I can give you the jist of it but if you want the full sypnosis i suggest reading it at Wikipedia....CLANNAD plot & characters. The link does reveal spoilers so be very wary of it if you don't want the story. As for my explanation....based on knowledge from the game. The series revolves around a high schooler named Tomoya. Cause of events in his family he lives a rebel life...more of a delinquent....a loner. Due to an incident with his father he is injured & therefore unable to participate in his love basketball. He meets 5 girls that depending on the path in the game you have endings with. Each girl has her own story. The main heroine is Nagisa who occasionally has the habit of saying 'Goo" at end of some sentences. Kinda like the other heroines in past series based on Key games. Ayu's Uguu & Misuzu's Gao. Personally i think the anime will follow in Nagisa's path....believe me it's a story that will leave you in.....not sure if i should say it......it's good. Anyways meeting with Nagisa changes Tomoya's life....he has visions of a bleak world...where no life exists except this girl. Over time he learns more & more...eventually entering this world. This girl plays a major role in the story of CLANNAD & i don't want to reveal anymore secrets. Let's just say it is very memorable & emotional. Like past series AIR & KANON....you'll be taken on an emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes the ending is not what you are expecting for or hoping for....T__T. I said too much. My advice....just sit back & enjoy the ride....in the end you'll feel something...i guarantee it. To me it is a game & hopefully an anime i'll remember for years to come & i hope everyone who sees it will feel the same way.  |

Nah, thanks for the game torrent anyways for Tomoyo After. I read about it before, but you just saved me a lot of time, so thank you again. I'll try some searching on my own, to see if there's a Tomoyo Fighter torrent that's either healthier then the ones you speak of, or even better, parts of the game available for ddL. I wouldn't bet on it, but I've come across a few before, so who knows. Anyways, I heard episode two already released today. I need to ask my dad to get me my faster internet, and once I have it I can dL torrents like nothing, and more then one, too. ^_^

if its a harem series I will be taking it with a pinch of salt.So far I do not really see what the hype is about.As for air and kanon all I can say is that if its gonnna follow similar patterns then I might just drop the series after a few episodes. I am beginning to think there is some evil,dementad otakus(the yakuza of anime 0.o?) controlling the online anime community because of all the wild rumours surrounding certain series which may or may not be good every year. Take Suzumiya Haruhi for example,as far as I can see it was a surprise hit even thou light novels were released prior to the anime.But I did not see the same overly anticipated hype surrounding it before its release as it was not super popular among the online community yet.This may not seem so obvious for other series but it does exist and to a very bad extent.Similarly lucky star also had that aura about it like clannad does now.I'm not saying its bad but will you even watch it seriously if it wasnt so publicised? Final word,i will watch but i am looking out for the unseen gems too. |

Wow. The 2nd episode was really Air-sad. Wow... ------ @Quint I watch the animes regardless whether or not they are popular. It's probably the same for anyone that's here in this thread. We all probably watch the anime without any pre-bias. Second I don't care about anyone's opinions but mine. I'll be the judge of what I think. Screw the otakus. It's their personal opinions as well as I have mine! As for the harem thing, I really don't care about that aspect. For me, it's just another opportunity to see another world and see new characters. And about mangas... People in general don't like to read you know (excluding the some). ------ To add on to what Izumo said, Watch the ED. I just realized that it already shows the major themes and the future for Nagisa and Tomoya. XD I can't believe I didn't watch the background. ------ About Melon Bread have you guys noticed that there are more and more animes having that? Myself; Yourself I know had it. I'm wondering if they're making a reference to SnS or I'm just reading to deep into the animes @_@  |

heard clannad is real good. i'm definitely not going to miss it, but i will start on it after my exams... how can u miss a show with 5 bishoujos inside??? lol just jk. the story plot kinda different and outstanding.

@ SkyL-san Yes...that is indeed the original version of the Cuckool mix. Like i said other than a few difference it's basically the same. You can download the version of the song in my profile to compare...cause the on i have available is the original version. I think that it is ok to embed stuff...it just can't be played automatically. Heh...you caught that as well...the only thing missing is the stuff that happen in between....the not so happy events in her scenario. So i guess the series will follow Nagisa's storyline....*sigh* *note* Yeah...i've noticed that too that melonbread is becoming more & more influencial in anime nowadays.... @ Quint-san So i take it you really didn't like AIR or KANON....i'm a little suprised about that. Was it the pacing or the storyline that you didn't understand. Series based on KEY games are heavy on storyline & character development...at time it can be overwhelming. I don't really have any response with this online community dealing with anime you are talking about. For me i'm like SkyL-san...i watch whether the anime is popular or not. Sometimes i don't have the time to watch alot of series...for instance i haven't even seen 'Lucky Star' yet. For the most part i'm very selective on the series i must see. Anime like CLANNAD i must see cause i'm a fan of KEY & i've played the game. All the people who are hyping it are those who have played the game as well....there is a very large fanbase for CLANNAD that has grown since it first came out 3 years ago...those who have played & heard of KEY make up the majority of them. Mainstream fans are less aware of it....so i understand the questioning of whether they want to see it or not. Suzumiya was probably already a big hit in Japan (before anime was made) cause of the light novels...however when the anime was made it took off. It wasn't as hyped mainly due to the online community not being able to read these novels. They weren't translated so it was difficult for the 'english reading' people to know about it. If they were it'll probably recieve the hype. Of course this is all speculation on my part.....but does anybody agree with this? I'm not here to push series like this onto people....i'm just saying to give it a chance. If you like it that's great...if not...no biggy. *Note* Anyways i made a playlist in imeem of songs uploaded....i posted the playlist at the 1st post. About 20 songs with some uploaded by yours truly. If Gendou-san doesn't want it posted i'll remove it. |

I just keep loving this anime more and more as I see the episodes. Just finished episode two right now and it was good. The Dango thing is really getting to me now. I occasionally hum the ending aloud. o^_^o It's amazing how Tomoya makes new female friends whenever he's 'curious.' He can just walk up to any strange girl he's never met before, and right there begins a friendship. I wish I could do that... (:\ That Tomoyo/Sunohara fight scene was cool. She had some 528 combo in the end there? XDXD They also used a track or two from the OST. Tomoya yelling out to the class that Kyou was "Bi" was really funny, lol. XD The ending of episode two is one I've seen before, so I can guess what might happen in episode two or so.

It said in the anime, Dango is old, or something. It's new to me though, or is it... O.o` Try researching information about it and see what you can come up with. [sidenote] These two Japanese girls and my cousin drew Dangos on a birthday card for me yesterday. They had some message saying, "watch episode two" or something, since Nagisa made a poster and drew the Big Dango Family all over it. o^_^o I already saw the episode before, so yeah... I knew about it already. XD This one kid who I know that lives near them too, didn't know what the entire thing was (not an anime fan/viewer), so he drew Pacmans all over the card to try and 'fit in.' He totally f'ed up my card, but it's all good though. ^_~`

Just finished watching the second episode... Gosh, this anime is so cute >.< Esp. the ED animation :3 I just love Tomoyo XD Nagisa is a really cute girl.... it's sad how Okizawa can't play basketball anymore T_T Cause I looooove basketball! uh oh, she got a fever? o.o |
