@Athrun:that is very impressive. 5 octaves, eh. I could barely cover 3 octaves. @Pame:hehee.... You are AWESOME!!! It is my dream to sing but I never get a chance to. Sorry that might have protentially demage some of your ears but I really appreciate your audience.  |

YOU guys have no idea...How much happy it makes me to organize a singing competition!! I've always wanted to do it...and thanks to all of you...I was able to. I'm completely decided to explore the talent of the Gendounians...My hearts get fill with joy everytime I hear someone with a great voice! Thank you for that!! Thank you all for joining the competition and supporting this idea! And because the competition attracted more peope than expected...I'll do season 2 ^-^ Soooo prepare...more awards and more opportunities to show what you have Gendounians!!!! I'm still missing two entries...Please...submit your entry!! Athrun: Ahhh 5 octaves...I'm expecting you to join the competition season 2...^-^ |

XD lol 5 octaves? I dunno what my singing range is.. not that big haha omg. w/o - years of training? I've had no training ehe ^^' just sang along with a lot of songs, recorded some songs five years ago somewhere and last year summer i found out I could record songs and this year i found out i could learn how to mix myself lol so =D I've only been singing for real this year so to speak ^_^ pame - it must be such a drag to organize this (even tho it 's fun) organizing anything is so hard!! you're doing great ^^ -x-

uuugh I dunno XD i suggest you get to a keyboard or piano and sing along with the notes XDDD then again if you don't know the keys then you still wouldnt'know what an octave is o_O

Woohoo~! *waits for semifinals* @Engel: Well... an octave is, an octave. ^^ An octave, I think, is a span of 8 keys (12 semitones) -- for example from middle C to the next C (That means C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C). In other words: do re mi fa so la ti do -> that's one octave. Now imagine singing a span of five octaves... that's just amazing. ^^  |

I would like to clarify for Athrun that he/she doesn't NOT sing 5 octave, but only 2 octave. (I didn't think it was humanly possible) @Erkun:nice explanation. 5 octave range means you have to be a male bass to a female soprano. Unless you are a male and a female, that is very tough to do. ^___^ @Engel:without any music theory background, it can be confusing and darn right intimitating to read music. But most of the time you don't have to know the theory to play or sing. But if you are ever serious about singing, some knowledge of music theory is helpful. |

I agree with withoutyou... 5 octaves is just crazy...too crazy...to be real... I have never taken any kind of singing lesson and what I know about music it's because I've taught myself...I know what an octave is...because I heard someone talk about it once...ask and then learned ^-^ Same with the definitions of Falsetto and vibratto...my friend is a fabulous singer...she taught me those words. And...yup...I really can't tell what is my range...What I know is that I suck with low notes..ahahaha...But I can owned the high ones...which makes me a Light Soprano...a musician told me that once...which means...I have a soft voice...not deep and strong enough...but since I can reach high notes with ease...that makes me a soprano...he made me sing notes in a keyboard. ^-^ If I could make my voice deeper and stronger I would be a lyric soprano, and if I could do crazy stuff with my voice like Christina Aguilera...I would be A Dramatic Soprano. But...I'm a light soprano...^-^ and I'm happy like that! And enough with that! and SEMIFINALS START TOMORROW!!!! |
