saved one of your old works from like 2 years ago of your representations of certain Gendou members like Maia and Blue. :) Good times... Alright, if anyone would seriously take this on, I'd be more than grateful for it. Kind of wanted a drawing of them, but like I said, I suck at drawing anything. Jade- Fitting in with the loose meaning of 'being jaded', she is the voice that tells me that something will be bad and not to get excited about anything, unless it proves itself to be good after I've been through it. She also likes to keep my interest focused on the things I know to be good (So shun upcoming things and stick to what has already proven to be good). For this reason she's a succubus character, attractive and seductive to keeps ones attention focused on what's good rather than allowing one to look around for new good things. Something like what Imppy did one or two pages back in this thread. Cynic- The overly critical one, ready to tear apart the things that Jade says will be bad or not to be hopeful about, criticizing it as much as possible. Generally attempts to make critical observations or points and takes interest in few things since he has little faith in the ability of certain people or companies to create anything good. Just a regular human character, black shades and a trenchcoat are his attempt to be out of the norm and not a 'mindless sheep' as well as trying to not reveal too much of himself. |

But since most of the members are out already, that thread died.. well anyways, to be straight so you mean that your character Jade : is somewhat similar to morrigan in style since you said that she is somewhat a succubus type right? so in other words Jade wants her OWNER to focus on things that he can do only? is she an aggresive type or somewhat shy? Cynic : I already have his image in my mind. The only thing I need is what he looks like? @Ich- I was referring to something similar to what you did 2 pages back, not Imppy, typo. It would be great if you would take it on for me. Jade: Well, seductive, she wants the 'owner' to focus on her, since she's kind of like the embodiment of the favorite things of the person, the things that have already proven to be good. An example: I love Final Fantasy VII, she keeps my attention focused on that (one of the things she reflects) and has me shun the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII because Square-Enix has never managed to make a decent FF game and this time is not likely to be different. Something like that, the basic meaning of jaded. As for attitude, uh, not sure whether shy or aggressive, just a seductive kind of personality. Not shy or angry, just attempts to use her looks. If you want a choice between those two however, slightly aggressive I guess. Originally I had described her to my friend as the way I did before, with an outfit showing logo's or titles of the things I actually liked and didn't tear apart on every level, things like FFVII, Valkyria Chronicles, Seven Samurai, Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. I didn't describe that here however because trying to draw logo's or words on the shreds of clothing succubus characters usually wear probably wouldn't be within possibility or would throw off the look. I apparently have the mind of an artist, able to visualize unique concepts and styles and characters, but unfortunately fate likes to play cruel games and gave me the physical artistic skill of a small child. Cynic: Just think of a very cynical guy, who can make critical comments on anything about something. I guess the intelligent type is more along his lines, since you need some intellect and insight to tear something down with fine details as opposed to a bully type who just yells "This sucks, I can't believe how much this sucks" and repeats that a few times in a mindless, reasonless way. |

[ j o n a t h o n ] - /sweat to be honest your explanation makes things more crucial on my part.. ok then I already have some images in my mind bout Jade and actually I already have available body frames that I can use for this one. To make things more clear, here's the things I was able to comprehend Jade [ Female ] - looks will be somewhat like aggresive type, I prefer to use Etna [disgaea] as the main body frame, I will just modifiy the body lining and some stuff to be added. Is it ok for you if I make all the face design, esp hair, bust, outfit etc? if yes then let me handle bout the design for your Jade. - possible explanation of traits will be reflected in the drawing itself, as much as possible, im going to draw it according to your own trait description. Cynic - I have this on my mind completely ;] its up to you whether your going to accept it or not. Im going to post the line-art here by next week for your approval Side note : btw my current drawing style is somewhat similar to Square Enix Kingdom Hearts modified version.. is it ok with you? and also, do you have any settings for this? or you just want me to draw them both in straigth plain?

@Ich- I leave it totally up to you at this point. If I start explaining things again I'll probably confuse you even further. The setting? The only setting I can think of is sitting on left and right shoulder (one on right and one on left) because that was the original idea behind them, that they sit on my shoulder and tell me to hate things, like consciousnesses. I think the Etna thing would be a good basic idea, just not that child-like in appearance as Etna is. I was thinking Morrigan style. Cynic, honestly he doesn't have any defining characteristics since he's overall pretty plain, so whatever ideas you have are great. Not sure what you mean by KH Modified version style though, I don't play KH games, dislike them. Is there any work you've posted here with the same style? |
