My advice for those playing the visual novel right now or plan to play it...i suggest once you get to the After Story part of the game STOP!!! You don't want to be spoiled when the anime series is going on, it might ruin your overall experience. I wished the anime was shown long ago, even though it is an ending that will bring smiles to your face, the path to get there is littered with some of the saddess moments in an anime series...in my opinion that is. However it is your choice & i'm not here to make you stop playing. It's so good to see that a few of you are finally realizing the beauty of the story & why it is one of the best visual novels ever made. ******************* Anyways just finished watching episode 6. At times it was difficult to watch even though i knew what was happening it still was tough. I thought Kyotoani did a great job on Misae's route & telling the story of 'Shima-kun', sure they left out some moments but overall in the 2 episodes they managed to fit what made her route so great. Of course that has alot to do with Shima-kun, the seiyuu did a wonderful job on showing his emotions & making the character come to life. Another is Misae-san herself...her character although not as prominent in the overall story she too is one of the more developed characters (like Sunohara). Back to back routes in the story (Sunohara & Misae) that to me are one of the best in the visual novel. Some scenes in the episode that i thought were beautifully animated. - Shima-kun as a girl was so delightful. Albiet it was short in the anime seeing it on screen was just alot of fun!! She...i mean Shima-kun was actually pretty cute!!! <3 - Yuki & Saki are pretty good friends & it was nice to see them try to hook Shima-kun & Misae together. - MISAE-SAN IN A YUKATA!!!!! enough said <3 - Misae & Shima-kun sharing a tender moment...a beautiful scene animated beautifully!! - THE CAT!!!! again LOVE the way Kyotoani presented the cat in the series...makes me want to get one!! So delightfully cute!! - Misae on all fours!!! RAWR!!!!....you'll see :DDDDD Other moments that i thought were funny. - Misae's super wrestling moves on Shima-kun...WOW!! She did a power-bomb! - Yukine's posse near the end...don't look at her funny that's for sure!! Speaking of Yukine...it looks like she's next!  |

@Izumo Yes, will do Cap'n XD After Kotomi, Toshio, fuko and Nagisa then Saaaaaaa... Just finished Kappei's and Sunohara's route... Kappei... Has a really Cute face that made him looked like a girl .-. (I mean, c'mon XDD Everyone who played the VN Could have guessed he's a guy in one guess) Rofl,, I never think of Sunohara to be like that XDD the ending part is gonna be told in the After story arc of the anime, eh I Guess? So Episode 6 is out? Well, cant wait to watch it XD  |

omfg i never thought misae's arc gonna give me this goosebump! hell i think this time, the anime version is better than the VN version, cos we got to see shima kun in girls uniform! xD he's more girly than misae rofl. if i don't don't play the VN i think i probably wouldn't notice how important the three words that Shima said to Misae about how he like her and YAY for Yukine's arc next

Maybe the most epic moment in episode six is that kyoani made a kiss scene! Finally after like a few years or something. I think the last kiss scene was the last episode of haruhi. Kyoani, make sure you do that again in after story or else she wont appear D:. Although this episode lacks the fluency of the novel since it has to cramp everything up in two episodes, it still presents the whole story. I dident cry maybe because of all the hilarious and cute moments, like Yuusuke and his gig, along with the appearance of ibuki as a sensei, and shima wearing the grandpa dango mask. Other scenes are sweet but short. I mean, i really want nagisa to call me like how she woke tomoya up... Sigh, one can dream so much. And the fanservice! Another reference to the ending CG, misae is still as sexy as ever. :3 Well i dont comment on traps... So yea... @izumo Yea yukine's next! Even though we wont see the final spell though, lets hope that it will be as good as the rest of Clannad XD @kirky Thanks =D  |

Yes, that one was one helluva trap I must say XDD If I Didnt know him better I'd hit him the way Sunohara Hit "Somebody else"... I must say, the ending touched me, I Was on the verge of shedding tears XDD Gotta love Misae's Sexy Pose for sure <3 She will really score big time if she were to be a model with that pose, that's for sure @Raizo hey, Nice waki miko avatar.. XDD btw, Regarding that.. as you can see in the anime.. Tomoya is nagisa's boyfriend afterall.. Do you think it'd be acceptable for her if Tomoya do the final spell? but yeah,, the final spell is what Im looking for Yuki-nee Arc =/ @Xiao well... Yeah,, but the anime is like rushing everything into one episode giving us almost no time to savor the Funny and Touching moments.. That's the minus point.. But, I must commend the artwork.. It's just What I expected from this series XD Edited: @Raizo I know XD Waki miko is simply fans calling for her.. In reference of her revealing armpit (waki = armpit) so yeah XD I Was referring to Hakurei Reimu .... Putting that aside... I Thought the last spell was Tomoya's spell? XDD You know the last scene, I Was thinkin of that actually.. (But I Cant help but to be curious on what spell did she gave to sunohara though) |

| The anime is really great. I hope the ending will be a happy one. The movie was quite sad and touching. The background music use in the anime is also really touching. |

Just saw episodes 5 and 6. I gotta say, this might be my favorite arc outta the entire Clannad series so far. It was short, but so beautiful. T_T I don't why, but it appealed to me a lot, and really touched my heart. Seriously, I was crying throughout the last minutes of the 6th episode (I get moved easily but this is different). Although I still don't quite understand what was going on, the love atmosphere between Misae and Shima (totally adorable by the way XD) was simple yet meaningful. And yes, it seems like Yukine is next!! |

