Aan: The tilde is basically what gives the strenght to the vowel when you pronounce a word...for example when you say Mother in Spanish "Mamá" (the a with the tilde can be found once you put alt + 160) The tilde is located at the last end so when you pronounce it, the strenght goes to the last a, as Ma-maa. you make it sound stronger at the end...otherwise it would sound like mahmah. with no power in any of the two As. Now I don't know if I confused the heck out of you >_< Let me know okies...I'll try to upload a soundclick archive of me saying the words with tilde and without so you can hear the difference! ^-^ |

Ok, I think this won't help too much but at least is something somehow related to the topic right now in this class XDD: A word is "aguda" when it has the accent on the last syllable A word is "grave" when it has the accent on the syllable before the last one. A word is "esdrújula" when it has the accent on the syllable before the one before the last one XDD. so, this are some examples: Hola (Hello) = Ho-la => is grave, because the accent is on the syllable before the last one. Amor (love) = a-mor => is aguda, because the accent is on the last syllable. Pánico (panic) = Pá-ni-co => is esdrújula, because the accent is on the syllable before the one that is before the last one XDD... So... now some rules for using the tilde: The words that are agudas and are finished in a vowel or the consonants n or s, must have a tilde. For example: armonÃa (harmony) = ar-mo-nÃa The words that are graves and do NOT end in a vowel or the consonant n or s, must have a tilde. For example: árbol (tree) = ár-bol. All the words that are esdrújulas must have a tilde. ok that's it for now XDD... if you have any questions, just ask!   |

And Just like Kei said..."Acento" is the word used to describe that strenght of voice you give to a vowel...like in hola...the power goes into the "o", now the reason why it doesn't have a "tilde" is because there is rules, and Hola doesn't need it for being a "grave" word, grave words can have the tilde only if they end in something that is not n, s or a vowel...now Ho-la ends in "a" a vowel...so the "o" doesn't take the tilde. ^-^ DN: sIII Ayer en la noche fui DJ...hoy no creo poder, pero mañana seguro q si..^-^ Fue muy divertido ser Dj de Gendou.com ^-^ |

Genial!...Estamos activos...bueno cuando tenga mi conexion propia seguro que estare mas por aca...mientras tanto...x_x Aun quiero que sea Diciembre...pido a gritos que esté cerca el Festival Matsuri de este año...quiero repetir en el concurso de karaoke... Mañana mi hermanita cumple 10 años...se esta haciendo grande... Y aun les debo las fotos del Kamen pasado, asi que en estos dias estare posteando alguna que otra foto que consiga...