I saw five and six earlier today. Great two episodes, short arc indeed but I loved it. Everything's been explained so far about these two episodes, but to shortly and briefly summarized it, it was beautiful. Misae-san I love so much more now, now that I know about her past. She was so to die for when she was in high school, like that's the ideal girl to meet in your life at the perfect time, or she's in those situations that'd make any romantic move to Japan just to meet their "Misae-san". =^_______^= It did have a very meaningful ending, a few sad moments, but I loved it. And yeah, the cutie book worm who always helps Tomoya in need is next, though I'm still wondering when things are going to "switch"... Oh, and one thing I forgot to add in, it was cool seeing Yoshino-san priot to his famous rock days. XD I guess his future wife-to-be was there too. I think there was someone else in a wheel chair, but I'd have to check that later, or... something. :P

@ Suzaku-san Basically the jist of Misae's arc is that as you know she was very kind to a boy in a hospital. That boy owned a cat & as 'thank you' for her kind gesture he wanted to do something for her. Unfortunately the boy passed away before he could do so. So the 'cat' took it upon himself to fullfull his masters wishes (the premise is very similar to what Fuko did)....so the image of 'Shima' is more or less a spirit or physical form of the cat's personality. How this was able to occur is the 'item' in the pouch that 'Shima' wanted to give Misae. Anyways the 2 episodes showed the main points of her scenario like how the two of them eventually grew close to one another. The scene in the festival was extended from the visual novel which was a nice touch by Kyotoani. The item in the pouch was suppose to be a 'light orb' (you'll know more about them during Yukine's route) but they are items that grants wishes. It was empty cause it was already used when the 'cat' wanted to grant the wish of his original master. What was not shown in the anime (probably due to time restraints) is that after the festival a cat always followed Misae around. The cat waited for her return when she left after graduating & when she did the cat was always around waiting. The anime showed it briefly in the scene with Misae in front of the Boy's dorm. The line Misae says in the one scene 'So you finally were able to catch up' is very significant cause she noticed the cat around all that time & the cat finally caught her attention. As for the next scenario which as everyone should know by now is Yukine. Of all the 'independant' routes in the game hers is the most important to the overall storyline. Here you'll know more about the light orbs & there purpose. Her route is considered by many fans one of the BEST in the game even more so than the other 'main characters'...kinda fitting since originally Jun Maeda wrote her as one of the main heroines. Unfortunately the length of her story wasn't enough to be one, so she was regulated to a side character. I assume after they finish with her route in the anime the bulk of the 'After Story' will be next.  **********EDIT************ Only 2 days away until the release of the new opening & ending song for the series. Funny though that i had to custom order it from Himeya.shop cause places like cdjapan don't carry it. Also Amazon has it but i thought i saw it wasn't available for international shipping. I read that it is only available for japanese residents....unsure about this cause Himeya was able to get it for me. |

too bad I'm too preoccupied with Fate stay night right now to watch properly =__= well anyways, the latest ep. made me jerk a tear... this is really great part but too bad I am unable to watch it properly.. in compensation for my post of nuisance, is this is vid!

Oh my gosh Dark! That video made me laugh soo much. Brilliant stuff. Ep.6 was touching, I enjoyed this arc. And Misae! She's just pure amaze. I've had Lia's opening song in my head for about 2 days now. She's got such a lush voice. I've just started the VN aswell now guys. Yay :D

@ DAngel-san As far as i know the series will only have 1 opening & ending just like the first series. There will probably be some insert songs scattered throughout the series. There is alot of songs from the image albums that may be used like they did with "Over" & "Kaze no Shoujo". What i would like to hear is riya/eufonius' version of "Sora ni Hikaru" which uses the same melody as the one heard throughout the series. The song that plays when Tomoya is telling Misae about Shima-kun...that sad but uplifting music. One of my faves on the OST. ******************* Speaking of music "Toki wo.. & Torch" were definitely worth the wait!!!! Such beautiful songs from Lia, Jun Maeda & comp. The english lyrics if you read them (Atashi-san was quick!!!) tell some hints at the remaining story. As Atashi-san suggested the song is definitely from Tomoya's POV...look for some interesting tidbits of information from the lyrics they tell alot. As for Torch this is also a fabulous contribution to the CLANNAD library. Lia's performance for both songs are spectacular, after listening to her sing, i can't picture anyone else doing it. It's like these songs were made for her. Anyways downloaded episode 7. In the process of watching it as i type...although i'll probably watch it a few times. So far Yukine looks really cute in some scenes. Especially when she makes a face similar to this ^.^, adorable!!! I'll make my points after i watch it... |

@izumo I was quite disappointed at Toki wo Kizamu Uta at first, since the song dosent really flow well, and it feels like its more of an extension rather than a song... but after seeing the lyrics... I shed manly tears... Its such a great song. And TORCH is great! Anyways, episode 7... It looks like the alternative world is going to have a change, which is great. =D Yukine will make a great wife with her cooking skills, a good listener and friend, and handles children well (although not as great as tomoyo! *fanboyism*) Haaaa..... The part about her brother is a bit confusing though... And nagisa should have just bought a leash for tomoya. At the very least, i hope that she will learn that dating the main character is a hassle. But hey, you get quite a lot of screen time. XD And yay for tomoyo~! Wonderful kicks as usual~ |
